We booked 2 nights in Rome and met our friends at royal hotel Santina a best western. Hotel next to central station and it was clean staff pleasant breakfast amazing value at 3 euros each. Rome was lovely very walkable to main sites Trevi fountain, spanish steps etc.
We had Holiday taxis for transfers from airport and to port efficient and clean taxis.
Boarding was easy and quick, ship was ...
We chose Celebrity because we had read good reviews online. We initially wanted to book a smaller ship, but wanting a larger suite for this cruise, Celebrity was more affordable.
The ship was lovely, the staff and service excellent. The food was very good almost everywhere on the ship, although the Lawn Grill was terrible. It would have been nice to have a place similar to a sports bar or ...
We love the Celebrity Reflection. The Solstice class is not too big, but big enough to offer amazing meals in the dining room and first class entertainment. The ship itself is clean, bright and easy to maneuver. We always sail in a veranda room and this time traveled in concierge, room 1077, which gave us a bigger balcony.
My only and BIGGEST disappointment was that after the first night, ...
We chose the Reflection because of itinerary and our impressive stay last year on Silhouette. Something was amiss this year compared to our last year on Celebrity Silhouette. This year there were some subtle hiccups. The butler was service we experienced last year was totally different. There were 2 days we had no contact with him at all. The Lumanae dining room was dysfunctional-again-no ...
Am trying to think of what could have improved this cruise and am coming up blank. We have cruised a lot and were last on Reflection in April. Was so warm that the pools were totally useable. Luminae was terrific, loved our butler & cabin attendant, fun crowd, silent discos. We toured on our own mostly but did the tour to Cinque Terre with ship & it was wonderful. Hard to pick a favorite port but ...
We chose Celebrity Reflection because it was going where we wanted to go and when we wanted to go, we could have chosen other cruise lines but we chose Celebrity and the Reflection because we have been on the Silhouette (the Reflection's sister ship) and loved it and we chose Celebrity because it is a cut above the other lines in Quality, and style and because your not overrun with drunks or ...
We chose this cruise for the ports of call. Lots or stops and an overnight in Barcelona. Stop over in Rome before the cruise to sightsee. There is really nothing to see in the cruise port. All of the stops were great we enjoyed both ship excursions and exploring on our own. Disappointed in the activities on board. If you do not want to bake in the sun, gamble, or drink, your choices are ...
Chose this cruise because of all of the great stops and I have been wanting to go to Rome and Barcelona. It has also been several yrs since we sailed on Celebrity and I have been wanting to sail on the REflection. although I loved the itinerary, I think too many of the good stops were front loaded on this trip; we were exhausted after our few days in Rome pre-embarkation. With Cinque Terre, ...
I was celebrating my honeymoon so we were hoping to avoid children and gimmicks and felt that Celebrity would be our best option. We decided to fly into Rome three days before boarding the ship to give us plenty of time for travel errors and to explore Italy on our own without the time restrictions.
We found the cruise hotel and transfers to be expensive so we opted to share a port shuttle ...
We had an absolutely wonderful time on our Western Mediterranean cruise on board the Reflection! It was my husband's first cruise on Celebrity (and only second cruise overall), and we took the trip to celebrate our milestone birthdays this year along with our anniversary.
We flew into Rome 3 days before embarkation to explore the city, which was wonderful but simply not enough time to see all ...
