Friends of ours kept telling us how the Celebrity Summit was their favorite ship. We hadn't been on Celebrity for over 10 years. We departed out of San Juan. Our flight arrived at 4:30, so got to the ship late. Needless to say, the embarkation process was fast as nobody was there! We were on the ship in 10 minutes. Missed the muster drill, so had the makeup powerpoint presentation in a conference room - 10 minutes long and painless. Definitely better than the drill.

This was my 2nd cruise on the Summit (first was December 2018 pre-revolution) and we were excited to see all the changes.
Embarkation was quick and easy. I’ve been on over 50 cruises and in addition to the quickest embarkation of all, this was my favorite cruise! We arrived at the port at 1 pm and we were having our first cocktails by 110 at the Sunset bar.

Pre-cruise: We stayed two nights at the Embassy Suites, San Juan Hotel & Casino. We were very pleased with our stay at the hotel. The pool is beautiful. The free breakfast was ok, and we enjoyed the free “happy hour” in the evening.
