4th time on Reflection 10 day cruise - Came home with COVID.
Cabins poor furnishings.
Cabins will not be refurbished until 2026 it can't be about $$$ with all the new ships Celebrity's launching more likely forcing people to Edge class ships without natural balconies.
MDR food improving but staff service slow overworked.
Oceanview cafe too many Indian dishes , raw chicken in one ...
Usually we cruise RCCL but decided on Reflection to try a 10 day itenerary that suited us.We arranged our entirer vacation through Celebrity.
Precruise hotel was overrated and pick up arrangements made by Celebrity from hotel to pier was a disaster. Driver was late! Very late and we received no info at all. We arrived at the pier and boarded barely in time for the muster drill! Missed out on ...
We were told by a number of people that Celebrity Cruise Lines were a step above other cruises we had taken ( mainly Princess). It wasn't.
We had an inside cabin which had a large couch in it which took up so much space, we couldn't use half the closet. With limited space to start out with, this was a definite negative.
The food was less than expected and on more than one occasion, they ...
We went with 2 couples who have done this exact cruise many years in a row. We have only done 1 cruise prior to this and did not really enjoy it, however it was a Carnival down to Mexico. That cruise was a druken fest, everyone was smashed and rude. We booked this cruise thru a travel agent and felt comfortable with the price and amenities offered. We opted for the gratuities package and the drink ...
Not a good ship for sunbathers. Not enough lounge chairs and the ones they do have are packed so tightly together you have to climb onto them. People remove them to get a little space and stack them up, compounding the problem. Seams to be smokers all around the decks making people go away from the pool activity area in order to breathe freely. On this ship they took away a lot of deck space and ...
We'er local, well traveled middle aged professionals (46 & 55). This was our 5th cruise in 8 years. However honest, I wish my review was more positive.
The good stuff first:
Our stateroom was wonderful. Sizable, functional, comfy, quite and even pretty. Our stateroom attendant was excellent.
All food we ate was delicious. Regardless if it came from an included food outlet or at an ...
It wasn't all bad, just mostly. The video presentation in "Q-sine", one of the specialty restaurants, was very entertaining and clever. Food throughout the ship was good, possibly their strongest asset. Service, however, often lacked and on 3 occasions, wait times at the table between courses were extreme, ie. 45 minutes or more. False information was not corrected and resulted in extra ...
We are avid Celebrity cruisers having taken the last Six cruises on a Celebrity Ship. Unfortunately, I have experienced a real Celebrity bust on the 10-day carribean cruise on the Reflection which debarked on March 2. I was in total disbelief on the level of service in the dining rooms and bars, the lack of attention from the shore excursion desk and total non interest in providing activities ...
We booked the cruise ( Sky Suite ) about 9-10 months before sail date. I checked the price several times & it stayed the same - until we made the final payment & were in the penalty period. They reduced the price $5000 from what we paid - that's not a typo. Amenities were somewhat reduced with the lower price, but not all that much. This was not a last minute sale - it was 2 months before ...
We were scheduled to sail the Reflection with two other couples on February 19th. We had a conflict and at the last minute we switched to the January 19th cruise. Our cabin steward, Meynard was wonderful. Always accommodating and always available. When we got to our cabin I used the hand towel in the bathroom. It was thread bear. Should have been in the rag bag six months ago. The back of ...
