Dissapointing 1st Cruise, poor service, poor food

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

I had great expectation of the cruise, which turned out to be a nightmare. The embarkation is fine. But my luggage was not delivered to my room till after 6pm, so we couldn't find the right outfit for the dinner(We chose 6pm dining). I would have brought my luggage with me if I had known it was so slow. The stateroom, overall, is designed well. However, the service is poor. The room was cleaned ...

We waited for a few months before deciding to write about This review,as we were hoping Celebrity would make us feel they do care when cruises go terribly wrong. We embarked March 13th for a 7 day cruise to the eastern Caribbean. At around 3:00AM Tuesday morning I awoke as sick as I have ever been. Went to the medical office and received a IV drip and a shot and was taken back to our cabin in a ...

This was our sixth cruise, the first on Celebrity. Based on Celebrity's reputation we thought it would be a notch above Princess, the line we had previously cruised on five times. How mistaken we were. The ship was gorgeous, the food was mostly good, and the bed was comfortable. That's the end of the positives.First off, though we did not arrive at the port extraordinarily early, we were put in a ...

Getting from the airport to the port was a breeze. We had done the online check in, but still had to wait in lines for a while. Not too bad. The cabin was what we expected. I had purchased a soda package for me, a beer package for my husband, and a bottle of Jack Daniels with set ups for the cabin. My seapass card showed the soda package, but my husband's was blank. Nothing about his beer package. ...

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED ON CELEBRITY SOLSTICE

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with Celebrity Solstice cruise. We had cabin 6233 which was so noisy with creaking between the walls and ceiling. Complained after first night with no help from guest relations. We were told the ship was sold out. Finally spoke with head of guest relations and on the fifth night at 11:30 pm, yes, PM, we were offered another room. They sent someone up three times to try to ...

The Celebrity Solstice - A Fine Ship With Fundamental Flaws

Having completed 6 previous cruises mostly with Cunard, we chose the Celebrity Solstice on recommendation. Embarkation Embarkation at Fort Lauderdale was long and tiresome as we had to wait 2 hours after being herded in a seating area before being allowed to board. This was in order for US customs to check the ship and crew which we were told was routine for ships coming into America after ...

BRING MULLA AND LOTS OF IT

I agree with people that the Celebrity Solstice is a beautiful ship, has a tentative crew, and that it has superb meals, however, something that no one ever mentions, is that - you have to pay for everything. GET READY TO BRING TONS OF MULLA!!!! You get charged everyday between $11.50 to $15.00 per person for gratuities, then there are charges for tipping when you buy water, coke, booze, and lets ...
