We chose this cruise because we have cruised with Celebrity a number of times and this ship twice before. We already have 2 more cruises booked on the Reflection. Of more than 35 cruises over the past 25 years, we have found Celebrity in general and Reflection in particular, to be the best. The ship is beautiful and always sparking clean. The food is excellent. We usually get a small suite and that gives us access to Luminae, the suite special restaurant with its own chef. the food is excellent and the staff at Luminae is made up of the best of the best. They are warm and inviting and constantly strive to make your experience fantastic. Our waiter this time was Jose whose menu recommendations were always spot on. The ship truly is spic and span with constant cleaning including the public rest rooms. Tours were very good. In Rome, we actually booked private tours with a company not affiliated with the ship. All around Italy (info@allarounditaly.com) with Fabrizio and Valentino. They were fantastic. In 2 days, we saw more of Rome than we ever could have in a week on our own. Drove us in a Mercedes van directly to the Vatican and Colosseum as well as many other sites and their English was excellent. The entertainment on Reflection was varied and top quality. The ship's band was excellent as well. Overall, I cannot think of enough superlatives for this ship and its crew. Read Less

We chose this cruise to celebrate our 60th birthdays and it was our first ever cruise but certainly not our last. It was a truly wonderful experience from start to finish. We sailed from Rome stopping at Messina, Sicily, Mykonos, Rhodes, Kusadasi, Santorini, Athens, Naples and finally Civitavecchia. The level of service, food, entertainment, comfort etc was exceptiional. We would particularly like to give special mention to Peter, our charming and Professional Waiter in the Opus Restaurant, assistant Waiter. Purnama and Sommelier Braganza. These gentlemen are a credit to themselves and a wonderful asset to Celebrity Cruises. Last but certainly not least We would also like to give a mention to Jose our wonderful stateroom attendant who looked after us so well. A big Thank you to all the wonderful staff Who Made our first cruise so memorable. We look forward to hopefully meeting you all again. Grazie mille a tutti. Read Less

We had dreamed of taking a cruise to Rome and the Greek Isles and this one fit everything on our wish list. We flew into Rome the day before to get a little more acclimated to the time change. We had arrange for private transfers from the hotel in Rome to the port. We would highly recommend this. Very efficient. We love our room which had a balcony. We had tapas in the room every day around 4:30. We also opted for the Premium drink package. My husband loves beer and there were not many choices with the regular package. The dinners in the dining room were nice, but we were not overly impressed with the selections. The crème Brule was incredible, lobster was outstanding the night they had that. Breakfast there was a eggs benedict bar that was excellent. Also the blueberry blintzes were to die for. Great salad bar with so many choices. We probably went to the dining room 5 nights out of the 10. The food at the buffet was very good. We chose to go there several nights. We would get back on the ship after a full day of excursions and loved cooling off at the Passport Bar on 3. The two Jamaican bartenders were so much fun and friendly. Then we'd head up to the Sunset Bar to watch us pull out of port. Sitting up there sometimes until the sun went down. Enjoying a drink or glass of wine while watching the lights twinkling from the Greek Isles we were passing by. The excursions were very good. We did the Biblical tour in Ephesus. Visited Mary's house and were able to attend Mass there at a chapel. We then went to the ruins in Ephesus. This was one of the best tours and we were totally amazed. Then went to the place St. John the Apostle is buried. Would highly recommend this one. We did Mykonos on our own which was good. Would have liked to have had more time in Oia and Fira in Santorini. Did the excursion to Lindos in Rhodes. Did not spend much time in the Old City. That would have been a day in and of itself. Athens we did the tour of the Parthenon and Acropolis and the museum. This was well worth it. In Naples we took a bus to Serrento which was amazing. Loved all the little shops. Then a tour of the Amalfi Coast. It took all day but the scenery was unbelievable. If you get motion sickness easily, please take a patch or dramamine with you. We had a couple of early morning excursions, so we ordered room service and ate on the balcony while getting dressed. We enjoyed meeting lots of people. It was just the two of us on the cruise. You had to fight for the hot tubs in the afternoon, but it was well worth it. We usually went out to the adult Solarium area. Harder to find a waiter there, but away from the noise around the main pool. We met several people who had taken this exact cruise before and came again, but did different shore excursions. All of our guides were great. Easy to understand and appreciated that we were there visiting their country and contributing to the economy. Read Less

Fantastic cruise from beginning to end! Clean ship, lovely accomodations, delicious food, great staff, fabulous ports! A wonderfully interesting and fun adventure! Spent 2 1/2 days in Rome first, then everything went smoothly from beginning to end. Easy embarkation, staff always aimed to please. Calm seas, all sunny days, very comfortable room, even the bathroom. Loved the amazing ruins and history in Rome, Athens, Ephesus and Pompeii. Definitely a "must-see" for those who like history and who like to learn. Swimming in the Aegean in Mykonos was delightful. Lunch on the sea in Chania, Crete was also lovely. Santorini was a bit rushed and didn't like that we had to take a tender in. We also didn't get to stay very long. Bodrum replaced Istanbul, due to safety. Wish I could have seen Istanbul. Nice combination of history, culture, relaxation and fun! Can't wait to go on another Celebrity cruise! Read Less

My wife, daughter and I had a wonderful time on the Reflection. The staff is so professional, yet friendly. They are smiling and want to be sure you are having an excellent experience. Several even thanked us for sailing so they had employment. This is a classy ship that caters to a more upscale crowd. We certainly received the experience we expected. I always smile when I read reviews such as the previous one that said they were bored. I can't believe that people book cruises without any investigation about the ship, the experience and cruise company. Many would be better suited on Carnival than Celebrity for what they are looking for. I find a variety of age groups on Celebrity and the Reflection and not just one age group as mentioned by another reviewer. I have yet to have a bad cruise. You are on vacation - enjoy it and be happy. Our weather was beautiful every day, which made for a pleasant stay. Our experience in Luminae was spectacular. The wait staff went out of their way to greet us and inquire about our day. Our suite was clean and made up early each day. Lots of fun each night at the Martini bar prior to dinner. The entertainment was great. Really had fun with the Beatles Legend show and the Tenors of Rock was a big hit! We were able to use the Alcoves a few days and our servers Alex and Raul made the trip. Two great guys who just wanted to be sure you were happy and enjoying yourselves. We had dinner two nights at Tuscan restaurant. Found the food to be even better than we remembered. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the pasta good and the salads very refreshing. The service was friendly and consistent. We continue to return to Celebrity as they provide exactly what we are looking for in a cruise experience. Every cruise line and ship appeals to different folks, which is great as there is something for everyone. Just be sure you do your homework to find the right one for you. We will continue to cruise with Celebrity and have a British Isles cruise booked this summer which we are very excited about. I know my experience with Celebrity and this cruise will be the experience I expect and have come to enjoy. Happy sailing to all. Read Less

I just came back from a wonderful cruise with Celebrity Reflection. Everything was excellent, from the room comfort to the food and professional and friendly crew members, especially services in the Opus Dining room. I sat always at the same table to get a closer relationship with the same table attendants and the wine advisor. Luis and his team were fabulous! Luis had an excellent team spirit and leadership. Very professional and attentive to all of us. He made very good suggestions on the best meal selection every day. You should ask for him for your next cruise. Luis and his team will add a lot of joy and pleasure to your cruise. I left Civitavecchia on July 10 and returned on the July 20th. Mostly in Greece, and three stops in Italy, one in Turkey. I suggest you taking extra days before departing or when returning from your cruise to visit Rome, which is rich in history. However, there were too many children on that trip. Better to take this cruise during the school period for those who are looking for tranquillity at night. The selection of excursions are also excellent with some exceptions. No need to reserve these excursions in advance. Other interesting options are also available when you go on shore, at the exit of each port. Read Less
