Horrible Customer Service

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Celebrity Summit

Celebrity Summit was the worst cruise I have been on because there was no customer service or care. The cruise line lost my luggage for seven days of my cruise and I got nothing from customer service other then they are sorry. Seven days with one pair of underwear!!! I Flew into Porto Rico and use the Cruise Line’s airport to ship transfer. My bags had multiple room tags securely attached to them. ...

Disappointing Cruise

We sailed over the Christmas holidays on the Celebrity Summit out of San Juan, Puerto Rico. We are veteran cruisers, this being our 11th trip -- but this was the first time we have sailed with Celebrity. We have previously sailed with Costa, Royal Caribbean, Princess and Holland America. We had heard many good things about Celebrity and were very much looking forward to an excellent ...

Terrible Cruise

My partner and I cruised on the Celebrity Summit this past November and stayed in a Royal Suite. We had a very bad experience. We are frequent cruisers and generally stay in a suite category room. This was our first cruise with Celebrity. On arrival we noticed the room was poorly maintained. The front door latch was loose missing a screw and had to be fixed by the Butler. Then there were ...

Celebrity Summit Huge Disappointment!

I am not surprised at all from the comments from this sailing. This was the worst cruise for service we have ever had, and I thought our sailing on Westerdam was bad! We finally complained about our waiter and bus boy to the front reception desk and they had the dining room manager call us and we talked for over 20 minutes on the phone and he met us at 6:00pm in Cellars Masters one evening to ...

A Modern Disaster in Customer Service

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Celebrity Summit

I will start summarizing that this rather luxurious ship has unfortunately been submerged in the culture of its parent company "Royal Caribbean". So, instead of having had a luxury experience where all your needs are anticipated, you are in a culture were all your needs are ignored and even suite guests are treated like they are subordinates of Royal Caribbean International during the ...

First and Last with Celebrity

Problems started before we left land! Celebrity customer service informed us we could not board the ship until 5:30 pm with seemed last for a ship depart. at 8:30pm. (the truth is we could have boarded at 11:30). When we finally arrived at the pier (at 5:00) we were promptly told by the baggage carries that they needed to be tipped. The Summit is an OLD ship and very worn. Opening our ...

This cruise could be summed up in one word...BORING. If you are under 65 years old, then dont waste your money on this cruise. There were FEW activities during the entire week. The crew members in the buffet area need to be retrained on PEOPLE skills. They can be rude at times. The cruise director is about 70 years old and has no idea what kind of activities to plan for travelers under 65. If you ...

First and probably last cruise with Celebrity

My husband and I have cruised with Royal Caribbean and Carnival. This was our first and probably the last cruise on any Celebrity ship. As some other reviewers mentioned, we expected Celebrity to be upscale and a step above Royal Caribbean and Carnival. We were deeply disappointed on our very first day. Everything started with the embarkation process which was delayed for several hours to allow ...

Summit- sank to the bottom of the sea

Our flight from Miami to San Juan was filled with excitement for the three of us. We awoke at 3AM to catch our 7:15 AM flight with lots of enthusiasm and zest. We were bombarded with long lines and lots of waiting and hardly any airline personnel around to help us. Thank goodness for the American Airlines lounge where we relaxed had a chance to call our loved ones before boarding. Upon arrival in ...

Summit fell Short on Hype!

We booked this cruise for the itinerary, and in this aspect, we were not disappointed. Thank goodness we had great ports to visit otherwise our children would have formed a mutiny! First off, let me state we are loyal NCL cruises, mostly due to their terrific kid and teens club. If the kids are happy, then we are happy. We also enjoy having food choices and choosing what time we dine. However, ...
