CELEBRITY REFLECTION DELIVERS A RELATIVELY GOOD CRUISE, LACKS CORONA PRECAUTIONS

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Celebrity Reflection

Celebrity Reflection Delivers a Relatively Good Cruise, but did not take enough precautions for Coronavirus March 2 - March 13, 2020 - This is the second time we cruised Reflection, since it was new (2012) when we spent two weeks back to back on her. Our 11 day cruise this time was better since there was not a repeat of meals and shows during the 11 days. The ship has aged well and was in good ...

Good ship, ports - not so much

We are a couple in our 60’s. We cruise once a year. We do not use the pools, fitness room, spa or bars so have no comment on these areas. (Yes, I know, what do these people do? We read, socialize and eat and eat and eat. We are boring.) Tip: Celebrity Cruises caters to an older crowd. The longer the cruise, the older the guests. I bet the average age on our 11 day cruise was 75. Fort ...

No Celebrity feelings!

I have mixed feeling about the cruise. Embarkation and Disembarkation: Good, simple and very organized Cabin: Adequate, the inside room is spacious enough for two people. Closet and drawers are enough to store our clothes. We were able to push the luggage under the bed. We had a chair, not a couch so the room seems bigger than our cabin in Holland America. Three electrical outlets are on ...

We have had a variety of cruise experiences over almost 40 years, starting with a Rhine Cruise on KD Line, family cruises on, Costa, RC, Carnival and Princess, couples cruises on Renaissance, Sea Dream, Windstar, Star Clipper, Orient Line and Oceania, and in the last 15 months cruises on Oceania, HAL, Viking and Crystal. We chose this cruise because we invited some friends who had cruised ...

We have cruised Celebrity several times and this was our first disappointment. The entertainment was boring, no comedian, no musician, limited entertainment throughout the day, shows were repetitive hence if you have been on Equinox you have seen the shows. Food was nothing to write home about, the Opus dining room was tasteless but the Buffet food for dinner was so much better. The Tuscan was a ...

We boarded the ship in record time. The Reflection has the Celebrity App. I used the Express Pass with my phone. They just take your passport ,credit card, take your picture & you get your cabin card. The cabin was great, regular veranda cabin. The attendant was great. I left my phone charger at the hotel & he let me barrow his! My husband also developed a rash from head to toe from the ...

Just completed a 21 day b2b on the Celebrity Reflection. Stayed in balcony cabin 6249. This was the first time on this ship, now having sailed all of them except the Millenium. Overall, cruise was good but not great. I see some good reviews, but having done many cruises on Celebrity and other lines, we have seen much better. We had some good times, but we do not think we shall ever do this ...

We arrived in Fort Lauderdale the night before our cruise. We stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites. It was very nice. We took a taxi to the port in the morning. About the same price as a shuttle, but quicker and easier. $25 Embarkation was smooth. We were on by about 11am. Our room was ready at 1pm and our luggage was there shortly after. The ship is nice, but the atrium areas where small ...

Chose this trip because of the itinerary, cruised with Celebrity twice before and had previously enjoyed the whole experience. There were 4 adults travelling. Spent two days in Miami beforehand. Our friends ran the half marathon and we all explored the area later. Arrived by taxi at the port, the taxi driver took our cases out of the taxi and a staff member moved the cases onto the path ...

For background, over the last 20 years or so, my wife and I have sailed on 24 cruises, 8 of them on Celebrity and the rest on both premium and luxury ships, small, medium and large. Our experience on this Reflection cruise was quite a step below our last cruise on the same ship just 18 months ago. This time, we opted for a premium suite hoping for a better or at least similar experience as our ...
