We have cruised 8 other times but this was our first Celebrity Cruise. We were very pleased with the entire cruise and will sail Celebrity again in the future. It lives up to Modern Luxury. We arrived in Rome a day early and took a private car service to the port, 200 Euros for 8 people. Contact Maurizio +39 380 7658365. The transfer was so smooth, we arranged for him to pick us back up as well ( we had planned to take the train). They dropped us off 30 feet from the embarkation site. After a 20 minute queue we were on ship and checking out the drink packages. If you have the Classic, you certainly can drink as much as you would like. We opted for the upgrade to Preferred ( 10.00 per person, per day) so we could experience drinks at the Martini bar and the Molectular bar. Most of the drinks at these bars were over the classic limit and we enjoyed them greatly. We felt the preferred package gave us a lot of additional options and was well worth the money.. Food next, the food in general was far superior to other cruise lines we have traveled with. The buffet was excellent with great variety and quality. I heard a lady say she hated the buffet breakfast because it was the same crap every day. What more she could ask for I don't know, made to order omelets, eggs, oatmeal, pasteries, fruit, meats, cereal, pancakes, French toast, waffles, and so much more. We had one breakfast in Opus and it was very nice as well. Opus (MD) dining - we selected anytime dining and advise the staff on our first night that we would like our table for 8, every night at 7, this allowed they to give us the same table and staff each night. The food here was of superior quality and if you could not find something you liked, you just were not trying. Lobster night is the second formal night and after 3 of the entrees, I had to give up. The drink package works well here as well, it provides a greater selection of wines and liquors. Speciality dining - We were told you had to book the package prior to arrival and that is incorrect. The dining staff will sell you the package on the ship as well ( important to know if you have a on board credit, as if you book prior to sailing, you will pay for that prior to getting on the boat). The 4 restaurant package was 139 per person and the 5 restaurant package was 159, this cuts the additional cost down to under 35.00 per person, per meal. I would do this again, but if you are not a "foodie" the food in Opus is excellent and you can have great meals without any additional charges. Tuscan Grill - Excellent pasta and steaks, Chocolate fondue Murano- French inspired, Top quality service, lobster prepared table side, ask to see the $4,000 bottle of wine. Lawn Club - you can help prepare here or have they do it for you, think backyard barbeque. We opted to make our own flat bread pizzas and I had the best ribeye ever, with shrimp and scallops as well, Save room for the Chocolate chip cookie with ice cream. Qusine, Best dinner ever. You select tapas size entrees from an I pad and they come out in courses, fun, quirky, excellent food and unique desserts. Porch - excellent salads, and sandwichs ( $7 additional) Bistro - crepes, salads, ($7 additional) If you are not a coffee drinker, still stop by the coffee shop on 5, the entire cake and pasty cabinet is free and they have a nice selection of cookies there as well. Indulgence - this is sold as a quirky party from 10:30 - 12:30 and they have a lot of speciality foods and drinks at the open bar, some music and other entertainment. 45.00 per person, there were only about 50 guests at the party with about 30 entertainers, so it would have been more fun with a larger crowd, we enjoyed it, however as the evening wound down, it became more a party for the entertainers. Given the price, I would skip it in the future. Overall the ship was clean and well cared for, the staff was very friendly and professional, it was a little hard to find chairs on sea days, but they did turn over pretty quick, be out early if its important for you to be somewere special. Im not a fan of main theater shows but I thought the entertainment was far above par, the singers, ventrioligst, and dancers were very entertaining. We looked forward to going after the first couple days. We selected a 7AM disembarkment, hoping to meet our driver at 8AM, however the Reflection crew was way too efficient and they released us off the ship at 7:00 exactly and after picking up our luggage, we were in the parking lot by 7:15. We would recommend this cruise highly. Read Less

Lovely extremely clean ship. We had 8:45 dinner seating for 2 . All the dinners were great! The service in the main dining room took our dining pleasure to another level. Our waiter I believe his name was Nadik and the assistant were incredible. We also purchased the 5 specialty dining package and loved the atmosphere offered as well as the food. A huge shout out to Author and Oliver who went out of their way to talk to me and make me smile! The room we had was on the Aft end of ship balcony. The room was clean, well appointed and so lovely. My cabin stewards were so kind and helpful. The entertainment at night was decent, with a show time for early and late diners. The ports of call were dream ports. What really made this cruise was the service. There is great service but this was beyond. Somehow each and every crew member took me in and made me a part of their intimate family. The crew were never intrusive or fake, yet they were always there with a kind word, some great advice,or inquiring what it was that made our trip. I have to give a huge shout out to the Captain who lead by example and created a team no other can compare to. The pleasantness of the crew was contagious. Also I always felt in competent hands. We had some severe weather on one excursion. In the emergency situation the crew took things very seriously and did everything they could to get us safely back on the boat, while offering warm dry towels to dry off and hot cocoa. I know there will never be a ship or a cruise that will compare to this one. Everyone should experience a cruise so wonderful ! Read Less

Just got back from the September 30, 2013 sailing of the Celebrity Reflection. We traveled with 2 other couples. Our 12th cruise but our first time on celebrity. It was a fantastic 11 night cruise to Italy, Greece, and Turkey. The ship still looks new. We actually celebrated the ships 1 year anniversary on our cruise. The entire staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We ate at the Tuscan Grill and Qsine. Both were excellent. Be careful though how you order though in Qsine. You can eat till you explode. They give a lot of food. Our waitress made our dining experience fantastic. We were a little disappointed though in the quality of the food in the main dining room. We would say it was between fair to good. We were surprised since we always heard how good the food was on celebrity. They served a lot of lamb. The fish tasted a little fishy and the steaks were not the best. The portions were a good size though. We had an excellent waiter and assistant waiter also. We enjoyed the aqua spa almost every day for a lighter/healthier breakfast. Only thing we did not like was being charged extra for the yogurt. We did visit the Martini Bar almost every day. 100 types of vodka. Had some good drinks. Also had good drinks at the molecular bar. I did the behind the scenes tour (cost of $150). If your interested in the navigation bridge, engine room, galley, and crew accommodations, then sign up for this. Only 16 people allowed. I signed up as soon as I got on board. Enjoyed the casino. Only played bingo once and it has gotten real expensive. Not very crowded. Past cruises it was always crowded and was held in the main theater. This was held in the smaller room. The cruise director and staff were very good. The shows were ok except for the last show which was like a cirque du soleil. It was fantastic. Had an early flight, so we kept our luggage and we were off the ship by 6:30am. In Santorini, we went out on our own. Most us us took the gondola up except for 1 friend who wanted the exercise and walked up. It took him maybe 5 extra minutes and he enjoyed the walk. Took a taxi to Oia which was no problem. Getting back was another problem. We could not hale a taxi. When they would drive by, they said they would take us back but would then pick up another fare. We finally had to take the public bus back. I would suggest that you set up with the taxi driver that takes you up there to take you back. Had a great dinner at The Sphinx restaurant which was recommended by the captain. We overlooked the cruise ship and it was an unforgettable sunset. Did our own private tour of Istanbul the first day. Had a very knowledgeable tour guide. Very historic as were most of the places we went. Ate lunch and dinner at local restaurants. The 2nd day we did the Bosphorus day cruise trough the ship since we wanted to make sure we were back for the early afternoon sailing. Did another private tour in Kusadasi. Had another great tour guide. Ephesus was unbelievable. My wife thought she would be board but she enjoyed every bit of it. Make sure you see the 7 house dwelling. Had lunch at a private farm house and it was also very good. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes. Mykonos, we did our own thing again. Took a taxi to the beach and ate lunch at a restaurant there. By eating at this restaurant they let us use the lounge chairs at the beach. Another private tour in Athens and another good driver/guide. Ate lunch at a local restaurant recommended by our tour guide. In Naples, did a tour through the ship. We wanted to see Capri, Sorrento, and Pompeii. Our friends spent time there before the cruise started, so we did not want to do a private tour for the 2 of us so we went with the ships tour. We knew it was going to be rushed this way. Spent only an hour and a half in Capri. Would like to go back though. Really liked Sorrento. The lunch that was provided was so so. Pompeii was also very interesting. Had to sit through a 5 minute presentation at a cameo making store. It was a little hard to understand the guide through the wireless headphones though. A long day with the 10 hour tour.   Read Less
