1-10 of 148 Celebrity Solstice Cruise Reviews for for the Disabled to Alaska
Three generations including ten grandkids, 2 to 13 years. This was an ideal itinerary getting Texans out of the summer heat and seeing sights even many of the adult kids had never experienced. Celebrity has a good kids program and that was a major benefit.
Ship size was a compromise--large enough to have multiple activities and not so huge that there are no intimate spaces.
Ship was full ...
We had been on Celebrity before a couple of years ago but had done a second Marella Cruise in January which we thought had gone downhill so back to Celebrity. Alaska was on our bucket list. Not the fault of Celebrity but Seattle Airport is the pits. Queues so long we had to go down the escalator, round the block and back up stairs before we even got to the main queue so would never go back ...
We chose this cruise for the itinerary and May sailing. The ship overall is very clean and pretty but is showing a little bit of wear and age. The crew is excellent and really makes this ship special. Our room steward was the best we have had on ten plus cruises. The staff in the Blu restaurant were excellent and the food overall was very good and wonderfully presented. The buffet was very ...
We just thought to try it once and see if it was for us. We had a good experience for most things except for the cost of buying cappuccino in the morning. It was so disappointing and distasteful that we poured it down the drain and said we will never buy it again. It cost about $9 each, what in the world for. What were we to spend the on board credit for? I sure didn't know and who to turn to ...
Things we liked: wonderful boat and amenities, the crew was kind and hard-working, and the food was good for the most part. The ports were great and we liked the setup of the ship. Service and food in Murano was exceptional, best place to eat by a long shot.
Things we didn't like: service in MDR was very rushed, we felt hustled along to order and eat, food was good though. Service in Tuscan ...
So Alaska was a bucket list cruise. The chance to revisit Vancouver and a first time visit to Seattle was too good to pass up. Everything about this itinerary was amazing and after a few spots of rain for about 30 minutes in Ketchikan, it was mostly blue skies and warmth throughout. Could not have conjured up better weather.
Fantastic stay in Auberge hotel just 5 minute walk to the port in ...
This was our first Celebrity Cruise. We departed from Vancouver and there were two ships boarding. I'll bet we walked 2 miles serpentining through the terminal to finally board. Passengers for both ships were together but near the end were finally separated. This could have been real problem for someone with mobility issues.
We had a balcony room, that was fine. You are able to fit your ...
First this was not a 15 night Bering Sea & Japan TransPacific but an 8 night Vancouver to Los Angeles Pacific Coast cruise. The ship was in very good condition with a few exceptions, like a bench seat with torn upholstery in the Oceanview Cafe. We were in Cabin 3174 (Unobstructed Oceanview) which has a convenient location to minimize walking distance and was not excessively noisy. Main dining ...
I booked early and got a good price on a GTO, otherwise you might have seen a different review from me. .
View from balcony was OK. Had some amusing exchanges with the bridge when I was on my balcony. View was a little obstructed and not very private.
Cabin was fine enough for two. I wouldn't put more than that in there. I wish that the TV was visible from the bed. I also wish they had ...
My daughter and I were with a group of 74. I am an single leg amputee and a full time electric wheelchair user. The embarking and disembarking process was very efficient. The staff in the buffet was extremely helpful in carrying and filling your plate and locating a table. The food was great in the MDR and the buffet. Specialty dining with Le Petit Chef was outstanding and the filet mignon very ...
