3 Beautiful Sunny Days in Alaska!

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

Second time to Alaska, but first time on Celebrity. The ship is in great shape with the only exception being the mini bars. In most cases, based on our informal elevator survey these can't be called refrigerated at all. If you need that for medical or other reasons be aggressive early. They don't have spare units or anyone that can fix them as best we can tell. Even with all the empty rooms ...

But then only 600 ppeople on the ship.Check in was a bit of a hassle. Had to show documents three times to three different people. But at least we made it.we Booked Aqua Blue. Enjoyed the cabin and the new shower door compared to Princess Shower curtains. Also remodel really has made the room very nice. The sofa was a plus, especially sine Princess has removed any seating in Balcony cabins below ...

I booked this cruise after my Northern Europe cruise on Silhouette was cancelled. I booked through the casino for what was at first an almost complimentary cruise. I decided to upgrade us to Aqua Class. We stayed in 9164 Aft Balcony which is a huge accessible cabin. Boarding was easy as just walking on with proof of vaccination and negative COVID test results before boarding. This was a ...

I love Alaska and have enjoyed Celebrity on a previous cruise. The ship was only booked to about one third capacity. The weather was cool and wet. Probably normal for this time of year. The ship’s staff was wonderful. I was able to upgrade my ocean view cabin to a balcony cabin as soon as I got onboard for $100. Some excursions were cancelled due to low participation. Not sure if all passengers ...

Good, but not great

Overall, a good cruise. We traveled with an 8 and 10 year old, and all involved had a pretty good time. The crew was quite good - highly engaged, friendly, and helpful. They really worked hard. Food was a mix. Appetizers and soups were typically very good. Fruits were very good. Meats were typically lower quality and overcooked. Desserts looked lovely, but were a bit bland. Breads were ...

I know that everyone is in need of a real vacation and Celebrity Millennium was there for us - Seattle, Ketchikan, Dawes Glacier, Juneau, Skagway, Seattle. We are a couple, average age 65 with 20+ cruises on Celebrity, Azamara, Oceania, Seabourn, Viking Ocean, Royal Caribbean, Princess, and Norwegian. Packing - You will need your fluffy winter jacket for the glacier; otherwise, temps required ...

Always wanted to see Alaska and decided on Celebrity Solstice. This was our first time cruising with Celebrity and we were not disappointed. All Staff was wonderful and accommodating and very friendly. Dining was always a pleasure whether in the main dining, buffet and especially in the specialty restaurants. Murano was my particular favorite although the others were also outstanding. Cafe ...

Great itinerary, visiting great Alaska areas. Weather in July was beautiful. We were in the pool on the first sea day! Sunny and warm. We opted for a suite, as you get expedited embarkation, disembarkation, a butler, access to Luminae, and Michael’s Club. The ship is showing signs of age, but is due for refurbishment in 2020. Common areas are clean though. Staff are (for the most ...

Great Value

We were asked to join another couple on an Alaskan cruise and after looking at all the cruise lines, we selected Celebrity because it was not as large as Royal Caribbean and not as expensive as smaller ships such as Viking. We spent one night in Seattle and had plenty of time to check out Pike Place Market and walk around a bit. We waited to board till around 3 pm and it went very smoothly and ...
