As mentioned in my review, Aqua Class is PERFECT for those who would like easy access to the spa and fitness centers and Blu itself is worth the extra money! I would recommend a room on the starboard side of the ship for the best views. Read entire member review >>
This accessible Aqua Class cabin was large, clean, well organized and well maintained. The balcony was very large. The cabin is located in a quiet section of the ship not far from the elevator. Read entire member review >>
I have always stayed in AQ below the pool deck and never had a problem on M class ships. However, on the Solstice every morning around 6:30 am the thumping would start. The loungers were being put back out and they were being slammed down vs placed down. This was the only problem we encountered. Read entire member review >>
Excluding the balcony area, the cabin was the usual good standard, although the wardrobe was showing signs of its age, the bed was very comfortable and the shower room well equipped. Read entire member review >>
Very nice room, wonderful shower. But the location under the fitness center, directly beneath the treadmills -- sorry -- but this should not be an Aqua Class room. If you're paying extra money, then you should not underneath the noisiest area of the ship. Read entire member review >>
The cabin was ok, but the pillows were so large particularly for a smaller person or woman, I asked if they had any pillows for children for which I got a resounding No! The layout was not the best as the bed was beside the balcony door and the lounge was near the bathroom, not very good if you want to sit and relax and watch the scenery. The curtains met in the middle of the doors so you could not pull your curtain back a small distance and have the balcony door open without it blowing your curtains everywhere. Cabin and service were extraordinary. Nice floor plan and ample closet space with plenty of hangers. TV swings out for late night viewing in bed. In Aqua Class, the showers have additional shower jets that my wife enjoyed. Read entire member review >>
Spacious, well appointed, quiet, and the temperature was always what we had set it at (A/C worked beautifully). Balcony was decent sized and we had plenty of seating. Storage was ample for a non-suite. Read entire member review >>
We very much prefer having an aft cabin and we were lucky enough this trip to have booked 1674 which was A1 Aqua Class. This cabin has the widest balcony on the aft of it's type. and is 2 levels below the back Oceanview cafe deck. We found it very convenient to the buffet, pool etc. The only negative I would say is we did hear noise outside our cabin door in the mornings as there is a staff service entrance opposite our door where they would pile up room service dishes etc. We really didn't mind it that much though and would definitely book this cabin again in the future. The stateroom was adequate with nice amenities. Bathroom had very nice shower head -- and plenty of storage space. The noise from the public area above us was unexpected, but we were compensated for our inconvenience. The bed was very comfortable. Read entire member review >>
Excellent accessibility, which was essential for my wheelchair-using daughter. Plenty of room for her power scooter, fully-accessible bathroom, and a balcony for wonderful views! Read entire member review >>
The fact that this cabin is listed and sold as an A1 is a sham and a complete mistake.
YOU WILL HAVE VERY OBSTRUCTED VIEWS. AVOID 1551 IF YOU CAN. In addition to the intense overhang, 1551 has the window washing gantry system stowed outside of it, along with an access ladder. This is extremely frustrating and ruins a large portion of your view outside.
Other than that, the cabin was clean, and relatively quiet (though you could hear a crew door/pool access room outside if you listened at certain times.)
Couch is hard and relatively uncomfortable as always, but the bed was pretty decent and the bathroom totally fine.
Again, A1 isn't the problem, THIS A1 is. Stay far away and if you find yourself assigned it, change. Trust me. Read entire member review >>
Standard outside cabin with balcony. We usually book Junior Suites on Royal Caribbean, so this felt small, but eventually we acclimated to the size. Closet was small for what we packed. Read entire member review >>
neat and tidy. Large queen bed, decent sized bathroom.Small balcony but ok. Has a lounge and a tv with free movies. Champagne waiting for us in room. Free access to Blue restaurant (specialty restaurant) and spa amenities. Some free wi fi would of been nice in the aquaclass rooms.Staff were excellent if you needed anything. Starboard middle. Very clean, nice size, comfy bed, good bathroom, great shower. Overhang and supports affected the view for photos/videos. No noise from above at all. No kids in corridors. Read entire member review >>
Cabin was nice size. Bathroom much larger than expected. Balcony was large enough for 2 to sit comfortably. Unfortunately there was no plug in the bathroom for the hair blower. Read entire member review >>
Plenty of space. Room for all our clothes and cosmetics etc. Put the suitcase under the bed. Balcony has 2 chairs and a table. Room has a moveable table and a desk area and chair. TV and refrigerator. Tea and fresh fruit daily. Daily service and turn down service. Bottled water daily. Cabin is midships and a short walk to lifts. Read entire member review >>
The stateroom in Aqua class made the trip all the more enjoyable. spacious enough and excellent service from the stateroom attendants. The extra amenties of the spa and Blu restaurant were utilised and enjoyed. Read entire member review >>
A really great location I think - mid-way between the midship and forward elevators. Nice and quiet - hardly saw or heard anyone in the corridors other than the crew, didn't hear anything from the neighbours except on days when we were on our balcony for sail-away and got to chatting. Heard no noise from deck 12. The bed is next to the balcony which is lovely. Plenty of storage space although I don't know what the purpose of the cupboards over the bed is for - you'd need to be a Goliath to access them. The lovely Violetta and Dennis did a great job as room attendants. Being on the starboard side not so desirable for Sydney (city view, not Opera House) but got the port view (rather than the sea view) in Noumea (unfortunately). Read entire member review >>
Great location next to the second floor library and elevators/steps. Average size balcony just off the "bump". Very quite with the exception of when there is a deck party...can hear the music and bass. Bed is located next to the balcony door. I would book it again. Read entire member review >>
There was no direct obstruction from our room but the window washing apparatus was parked in the next room 1551 or maybe 1549. There was also some type of fold out on the overhang outside of 1551. If you are sitting on the left chair (facing outwards), you will see the washing apparatus. If you are looking straight, you won't see it. Looking down from the veranda, you can see the life boats. This wasn't an issue for me.The issue with deck 11 is that you have all the supporting beams holding the deck above us so you can't get a panoramic view (mid ship rooms). Also, with the overhang, you can look up so when the ship was in Tracy Arm, you couldn't look up onto the cliffs. The deck's size was normal and I didn't see any issues. We didn't have any noise problems. It was pretty quiet. The room is on the port side towards the front side of mid-ship so you are very close the elevators and the stairs. You can also use the secret stairs to get to the relaxation lounge and the fitness center. The elevators will also take you straight down to the Solstice Theater and straight up to the Sky Lounge. The bad news is everything else is on the back end of the ship. It is a long walk to all the restaurants and to the coffee shop. Read entire member review >>
Typical Aqua Class cabin. Comfortable bed and nice size veranda. Usually have flowers in the room but not this time. Usually have superior cabin service but far from it this time. Worst afternoon canapes we have ever had and worst steward. If our experience was the only one we have had with this class of service I would say it wasn't worth the upgrade. Cabin was in the forward section, floor 11, Cabin 1545. Excellent location near the elevators and stairs. noise was not a problem. Very convenient since the ship is so large. Read entire member review >>
Room 1565 in the middle of the ship on the starboard side. Loved the room - never heard noises other than the ocean as we slept with the door partially open. Bathroom was great and the shower was awesome compared to other cruises of past from different cruise lines! Plenty of storage and room was clean and always tended to. Read entire member review >>
Lovely room on deck 11. Room was fairly spacious and lots of storage space available. And lots of hangers! The AQ perks were wonderful, loved the jets in the shower and our room steward (Del) kept me in ice three times a day!! People have complained about the deck noise above, but we didn't hear the deck chairs being moved, but did hear people (kids?) running during the day above us. I was not crazy about the overhang on the veranda as it prohibited some picture taking. The bed was comfortable and seemed like it was a king size bed!! Veranda was awesome and used it quite a bit, even having breakfast outside on our warmer days of Alaska. If I were to cruise the Solstice again on Aqua Class, I would try to get one of the bump out cabins so I would not have that overhang to get in the way of my pictures. All in all, a very nice room and loved the location to the mid elevators. Read entire member review >>
Quiet, closest to forward elevators (Spa, Spa Pool and Sky Lounge side). No large overhang so could get good sun on veranda. Lovely bathroom and lots of space. Very satisfied. Read entire member review >>
Same size as most but tastefully decorated. Good bathroom. Smallish balcony but big enough. Could do with a divider between the bed and lounge should one wake up earlier than the other. Could do with some more clothes storage space Read entire member review >>
Room 1610. Standard Aquaclass cabin with extended balcony on the Starboard side looking forward. Bathroom layout best in industry for a standard room. Shower with special shower heads terrific. Plenty of storage, flat panel TVs and great bed. Read entire member review >>
Nice room. Standard balcony size. Aqua class has some nice touches. Mabey not worth the large expense. Some noise above. Limited view due to roof. Hard to get great shots without having the handover roof in the picture. Recommend moving to deck 9 or 10. Read entire member review >>
AQ 1625 - this is a lovely cabin and very quiet as it's under other cabins, not the pool. The bed is near the bathroom. The sliding door wardrobe is next to the bed and there are two storage cupboards/boxes over the bed, which can be slightly awkward to reach. There are a few small drawers under the TV and a large basket under the bed which we used to store our shoes! Our suitcases stored easily under the bed. There are American and European sockets on the vanity unit plus an American style shaver socket in the bathroom. It has a reasonable sized balcony with an overhang but this does not restrict the view and the sun reached us in the morning or evening. There were two lovely chairs and footstools plus a small table on the balcony. A wonderful bathroom, with an amazing shower that has proper shower doors and a little bar to help ladies shave their legs! There is plenty of storage space in the bathroom. This cabin is not near any crew space and not too far from the lifts. Read entire member review >>
This is a great cabin with an over-sized balcony due to being on the slant. It is about three times the size of a normal balcony. Most of it is covered though. We found this to be a plus because it kept things nice and cool, however if you want lots of sun you may not be happy. It is also located right off the elevators, but noise was not a problem. The bed is located next to the bathroom. There was plenty of storage for all our stuff. They do keep a service cart right in front of cabin 1608 (next door) however we did not find this to be an inconvenience. This is a great cabin, we have even booked it again for our next cruise. I was in the Aquaspa Class, so I got a few things other people wouldn't. Our deck and view were amazing, as well as the service. The bed was firmer than I'm used to. I needed an extra blanket, since I was very cold my first night. Things were better with the extra blanket. The space for sitting and the desk were very nice, right next to the deck, so we could look out at the view, if we were sitting at either. Read entire member review >>
Aqua Class 1598 Very compact but comfortable, well decorated and spotlessly clean. There was adequate storage space and the shower was very good. The choice of programs on the TV was very limited (no good sports programs)and the films were very expensive. Read entire member review >>
Cabin 1533 - great location, quiet and very close to the spa and solarium without the noise of the gym as you are below the treatment rooms. Small closet, but an ideal ship location for the balcony. With the curves of the exterior of the ship, this is one of the more private balconies. However, noisy neighbors can easily break the peace and quiet. Read entire member review >>
Great location on starboard side, great layout and decor. Bathroom was large with the best shower. Storage was more than adequate. Quiet, other than normal wind noise while at sea. Could hear neighbor's TV/music, but not bothersome. Right near secret staircase to AquaSpa, and perfect location to watch activities on bridge during port days and to see people scurrying back because they pushed their time in port. Would book AquaClass and this stateroom again! Read entire member review >>
great reclining chairs in the balcony, plenty of room for storage, great shower head, nice design of bathroom, right by elevator (a good thing), right above aqua spa cafe (bad thing, VERY NOISY at different times of night) Read entire member review >>
Disappointed with the Hansgrove shower jets. Was expecting a much more vigorous and stimulating shower experience. In #1585 we were awoken each morning to the sounds of the pool chairs being laid out. Very annoying. Also having to continually ask for ice when it was obvious with empty wine chiller and ice bucket. Should be filled each time the room is cleaned. With an upcharge to Aqua Class we should get better service Read entire member review >>
1586: good room. No tub/shower only. Nice storage over beds. A/C not cooling properly but had it repaired and it worked some better but still hot when we were using the blow dryer! Read entire member review >>
Cabin 1587 - Port side - good when in Port. Under the pool deck which created noise when people moved the deck chairs around and during the late night dance party held by the pool. It is under the over hang from the pool deck which is good and bad. Good because it blocks direct sunlight and bad because it can block you taking pictures at times. Read entire member review >>
1605--one of the Hump AQ balconies--the balcony was very long and we really enjoyed it. We were next to one of the large Suites.
1654--CC room starboard aft. Nice room, normal balcony. Read entire member review >>
Pillows and Bed very comfortable, but rounded bottom to the bed is a waste of space, balcony too deep, and windy. tab nabs horrible. Toilet roll holder was a nuisance, roll kept falling off Read entire member review >>
Very nice cabin. It has a partially obstructed view with window washing equipment hanging in front of the next cabin. Noise from deck above late at night and early in the morning. Read entire member review >>
Rooms: We were in 1603. Sebi was attentive and thoughtful. I appreciated the Aqua Class amenities, the canapes, water bottles, herbal tea, toiletries, shower and pillow menu. The balcony was larger then standard and we looked down directly over ocean , not life boats. The location off the library was easy and quick. The beds were super comfortable...very nice bathrooms. Yet, there was not enough storage space in the cabin. The TV was hard to use, especially the music (was there a shuffle option?) I did not like that I could feel the pool band in my room or hear the pool staff arrange the chairs. Yet, the mystery/master light switches (located behind the cabin door) drove me crazy… I can't count the times I used the bathroom in the dark… I think labels would really help. cabin was Mid ship, good location, bad configuration of the closet as the safe takes up a lot of room, lots of storage space for the size of the cabin, water not hot enough in the shower, weren't offered the so called choice of pillows, not thrilled with the daily herbal tea, would have appreciated more than one bottle of water a day, relatively speaking good cabin staff. The cabin in AQ was beautiful but watch your selection. You may be under the exercise room which can be noisy or under the pool area. The over hang from the deck above gives you a closed in feeling and you cannot see the stars. Unless you really want to dine in Blue every night and or use the Persian Gardens daily I would suggest you book Concierge Class. Read entire member review >>
