COVID has pushed many services and business though the open door of technology. Check in was efficient and quick. The rep had a tablet loaded with the information we had added to the app while we were at home. We answered a few questions, presented our vaccination info and PCR test results and walked onto the ship. I think it took all of five minutes. The muster was conducted on the TV in our ...
Lack of pre-cruise notifications
1 We were not told of the covid infections on previous cruise and only found out from back to back passengers and crew, although we could be sent multiple emails about things for sale
2 We were handed a sheet as we boarded that mask where required at all times
3 Some ports where pay to get off ship (you had to buy a Celebrity excursion to leave ship and ...
Having had a lovely cruise in Sept aboard the Millenium we were looking forward to this B2B in the Caribbean. There was a bit of confusion at the port with times not being well marked until port personnel started calling by entry time. After that a breeze, we were in our cabin 28 minutes from Uber drop off. Our cabin changed from deck 7 as we had anticipated, we were placed in a lovely cabin on ...
We had originally booked to cruise on Celebrity Edge, however the itinerary changed twice and was no longer the cruise we booked so cancelled and rebooked for a 9 night cruise on Equinox to the Dutch Antilles.
We travelled from London Heathrow a very tedious 9 and a half hour journey. We arrived at approx 7pm and were met at Miami airport and transferred to our hotel for the night.
The ...
You get spoiled real fast as there are 800+ crew on board. It started when my cabin was changed at gate from deck 7 to deck 9. I didn't like new cabin so I went to service desk once on ship and asked for another cabin. There were at least 50 same day cancellations so knowing where rooms were I asked for and received aft corner family suite keeping my C1 status. Very nice! It got better from there ...
As veteran cruisers (45), this was an exceptional experience - not to be forgotten. The upbeat & energetic staff took the "extra mile" servicing all passenger needs & concerns. GREAT STAFF!
This 20 year old vessel, whilst in good condition, is in need of refurbishment. (a) Notwithstanding replacement of normal infrastructure wear & tear. adequate electrical and electronic interfacing is ...
I wanted to try Celebrity as a step up from Royal Caribbean or NCL. We had planned on the Summit but after postponing then cancelling, we chose this 10 day sailing. I was a little worried that I'd be too bored for that length of time on a smaller ship, but it was just fine. 10 days was not too long, especially when you need a down day or two to recharge you are not losing out on vacation ...
red to cruise?? I had to give you my two cents…
We spent the last 12 days on a Celebrity cruise to the Caribbean. Even I had some doubts before we boarded. I have to tell you it was incredible and we felt incredibly well cared for and safe the entire journey.
I’m sure destinations matter… but every island we visited was over the top with safety. We were diverted from St Croix to St ...
We were in a Celebrity suite. The angled balcony with room for three lounges and a table and chairs 1618. Highly recommended. Only problem is getting in and out of bathtub. Very high ledge. Great room attendant and butler. They taped a towel over the bedroom window so I could sleep in darkness while my husband watched playoff games on ESPN. Luminae staff terrific. We often ordered a combination of ...
Travelled on this ship 20 ago , supposed to go to Asia in the year 2020 , that of course didn’t happen . We loved the ship again , the smallest of it & easy to get around & with only 500 passengers this time , all the help were so courteous . We will definitely look for another time we can travel on her again . The food at buffet was one of the best , & the restaurants were just as good as any ...
