The cabin itself was fine as well as the cabin steward who serviced the room twice a day. He was absolutely great. The dining at the Blu restaurant on board was absolutely delightful. Our waiter Orlando was a delight to interact with. Exceptionally personable. The buffet was dreadful. The food there was luke warm at best and even made my g/f sick to the point she stayed in the cabin in bed popping imodium for the last full day of the cruise and even missing visiting Victoria BC. Guest relations had to remake my room key sail card 3 times being it wouldn't open the cabin door and I finally gave up on it and my g/f opened the door, her's worked all the time or had the cabin steward open it for me if I was by myself. Personally speaking I expected much more for a cruise that cost my nearly $5k. I'm going back to Carnival. Read Less

The cabin 1566 was very clean and our attendant, Iwyan, was friendly and accommodating. The cabin was slightly smaller than the one we had on our only other cruise (RC Symphony of the Seas), but not by much. The cabin is on the starboard side under the solarium and is quiet, and the balcony view is just about mid-ship and unobstructed. However, when in the room I mostly enjoyed the view from the sofa, which is next to the balcony in 1566. I tried to sit outside but thought it was too cold most of the time (cruised early June). The spa shower in Aqua Class was very nice with extra jets and multiple settings. The bed is rounded to create more space, but my foot hung off the rounded end when I slept, and I am only 5'5. We missed the 2nd extra closet that we had had on the newer/bigger RC Oasis class ship. The over-bed storage was not easy to access, and the desk/dresser drawers were very small, so my husband left things piled on the sofa instead, which made the room less organized and messy. All of our luggage fit under the bed with room to spare. There were only two outlets on the desk, one in the bathroom for an electric shaver, and none by the bed. I was prepared for this and brought a cruise approved adapter to provide more charging ports (the Trond 3 non-surge outlet extender). I like having my phone by the bed as a clock/alarm, and this was not possible due to the lack of an outlet. There was a provided hair dryer and also a magnification mirror in the desk drawers, and both were appreciated. Aqua Class also provides a large golf-style umbrella, a smaller folding umbrella, two heavy spa robes, spa slippers, and small binoculars. (If you want to really look for wildlife, bring your own full size binoculars or a zoom lens camera). In addition, we received daily water bottles and iced tea, and an option for afternoon canapés. (but we did not partake), and turn down service with a chocolate on the pillow each night. I liked the cabin, and Aqua Class amenities, and would choose both again. Read Less

The cabin itself was well maintained and although there was an overhang over the balcony the view was still great. A bit about the advertised benefits for AquaClass: Pillow Menu - I was never offered one nor did I ask for one. The pillows that were provided were satisfactory. Blu Restaurant - This was a good bonus, being able to pop in for a meal without having to deal with buffet chaos or main dining room crowds was a big plus for me. Spa Concierge and Private Spa Tour - I was never offered a private spa tour and when I asked about the spa concierge no one really knew what I was referring to. I did have a couple of services in the spa and did not run into any problems booking. Exclusive Access to Persian Garden - I went in there a couple of times to take a look and all the beds were full, opted not to try again. Sparkling Wine/Canapes - Did receive the sparkling wine, was a nice touch. The canapes each night were kind of hit or miss. Some nights were better than others but overall it was nice to have a snack available between wine tastings and nightly activities. Read Less
