I recently had the unfortunate experience of cruising on the Celebrity Solstice, and regrettably, my overall impression is far from positive. The cruise was marred by a series of disappointments, primarily centered around the lackluster service and subpar amenities.
From the onset, the service on the ship left much to be desired. Rather than creating a relaxing environment, the staff seemed ...
We have been on several cruises previously , although we have never travelled with Celebrity. Upon arrival our cabin was dirty with used dressing gowns under the bed and a contact lense, which neither of us wear on the floor. the bathroom was grubby . we had requested twin beds but the bed was double. i went outside and spoke to a staff member who said' you can easily separate the beds.' If we had ...
We booked through an online travel agent who advertised this cruise on Celebrity Millennium. The ship, they said, was "refurbished in 2016". After reading this, I would have expected the whole ship was refurbished or otherwise it should have read...partial refurbishment. But no it did not mention exactly what had been refurbished. We took it on good faith and booked a 14 day cruise around ...
Compared to other cruises this ship seems very tired, there were no entertainment staff pushing shows and events and you were left to actively seek out entertainment and shows.I found some of the staff very rude and condescending especially guest services ,the drinks were very hit and miss one good cocktail out of three, they ran out of certain beers very quickly and the best they could do was offer ...
Would never sail in the constellation as little activities and same old food everyday lack of waiters for bars noisey ship, bars up stairs closing at 6.30pm , entertainment wasn't crash hot , lack of English speaking crew had noise in cabin complained several time and last day of cruise they decided to upgrade me and every port we went to to get to town was 2hrs away and u had to find your own ...
I chose this cruise because it was a five star modern luxury ship. But in effect it was 3 star at best, it was going in for refit it was understaffed, the service was very poor the food was the same every day. The cabin was old battered, stains on the balocony and the bed had metal sticking out of it which my husband hurt his leg on.
I had been looking forward to this 5 star ship as we had ...
Cheap rate for such a beautiful cruise. Excellent cabin service, magnificent meals, well organised day tours, friendly crew, excellent cabin concierge, well mannered and nothing was too much trouble. Great entertainment, easy to navigate ship restaurants and other facilities Enjoyed ourselves immensely and would not hesitate in recommending my friends to participate on one of your cruises. ...
Compared to Solstice Class ships a very, very disappointing experience. Public areas are old and dirty and not well maintained. Half of the showers in Persian Garden did not work. Ocean view cafe is crowded and noisy, tables used and dirty. Most of the ports are fare away from everything, even Hong Kong. Despite Aqua Class priority boarding one hour standing in line for embarkation. Lifts ...
As a wee retirement treat after nearly 40 years as a Firefighter decided to take my wife on another cruise for the first and will be the last time with Celebrity. Can say from start to finish we had nothing but issues. Rather than give you a daily account of my miserable cruise I shall list the Celebrity failures.
Soon as wee stepped on board was met by slightly aggressive Stewards as they ...
We booked the Millennium as a party of 12 celebrating a 70th birthday. Given the high premium we paid, we were expecting 2 weeks of good food and great entertainment. What we actually received was 14 days of disappointment where the highlight of the day was the inevitable stopover at Guest Relations.
Embarkation: Smooth. The staff at the port in Singapore were excellent in processing passengers ...
