Most of our 15 (or so) cruises have been in mini-suites. Club Continent Suite on Azamara, Sky Suite on Celebrity, Concierge level on Oceania, but a full suite on Holland America and a basic verandah on Norwegian. The typical review of a suite versus a verandah cabin focuses on cabin size and perks compared to cost. In our experience and that of similar travelers that we have met, this misses the mark. If you want to know why we are mini-suite-regulars on Celebrity Reflection and others, just look at the crowds outside the main dining room before it opens, or at the coffee bar at late morning. Then compare to the relaxed environment and superb service at Michael’s Club in the hour before dinner (thank you to “singing” bartender” Cranston) and at Luminae restaurant (thank you to waiter Sony who was a perfect match for us). It’s inherently a matter of personal preference, but we like small ships, and travelling in a suite on Celebrity is like being in a small ship within a big ship. A couple of other reflections: Some bright young minds have found a way to improve the wi-fi service speed (hurray). Now they should ask the same geniuses to try synchronizing the elevators., Travelers looking for “mild” shore excursions (like a first-timers bus tour of the island) will be disappointed by the selection. 90% of excursions were “strenuous” or “moderate with cautions”. We were not really looking for a cruise to celebrate our 4oth Wedding Anniversary but when my wife received an online ad for a 12 day Greek Island cruise for under $2100C we couldn't pass it up. It was our first cruise so we had no preconceived notion on what to expect. We had input from many experienced cruisers who made us aware of all the intricacies of cruising including the ship, the cabin, the dinning facilities and shore excursions. Over all , we were very pleased with our first cruise. The staff on celebrity were amazing especially our cabin steward. If i had to give one hint for a perfect cruise, it would be make friends with your cabin steward . They can make your cruise even more enjoyable. The ports and islands we visited were amazing . We just wished we had more time in them especially Malta. Our cabin was an interior one in the bow. We need feel a bit more of the rough seas , which there was only one night of, in that location on the ship. The lack of a window was not a problem for us . We ended up dining mostly in the Oceanview Cafe, Refelction's buffet. We did try Opus , the formal dining room , but our assigned table for the cruise was at the entrance to the restaurant on the main floor near the kitchen. With a capacity of 1400 people in was a bit noisey where we were, So we decided to check the dinner menu every day and if there wasn't anything worth getting dressed up for, we ended up eating at the buffet. We ate 10 out of our 12 dinners in the Oceanview . It gave us the flexibility of food choices as well as the flexibility of eating times and you didn't have to get dressed up. The food and staff were superb. We looked forward to dinner time every night. Overall it was a very pleasant first time experience and Celebrity will be a very hard cruise line to beat. Read Less

We were on the Celebrity Reflection 10 day Italy & Greece Tour.We had a Stateroom with Balcony on the 9th Deck. We found nearly everything about the cruise to be really good. The service, from ALL staff was friendly and courteous. They all give you the impression they ENJOY doing their job. The standard of food & service in the Opus Restaurant was superb. We did not bother eating in any of the Speciality Restaurants (despite the strong sales pressures) The choice and standard of food in the Oceanview Restaurant was brilliant. We ate there everyday (apart from 1) for breakfast & lunch. Bewildering choice of eggs etc. Beware attempting just to have a salad for lunch - you are tempted with Indian, Chinese, English,American,Pizzas etc. All of good quality. Our room was spacious, clean & tidy. We had breakfast served in the room 1 day. Lovely to sit on the balcony eating scrambled eggs.... Shame about the tea being cold. We tried room service for morning tea but the water was always luke warm. Good shows, good variety of artists. Embarkation and disembarkation - well organised. Did not use Celebrity Excursions - preferred to make our own arrangements. Only 1 gripe - we loved sitting on deck watching the ship sail in/out port. Spoilt by the large number of people smoking. Would I use Celebrity again? - definitely! Read Less

My first cruise on Celebrity was a wonderful, luxurious experience. The ship was beautiful and clean. The crew was friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and plentiful. There were many activities available on the ship. I booked the Rome port transportation with Celebrity. I arrived 1 day early and stayed at the Rome airport Hilton. I had planned to walk back to the airport arrival area to catch their bus to the port but I was pleased to find out the Celebrity had a bus that left from the Rome airport Hilton. When the cruise was complete, I received luggage tags the night before arriving in Rome. The number corresponded to a time to meet and catch the return bus to the Rome airport. I especially enjoyed breakfast in the Oceanview Cafe. The staff was very cheerful and frequently greeted people. There was always a wide variety of food to choose from. Nightly entertainment was excellent. I attended shows in the Reflection Theater each night and there was a great variety of top performances. Every evening we received a handout containing the next day's activities, helpful information and tips; so we could easily plan our activities. In the morning Rich and Nacho had a helpful review of the day's activities on a television channel. There was also a channel devoted to excursions. I booked my excursions with Celebrity except for Mykonos which I explored on my own. All of the locations were beautiful but Santorini and Mykonos were my favorites. Read Less

We decided to review our cruise as we truly appreciate others doing so. Thank you all. We chose this cruise for its itinerary not realizing this S class ship would be so wonderful. Booked a VIP tour with our travel agent Alberto at Online Vacation Center that included pre night hotel in Rome, air and transfers. Made it so easy and loved having few days in Rome again. Our journey on the Reflection was made so memorable by the crew. Everyone and we mean everyone was super friendly and helpful making this one of our favorite journeys. The ship itself although large is incredibly well laid out and easy to navigate. As we were in a Concierge Cabin embarkation was just minutes. Our cabin was lovely and its balcony was a bit larger than the others. Lots of storage and the closet was great. Our steward Dominic kept everything super clean. The bathroom was the biggest surprise as it was the largest we've had. We got a good workout walking to the elevators which we didn't mind at all. One tip is to bring strong magnetic hooks as the walls are magnetic. We use to hang hats etc and super handy. Just make sure they are strong magnets. We chose anytime dining and after meeting Alexio waited until a table for 2 was available in his area. Didn't know until afterwards that we could have set up a certain time for each night of the cruise. The food was great and we saw no need to eat in any of the specialty restaurants. We made a special effort to go to the shows and most were terrific. A male vocal group from Germany was onboard and other guests were invited to their afternoon show on sea day. What a gift. They were amazing. The ports were all fabulous and by the end of the journey we were exhausted. We didn't use the ship's excursions as we prefer small tours in the ports. Safe and happy travels fellow members! Read Less

This was our 2nd cruise on Reflection (plus a previous Mediterranean cruise on Equinox) & we love the Solstice class of ships. We found Reflection to be clean & updated, & it’s hard to beat the ports of call. We were in Rome for 2 days pre-cruise, staying at a hidden gem called The Inn at the Roman Forum, minutes from the Colosseum & Forum. We highly recommend the Walks of Italy VIP Nighttime Colosseum with Underground Access if this fits into your schedule. Room: Concierge Class 1014, starboard side. We had great views of the port at nearly every stop. The room was quiet as well. Our steward Nevis was wonderful. We typically weren’t in the room around 3 when the daily appetizers were delivered, so we told him to discontinue that service. Food: we had select dining, but had made a 6:45 reservation for each evening. We enjoyed every meal in Opus....our theory is that it is better food than we’d be having at home, plus we don’t have to shop, prepare or clean up for it! Most nights we ate at Table 406 where Jose, Evan & Cajetan were wonderful & they truly worked as a team. The one night that the Opus menu didn’t call to us, we went to Qsine/Le Petite Chef where we thoroughly enjoyed the animation throughout dinner, as well as the filet mignon & lobster. We also looked forward to the daily treats from Al Bacio on 5. Oceanview was our daily breakfast stop & an occasional late lunch stop. Staff: the ship motto is “happy crew, happy cruise” & we found the staff to be so friendly. We seldom passed by a crew member that they didn’t acknowledge us with a “Good morning” or “Have a good day”. Bonus: being invited to the helipad for sail away from Santorini. Also really interesting was the galley tour on the first day at sea. Spa: just after embarkation I purchased the Persian Garden pass for $149, as we had a lot of OBC to spend. This was a daily stop for me after the hot tub. My husband made use of the sauna & large showers in the men’s changing room every day. Entertainment: we only went to the Broadway Show & silent disco one night. Between the long days ashore & the heat/humidity every day, we went to bed fairly early most nights. Cons: on our previous cruises we loved the Sunset Bar & were there daily for sail away. This is such a beautiful spot on the ship but it is ruined by the strong smell of cigar & cigarette smoke, which always drifted into the non smoking area. Celebrity needs to find a spot....away from the general population & specifically for cigar smoking. We were also charged for a drink here that we did not purchase (we had the beverage package). It took 2 trips to Guest Relations & about 36 hours to get this removed from our account. Embarkation/Debarkation: we were on board within 15 minutes of arriving at the ship. It’s always nice to be welcomed with champagne. We did walk off with our bags & were off the ship at 6:35am. Ports of Call Sicily: we did this on our own, using the HOHO bus (€10 pp). The bus arrived back to the square just at noon, as the clock was doing it’s little performance. This was our least favorite stop. However, the people we talked to that went to Taormina & Mt Etna loved it. Malta: we did a small (14) group tour with Amy Pace (Intensive Cultural Tour). We saw a lot of the island & learned the history. Our favorite stops were the Blue Grotto boat ride & Mdina. Mykonos: from the tender you can see the windmills. Great little town to explore. We ate lunch at Little Venice. Then spent an hour & a half trying to find a little shop that we had seen early in the morning, where we were going to buy a few things. Never did locate it. Rhodes: we did HOHO again (€12 pp) & then explored the walled city. Santorini: if possible, be on deck or your veranda for sail in....it is breathtaking. We were not about to climb the stairs or ride a donkey to the top, & weren’t keen on waiting in line for the cable car, so we pre-booked a small group tour called The Oia Experience with Olympic Traveller. Once off the tender, we boarded their boat to Oia, then went by small bus up to Oia. Our guide spent about 20 minutes pointing out the best spot for photos, then left us to explore on our own for about 2 hours. From there we went to a winery south of Fira, with amazing views of the caldera & our ship. We were dropped off in Fira, near the cable car about 2:45 & immediately got in line, as the line already had a few hundred people in it. But it moved faster than expected & we were back on the ship around 3:30. We did talk to a few people who saw the long cable car lines & decided to walk down the hill. Every one of them said less than halfway down they were regretting their choice, as the stairs were so slippery. Athens: another private 8 hr tour (6 of us) with Greece Tours. Our guide was excellent. After a short city tour, we went to the Acropolis which was amazing. Then to the Olympic stadium, with a long stop in the Plaka for lunch & a little shopping (our choice to stay longer here & skip Leviticus Hill & the changing of the guard), then on to the New Acropolis Museum. Naples: this was the only Celebrity Shore Excursion that we did.....a small group tour to Herculeanum. We had visited Pompeii previously & enjoyed seeing Herculeanum. But being a ship excursion, this was our most expensive ...& shortest....shore excursion. ** the ice cold towels & cold water were always a welcome sight when we’d return after a long, hot day in port. Transportation: we had booked transportation through Civitecchia Shuttle Express. Pickup from our hotel in Rome was scheduled at 9:30. At 8:45 our hotel reception received a call saying pickup wouldn’t be until 11am. I think they had overbooked, though we were just told “there was a problem at the port”. When our driver did arrive at 11, he stated “It’s not my fault” & then conveniently didn’t know any other English. From the ship to the airport, we had scheduled a 7am pick up, & our driver Claudio arrived right on time. He was very personable & explained a lot about the countryside/type of farming on our ride. We thought this was a fabulous cruise & wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. Read Less

Chose this cruise for itinerary, plus no days at sea. Ship stylish and very clean. Conceriage class balcony room, really nice at the aft of the ship 11 floor, good views of destinations on sail away. Our cabin guy Green could not do enough for us, really looked after us. Dining=well the main cafeteria dining room you could of eaten there every night and been happy, but you had Opus restuarant as well and that was a step up again! Horas our main waiter was really excellent at what he does, remembering our names, what we ate last tme we visited etc, a real credit to the ship. All trips we went on really enjoyable, but the Highlight was Sorrento and Pompii trip, long day but so enjoyable at the same time, with a trip to a farm to watch mozzeralla making, etc then a lunch on there produce etc, tour through the coastal roads. walk round Sorrento and finally Pompii, A day to remember. Mum, dad and daughter of 20, we really enjoyed it, need to book again soon Read Less

This was my first cruise and celebrity didn't disappoint. The celebrity reflection was very clean and there was plenty to do on board. The main dining room Opus offered a good selection of beautifully cooked food and there was plenty of choice for our daughter who is Coeliac and has special dietary requirements in both Opus and the ocean view cafe. Our waiter Philip was fantastic even taking time to make animals out napkins for my daughters and show us tricks every meal. In fact the whole team on Reflection were fantastic. Our room attendant Edwin was extremely helpful and helped make our stay very comfortable. There are many different bars and restaurants to choose from our favourite was the sunset bar. As well as beautiful views it's a designated smoking area, but we found it did get very busy at certain times. I would definitely recommend a drink package - we went for the classic package which included most standard beverages and some cocktails - plenty of choice. We will definitely be looking to travel with Celebrity again. Read Less

This was a sampling first time experience for us after hearing from regular cruising family and friends that we are missing out on a new experience. It’s taken nearly 30 years for my wife and I to take the plunge, (not literally). What better way to start than a 6 day trip around the Amalfi coast, stopping off at a different port every day. On board this floating hotel equipped with an array of fine dining with a choice of different eateries serving the best food catering for everyone’s needs, amazing entertainment through the day and night and not forgetting the wonderful staff who look after your every needs, there was absolutely nothing to complain about. Our cabin, although small but equipped with a balcony, was exceptionally clean and kept tidy by the wonderful Calvin. From embarkation to disembarking, there was nothing to fault about our first time experience on the seas. Would we do it again, in a blink of an eyelid. Well done Celebrity Cruises. See you again. We chose this cruise to celebrate our 50th anniversary and introduce our kids and grandkids to their Italian and Greek heritage first hand. They were all impressed with the quality of the service and food, the comfort of their stateroom, and were excited to see the sights which, until then, they had only read about or seen in movies and on TV. Our kids and our grandkids, even the younger ones, thoroughly enjoyed the Silent Disco. The younger ones found the sight of all those people "dancing" in different styles with no music playing. Our kids loved the veranda staterooms we booked for them, loved enjoy coffee in the morning on it and watching sunsets from it in the evening. The children (and the rest of us) were impressed by the size of the interior staterooms we booked for fhem. They all, especially the younger ones who were paid special attention by our waiters, were impressed by the service we received in the MDR. David and his staff made us all feel as if we were the most important VIPs on the ship. Read Less

Celebrity recommended by relative. Dates matched our holiday window. Itinerary was exactly what we wanted. The reality exceeded our best expectations. From airport to ship and return was expertly handled. Luggage taken from us at airport and appeared in our stateroom without any effort on our part!. Every moment we spent on board this luxurious floating palace was delightful. Our concierge stateroom was superb for the three adults involved, self, wife and adult daughter, with a balcony that we spent most late evenings on watching the sea below us sipping our champagne. Faciltities excellent. Valeting of room was superb. Collin was a lovely person and he kept our room immaculate. Lovely extras like fruit, canapes in the afternoon, chocolate on the pillow at turndown time. Stateroomsa at the back are really worth thinking about. Superb panoramic view of the sea and places we have just visited. Big balconies. The entertainment on board was terrific. Far more than we could ever manage to cover, but we did our best. Theatre shows were superb. Dancing in the moonlight on top deck till the wee hours was fun. So many places to eat, but we stuck to the Opus. Couldn't have been better and our waiters, Jose and Aresh, were charming, helpful and attentive. Sommelier was also great. The food was magnificent, with a huge selection that would do justice to the best of onshore establishments. We loved our time on board. Huge selection of shore excursions. We booked ours in advance, but changed one during the voyage. All were good with one exception. Athens panoramic coach tour. Guide was obsessed with taking us to shops." I know you all love shopping". Quick view of the Parthenon from gardens below then a shop that made name tags in Greek writing, then a tour of the centre and a longer visit to a shop. She also gave us all a row for being asleep. Basically we had turned off. The rest were fine.Knowledgeable guides with a sense of humour and very attentive. I have been praising the holiday since we got off the ship and will go back as soon as we get enough pennies in the savings jar again. It is an expensive holiday, but you realise why once you have experienced it. Read Less

This was return to the Reflection for us, and a first time for our friends. We had also booked Aqua Class cabins for the first time, so were excited to see if the experience lived up to everything we had been told it would be. We had travelled straight from the airport to the ship, in an independent transfer. Arrival at the port and embarkation was well organised, with no real lines and it was very very speedy. The ship is beautiful, with familiar features from the other Solstice Class ships, but with a redesigned top deck to accommodate more cabins. There were lots (600+) under 21's onboard, which given that this was a summer holidays cruise probably shouldn't have been as much of a surprise as it was, but most of the time the ship felt very quiet, especially on an evening. I have never seen the Martini bar so quiet which was great, but there were areas (The Retreat most notably) which seemed to attract big groups of teenagers, to the exclusion of other passengers. Our Aqua Class cabin was nice, but compared to a Concierge cabin wasn't really any different. The shower was fancier, but I don't know that it was really any better on the whole. It was nice to have access to the Persian Garden, which is larger on this ship than the other Solstice Class ships. One of the main attractions for people booking Aqua is Blu, the restaurant primarily for Aqua Class guests. We had been told that it was very much like a speciality restaurant. We ended up eating here twice on an evening, and booked speciality dining for the rest of our meals. Blu was lovely, the team were friendly and helpful, and the food was nice, but I have to say I was a little underwhelmed. I think this was probably due to people raving about the experience, and me expecting too much! Speciality dining was as always excellent. Lawn Club Grill was especially good, and the Mediterranean night that they held was particularly great. The other exceptional experience was Le Petit Chef. I loved Qsine, and was sad that Le Petit Chef has completely taken over on Reflection, but it is a fun night, with good food, and you have to eat here! The entertainment was probably the most disappointing aspect of the trip. With the exception of The Flyrights, every show was disappointing. The production shows were tired, apart from Euphoria, which was really good. The ports were lovely, all of them busy, but beautiful. All in all, a great cruise! Read Less

Have previously travelled with Celebrity several times. Always enjoy Celebrity cruiseline because they attract an international crowd. Chose this specific cruise for an Eastern Meditteranean experience. Everything from start to finish went smoothly. The ship including all dining areas was kept clean and tidy. This was a slightly special occasion and we had a suite class stateroom, just felt housekeeping could have been better. Dining in Luminae was very good but the menu could have been better. Table service was excellent. Normally for lunch (just a snack for us) we would choose one of the several deck restaurants/buffet, all good. Most evenings were spent at the Martini Bar on Deck 4, my favorite bar and Putu bartender was outstanding. Will be looking for another cruise with Celebrity shortly. One criticism, on board future bookings was not manned enough thus unable to make a new booking onboard. Overall 10/10, lets hope Celebrity do not lower their standard. Read Less

We picked it because of the itinerary and the ship looked like a good fit for a couple with older teens. We were very impressed with the ship, ports, and service. (this was the Italy/Greece cruise). The ship is very modern and clean. The food was great, especially Luminae. Le Petite Chef was fun too (and we also enjoyed the Tuscan Grill and the Lawn Club). I loved everything about this cruise except for the pool and entertainment. The entertainment is not good, so if that is your thing - you won't find it here. (They even need a new music director - the Sunset bar had a playlist from the 80's going all the time. I feel like even through most folks were in their 40's-50's - they should try harder to set a more current vibe with their playlists). The pool is very crowded and not much space to lay out. That being said, we loved the ship, staff, restaurants, etc. This is a GREAT ship and a very tight operation. We never felt crowded - getting on and off was easy, etc. If in doubt, spring for the suite. Very worth it! Also had a blast watching all the people from different countries cheer on their team for the World Cup. Great trip! Read Less

We choose the Med. for practical reasons, such as a relatively short flight to Rome, as well as chances of nice Summer weather. Celebrity is not cheap but nice. So I think this has value for money but cheap it is not. We arrived at the airport in Rome and was met by Celebrity staff, was guided to a buss and we were on our way on the roughly 1 hours drive to the cruise terminal. The check in and boarding took no time at all and we were on our way on board. As we came in roughly around noon our staterooms were ready at once. We love the sunset veranda staterooms for the view, and mostly quiet area. The only times you hear noise here is when we dock in the morning. Our stateroom attendant, Jaime, was great. Food, we visited MDG, Murano, Tuscan Grille, Lawn Bar Grille, and al Bachio (coffee shop) as well as most of the bars on board. Service was outstanding in all outlets. Food as well. Our servers in the Main restaurant, Morales, Russel, Carlos were fantastic, it was also nice to see Server Mario that we knew from last year. Aldo in Lawn bar Grill is also great. I have only one little question about specialty coffees, in al Bachio they are normally good, but in busy times they cheat a little and the milk is not steamed as well as it should be, and I would hope that the staff in all outlets know how to steam millk, that is not evident from what I see around. Entertainment, we like the music entertainment and that was generally good, especially the Freddy Mercury/Queen show. The itinerary: the Med is hot in July, so one needs to handle this, otherwise a great route with interesting ports: Messina (Sicily): A port that was easy to navigate through by ourselves with nice things to see. Valetta (Malta): VAlette itself is great, we have been here so we went to Mdina an old walled city, easily accessable by local bus, another great day. Mykonos: We went to a local tour to Historical Delos, do not bring small kids and only good if you are really into History. Rhodos: We went to Khalita springs, nice enough but a local beach would have done the trick much cheaper. Santorini: We got up early and went to Oia, by water taxi with return by bus to Faro. A very pleasant day and again great views and shopping. Athens: at 34degrees C we gave Athens and Acropilis itself a pass, and walked around Pireus the port city, actually a good choice. Napoli: We tried one Celebrity shore excursion in Napoli, to Pompeii and that was absolutely good. The activities offering on the ship was enough for us. Teen program, they need to be better at the meet and greet part. Spend more time make this more interesting and hopefully more teens will attend and actually get to know one another. Disembarkation and transfer were again a breeze. Read Less

We tried the new Qsine with Le Petite Chef - great entertainment and food. Celebrity continues to put itself above the rest. We will be doing our next cruises with them. Entertainment was good and we especially liked Jayne Curry and the final sea day acrobatic and singing/dancing show. The Captain was hilarious and informative at his session on navigation. Ports and itinerary were wonderful. We could not believe how quickly and well the embarkation and disembarkation went. The itinerary is very full and we found ourselves wishing for more than 2 sea days. We have room service on our balcony almost every morning and dined in dining room almost every evening. It was a surprise anniversary present to celebrate 50 years married. What a way to do it,the only way,and that's in STYLE. Totally spoiled like no other holiday. 1 the ship ,what can't you say about her and the crew. Professional, organised, polite, hygienic, happy and cheerful. Going that little bit extra just to please. 2 Security at its best. 3 Food ,well if anyone complains about 5 star meals they must be Ill. Breakfast great selection.lunch if you had room. Evening dinner in the Pegasus something else. Table 570 we hijacked it for the entire cruise. Head waiter Roberto and waitress Teresa looked after our party of 7 like family. Advising us on the menue selection, the destination for the following day, places of interests, wine for the evening. So relaxing to know your being looked after. The food and quality pluses presentation equals to at least a Michelin Star rating. 4 The cabin steward for 203 just brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. 5 The cruise itineraries can only be described as brilliant. However Malta could be sacrificed for another destination. 6 The on board facilities and entertainment were mind blowing. Something for all age groups. Finally, than you for just an amazing experience, something to remember and something to plan for the next one. Read Less

Just returned from a 10 night Italy and Greek Islands cruise on Reflection. This is a beautiful ship, filled with wonderful, attentive staff. Nothing was too much trouble for our cabin steward, Romeo, and we were looked after in the main dining room by Taniesha, whose descriptions and recommendations never failed to please, her assistant Philip and the sommelier, Manuel. The standard of the food was excellent in the main dining room, both at breakfast and dinner. We ate in the Tuscan Grille one evening, and that was simply exquisite. We also tried the Ocean View Cafe at lunch time, and the food there was also to a good standard and plentiful. Embarkation and disembarkation were quick, easy and well organised and we encountered no problems in these areas. The ports we visited were wonderful, the only one we weren't keen on was Mykonos, it was very windy and there were a few other cruise ships in at the same time and would probably have been much quieter if this had not been the case. I would not hesitate to recommend this itinerary or Celebrity Cruises. Read Less

We chose the cruise for our 20th wedding anniversary as we wanted to do something different and there were a number of places we wanted to see and this itinerary did that for us. Our children are grown up now so we travelled just the 2 of us. The cruise and shop were an absolute pleasure, all the staff, cabin and food were excellent, we didn’t have one bad experience. The cabin staff were great and made us feel very welcome and important. It was great to get details of the next port when you went back to your room at night so you could see what was in store the next day both from a port and entertainment perspective. The food was amazing, so much choice in the dining rooms but the Opus was so lovely, it made you feel special, the staff were brilliant, very attentive. The theatre was brilliant, we went most nights to the later show, after our meal. Each time we went the show was fantastic, especially the celebrity performers. The ports were lovely, clean and easy to navigate around. We went on a couple of celebrity excursions and they were great, went to exactly where we wanted to go and the balance between time on our own and with a guide was spot on. We stayed in Rome for 3 nights after the cruise as we felt it was important to see the place we embarked at and not just fly in and out! Thank you Celebrity Reflection for an amazing holiday which we will remember forever and we hope to book again soon! Read Less

This cruise was recommended by a close friend and delivered all that was promised. Most notable who made our stay amazing were: Dickson (stateroom), Fillipe (Blu), Miriam (Blu) Donovan (Sky Lounge), Guillermo (Sky Lounge) and Damien (Sky Lounge). We also thoroughly enjoyed DJ Banks and the music he provided. In addition to these, we made good use of the Canyon Ranch Spa and gym facilities, even attending a seminar and participating in a great zumba class. We must comment on the At Sea days which turned out be so chock full of activities that we didn't miss going ashore. The ports of call were all excellent and gave us ample opportunity to experience, in Celebrity Cruises words, "history, relevance and culture." The cuisine was first class where we ate at both Ocenview Cafe and the Blu specialty restaurant. The shows we saw were also wonderful and the highights were Jayne Curry's show and the aerial performances. Thank you Celebrity Cruises! Read Less

Fantastic cruise - best yet. The ship is lovely, well designed, well maintained and kept beautifully clean. The staff were excellent and can't do enough for you, and seemingly with a genuine smile. The food is too good (big weight gain!) . For speciality restaurants we purchased a three restaurant package and went to Tuscan Grille twice as it's our favorite, and Qsine which is a very novel experience along with excellent food. The menu is now quite limited at Qsine so I don't think you'd go there more than once but definitely worth a visit. It was very different to last year which was then lots of fun taster type courses. The buffet Oceanview had a really good range of food and sitting outside eating at the back of this ship is hard to beat. Main dining room (opus) excellent but we only went twice as the range offered at the buffet was so good. The ports of call were fabulous and the weather was perfect. Mykonos was probably our favorite as it's so accessible from the ship while being lovely. From Naples we went to Capri which was stunning - the ferry/hydrofoil takes about an hour but it's worth it. Santorini was beautiful but too busy with tourists and we were there on a day when there was just one other cruise ship . NB for us Brits who like to make a proper cup of tea - we were asked if we would like a kettle in our room. This was great and an improvement on room service hot drinks. Overall we absolutely loved it - a really perfect holiday. Can't wait to go again. Read Less

A Mediterranean Cruise has been a bucket list trip and this was everything we dreamed and more!!! The Refections is a beautiful ship!! My only slightly negative feed back would be the pool areas, there is just not enough space for everyone on sea days. The rooms have great storage the beds were extremely comfortable. The stops were all so different but amazing! Jeniza was our room attendant in Aqua class. She was wonderful. We had Ronald most nights in Blue the Aqua class restaurant he always went above and beyond but in truth everyone we had in Blue was wonderful. Oxana from the shore excursion desk was extremely knowledgeable on all the options of things to do on this trip and a future we trip we booked. All staff we encountered added to make this trip extra special and we can not wait for our next one. Even though the ship was sold out, it never seemed crowded. Read Less

We chose this cruise primarily for the itinerary, but also because we love Celebrity. We were on the Silhouette last year, and we knew we'd get a similar experience. The ship is what we consider the perfect size. Not massive like the Royal Caribbean ships, but big enough to have every amenity you need. The selection of speciality dining restaurants are fantastic, and the Opus Dining Room has consistently great food and service. We did find Qsine a bit of a letdown... last year it was more of a "tappas" style of sharing plates that you ordered from iPads, but now it's a live animation show that is a little cheesy without enough food selection. Entertainment was great for the most part. The cast shows are extremely well done, and most of the guest entertainers were fantastic. We did have one letdown night where we left after 2 songs (a "Country & Rock duo" whose name I forget). But the best performer of the week was a singer named Jayne Curry; she had an amazing voice and was VERY funny. The ports on this cruise were all excellent choices. Can't say anything but good things about all of them. We were parts of small group tours organized on CruiseCritic when we did tours, but a couple of places we explored on our own (including renting a car with another couple in Rhodes and driving to Lindos). Our only issue with the ship is the temperature of the fitness centre. The heat in there makes it difficult to workout. I can't understand why it doesn't have better A/C. I would highly recommend both the ship and the itinerary. Read Less

Early flight meant a taxi pick up at 2.30am arrived and printed boarding cards then had to wait an hour for the bag check in to open. That done another wait for the gate number , boarding was the usual scrum ( why does it have to be like that? ) luckily Rome is only a 2 hour flight so avoided the extras on food and drink. On arrival we were impressed with the number of celebrity staff on hand to guide us. Coach transfer was efficient and check in about 10 minutes our cabin was ready which was a bonus. After a lunch in the oceanview we rested and when our cases arrived unpacked before muster. We were on freedom dining and because the food and service was so good in the MDR we decided not to bother with the speciality restaurants. Breakfast next morning taken in MDR I made the mistake of ordering brown toast instead of whole wheat and what came was inedible. I am not going to detail every port as each person has their own preferences just a summary. Messina we walked into town and watched the midday clock tower performance. Valletta we did a tour with boat trip to blue caves, poor in my opinion. Mykinoss we took the shuttle and walked the town very pretty but it rained on us. Rhodes was my favourite place we did a tour of excavated ruins and the old town. Santorini was a very early start and lots of waiting for the tenders to commence did a tour to oia and a winery before descending on the cable car not as impressed as I thought I was going to be. Athens was good we did a trip to the Accropolis but be very careful as it is very uneven and a number of people stumbled. Naples we went to Pompeii and were lukey enough to have a very good guide which made for an interesting visit. The entertainment on board was average with Jayne Curry being the stand out performer. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the cruise an find Celebrity to provide excellent service although one niggle is having a drinks package and finding that the bars were shut in the areas where some of the activities were taking place such as quizzes and the lectures. The final night was awkward as we had prepaid our gratuities and felt we were leaving the restaurant without due reward to the staff who had given us most excellent service. Read Less
