This was a two week Christmas and New Years cruise Singapore to Hong Kong. We were excited to see the Millennium after her last major refurbishment in Feb. I last sailed on Millennium in 2001 and the ship was hardly recognisable. The changes were gorgeous! We were in an extra large ocean view cabin 9000. Prior to the renovation this cabin had two small sofas, after the redo just one and a ...
This was our first ever cruise, a pretty bold step to take for your honeymoon, especially when one of you (me) gets sea sick. I really wanted to show my husband this part of the world though and he isn’t one for travelling from place to place so a cruise seemed like a good idea. Off I popped to the chemist and stocked up on all of the drugs, and with everything crossed for smooth seas we set off ...

We cruised on the Millennium, from Singapore to Hong Kong, over Christmas and New Year.
And we had an amazing time…
The itinerary was just brilliant, giving us time to have a taste of Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Hong Kong. Yes, some of the places you might want to visit are a long way from the ports, but if you’ve done your research you’ll know this and be prepared for some long coach ...
We chose this cruise as we had previously sailed with Celebrity in 2018 and were very impressed with the ship, facilities and the food. We also wanted the opportunity to sample The countries in the agenda.
Firstly the ship and amenities were good. The only issue with the facilities was the open air cinema was on the only deck in the ship that did not have a lift so having a mobility issue was ...
Not long home from another great Celebrity cruise. This was our 1st Christmas/New Year cruise and we were not disappointed. Although the ship is looking tired (it’s about to get its refit ) it didn’t spoil our holiday at all. The ship was beautifully decked out with Christmas trees and lights everywhere and the crew were amazing.
The ports were very good although we stayed onboard in Mumbai ...
We chose the itinerary not the ship. I was slightly concerned about the age & size of the ship and the fact that she was getting a refurb AFTER our cruise.
I was pleasantly surprised by the Connie. She had a graceful old charm & dignity to her. Yes I did find some examples of worn cushions, torn carpet and evidence of age. This did not spoil anything or detract from the cruise. The smaller ...
We chose this cruise as we wanted to travel to India, but were unsure about what that destination would be like, so we saw cruising as a safe and easier option (with the benefit of returning to our version of normality at the end of each day). It was a good choice. We could experience the manic chaos of India and enjoy the sensory overload that it is, and then retreat each afternoon/evening to ...
Just thought I’d share a few notes with our fellow cruisers out there. I’ve never written a review before so bare with me.
We started in Singapore, one of the most expensive cities in the world. It’s what a major city should look like clean, architecturely beautiful and easy to maneuver. Our hotel faced the iconic Sands hotel. This area is close to most of the attractions so the price point ...
Our first Celebrity cruise. Embarkation was very good but my first contact with onboard crew was that they where miserable, no smiles, no welcome.
Cabin was very nice but still a few small jobs not completed from the refurb and the shower leaked very badly and was reported on numerous occasions. The cabin was extremely noisy early morning due to the sun loungers being dragged around by the ...
