Celebrity recommended by relative. Dates matched our holiday window. Itinerary was exactly what we wanted. The reality exceeded our best expectations. From airport to ship and return was expertly handled. Luggage taken from us at airport and appeared in our stateroom without any effort on our part!. Every moment we spent on board this luxurious floating palace was delightful. Our concierge stateroom was superb for the three adults involved, self, wife and adult daughter, with a balcony that we spent most late evenings on watching the sea below us sipping our champagne. Faciltities excellent. Valeting of room was superb. Collin was a lovely person and he kept our room immaculate. Lovely extras like fruit, canapes in the afternoon, chocolate on the pillow at turndown time. Stateroomsa at the back are really worth thinking about. Superb panoramic view of the sea and places we have just visited. Big balconies. The entertainment on board was terrific. Far more than we could ever manage to cover, but we did our best. Theatre shows were superb. Dancing in the moonlight on top deck till the wee hours was fun. So many places to eat, but we stuck to the Opus. Couldn't have been better and our waiters, Jose and Aresh, were charming, helpful and attentive. Sommelier was also great. The food was magnificent, with a huge selection that would do justice to the best of onshore establishments. We loved our time on board. Huge selection of shore excursions. We booked ours in advance, but changed one during the voyage. All were good with one exception. Athens panoramic coach tour. Guide was obsessed with taking us to shops." I know you all love shopping". Quick view of the Parthenon from gardens below then a shop that made name tags in Greek writing, then a tour of the centre and a longer visit to a shop. She also gave us all a row for being asleep. Basically we had turned off. The rest were fine.Knowledgeable guides with a sense of humour and very attentive. I have been praising the holiday since we got off the ship and will go back as soon as we get enough pennies in the savings jar again. It is an expensive holiday, but you realise why once you have experienced it. Read Less

This was return to the Reflection for us, and a first time for our friends. We had also booked Aqua Class cabins for the first time, so were excited to see if the experience lived up to everything we had been told it would be. We had travelled straight from the airport to the ship, in an independent transfer. Arrival at the port and embarkation was well organised, with no real lines and it was very very speedy. The ship is beautiful, with familiar features from the other Solstice Class ships, but with a redesigned top deck to accommodate more cabins. There were lots (600+) under 21's onboard, which given that this was a summer holidays cruise probably shouldn't have been as much of a surprise as it was, but most of the time the ship felt very quiet, especially on an evening. I have never seen the Martini bar so quiet which was great, but there were areas (The Retreat most notably) which seemed to attract big groups of teenagers, to the exclusion of other passengers. Our Aqua Class cabin was nice, but compared to a Concierge cabin wasn't really any different. The shower was fancier, but I don't know that it was really any better on the whole. It was nice to have access to the Persian Garden, which is larger on this ship than the other Solstice Class ships. One of the main attractions for people booking Aqua is Blu, the restaurant primarily for Aqua Class guests. We had been told that it was very much like a speciality restaurant. We ended up eating here twice on an evening, and booked speciality dining for the rest of our meals. Blu was lovely, the team were friendly and helpful, and the food was nice, but I have to say I was a little underwhelmed. I think this was probably due to people raving about the experience, and me expecting too much! Speciality dining was as always excellent. Lawn Club Grill was especially good, and the Mediterranean night that they held was particularly great. The other exceptional experience was Le Petit Chef. I loved Qsine, and was sad that Le Petit Chef has completely taken over on Reflection, but it is a fun night, with good food, and you have to eat here! The entertainment was probably the most disappointing aspect of the trip. With the exception of The Flyrights, every show was disappointing. The production shows were tired, apart from Euphoria, which was really good. The ports were lovely, all of them busy, but beautiful. All in all, a great cruise! Read Less

Was told good value for money how wrong ,on arrival herded into cattle shed total chaos ,herds of unsupervised children running around ship ,rip off shore exscursions ,food in fine dining well below par ,tried to squeeze every extra dollar out of you , made up charges which had to spend time to get reimbursed, entertainment seen better at holiday camps ,senior staff admonishing general staff in front of passengers these people work hard and do not deserve to be treated in this manner. The beer on board was not a good brand ,when you asked for gin and tonic you would get gin and soda this happened daily .The upper deck it was impossible to access a sun lounger so had to go down to smokers deck to sun bath on deck five .For the amount of money this cruise cost l felt it was a rip off ,maybe my expectations were to high ,but this has made me think twice before cruising again . We chose this ship mainly for the itinerary, and we had heard celebrity cruises was one of the best. This was our third cruise and to be honest the worst entertainment out of them all. There was only one band playing everywhere who had a weak singer, and a solo acoustic singer who was a bit depressing! The shows were done by their own team, average. No sail away party or announcements at all. The food was good if you upgraded, you was hounded for the first few days to pay for them like double glazing salesmen! In peak times the queue at the bars was long, you could wait 20mins regularly. We had a balcony cabin, pretty much as same as we had had before. On sea days there was a severe lack of sunbeds, you had to get on one by 8am and if you left it for 30mins it was taken away from you and given to someone who had just got up. We had to have breakfast and lunch one at a time on these days to keep the sunbeds. Surely the cruise line can stretch to a few more beds to solve this issue?? The staff were all happy and worked hard, the buffet restaurant had a great choice and the ship was very nice. Read Less

Have previously travelled with Celebrity several times. Always enjoy Celebrity cruiseline because they attract an international crowd. Chose this specific cruise for an Eastern Meditteranean experience. Everything from start to finish went smoothly. The ship including all dining areas was kept clean and tidy. This was a slightly special occasion and we had a suite class stateroom, just felt housekeeping could have been better. Dining in Luminae was very good but the menu could have been better. Table service was excellent. Normally for lunch (just a snack for us) we would choose one of the several deck restaurants/buffet, all good. Most evenings were spent at the Martini Bar on Deck 4, my favorite bar and Putu bartender was outstanding. Will be looking for another cruise with Celebrity shortly. One criticism, on board future bookings was not manned enough thus unable to make a new booking onboard. Overall 10/10, lets hope Celebrity do not lower their standard. Read Less

We picked it because of the itinerary and the ship looked like a good fit for a couple with older teens. We were very impressed with the ship, ports, and service. (this was the Italy/Greece cruise). The ship is very modern and clean. The food was great, especially Luminae. Le Petite Chef was fun too (and we also enjoyed the Tuscan Grill and the Lawn Club). I loved everything about this cruise except for the pool and entertainment. The entertainment is not good, so if that is your thing - you won't find it here. (They even need a new music director - the Sunset bar had a playlist from the 80's going all the time. I feel like even through most folks were in their 40's-50's - they should try harder to set a more current vibe with their playlists). The pool is very crowded and not much space to lay out. That being said, we loved the ship, staff, restaurants, etc. This is a GREAT ship and a very tight operation. We never felt crowded - getting on and off was easy, etc. If in doubt, spring for the suite. Very worth it! Also had a blast watching all the people from different countries cheer on their team for the World Cup. Great trip! Read Less

We choose the Med. for practical reasons, such as a relatively short flight to Rome, as well as chances of nice Summer weather. Celebrity is not cheap but nice. So I think this has value for money but cheap it is not. We arrived at the airport in Rome and was met by Celebrity staff, was guided to a buss and we were on our way on the roughly 1 hours drive to the cruise terminal. The check in and boarding took no time at all and we were on our way on board. As we came in roughly around noon our staterooms were ready at once. We love the sunset veranda staterooms for the view, and mostly quiet area. The only times you hear noise here is when we dock in the morning. Our stateroom attendant, Jaime, was great. Food, we visited MDG, Murano, Tuscan Grille, Lawn Bar Grille, and al Bachio (coffee shop) as well as most of the bars on board. Service was outstanding in all outlets. Food as well. Our servers in the Main restaurant, Morales, Russel, Carlos were fantastic, it was also nice to see Server Mario that we knew from last year. Aldo in Lawn bar Grill is also great. I have only one little question about specialty coffees, in al Bachio they are normally good, but in busy times they cheat a little and the milk is not steamed as well as it should be, and I would hope that the staff in all outlets know how to steam millk, that is not evident from what I see around. Entertainment, we like the music entertainment and that was generally good, especially the Freddy Mercury/Queen show. The itinerary: the Med is hot in July, so one needs to handle this, otherwise a great route with interesting ports: Messina (Sicily): A port that was easy to navigate through by ourselves with nice things to see. Valetta (Malta): VAlette itself is great, we have been here so we went to Mdina an old walled city, easily accessable by local bus, another great day. Mykonos: We went to a local tour to Historical Delos, do not bring small kids and only good if you are really into History. Rhodos: We went to Khalita springs, nice enough but a local beach would have done the trick much cheaper. Santorini: We got up early and went to Oia, by water taxi with return by bus to Faro. A very pleasant day and again great views and shopping. Athens: at 34degrees C we gave Athens and Acropilis itself a pass, and walked around Pireus the port city, actually a good choice. Napoli: We tried one Celebrity shore excursion in Napoli, to Pompeii and that was absolutely good. The activities offering on the ship was enough for us. Teen program, they need to be better at the meet and greet part. Spend more time make this more interesting and hopefully more teens will attend and actually get to know one another. Disembarkation and transfer were again a breeze. Read Less

Celebrity Reflection, June 29th to July 09th 2018. We choose this cruise because it included Santorini and Athens the two places that this cruise included but we had not visited previously. The ship was full and included a rather larger number of children than normal. The children being children were loud, boisterous and played around in the lifts. Security guards were noted by their absence. The children also ran around some of the passageways we were informed by other guests. Unfortunately there were also a number of issues with the toilets, in that you could not flush your cabin toilet which was rather more than an inconvenience (excuse the pun). This happened over a number of days. Officers were also noted by their absence unlike previous cruises were they were quite visible. Problems with neighbouring guests slamming their cabin door was also an irritation especially around 5am. On a much brighter note the crew were as charming, efficient, courteous and friendly as ever, with some instantly recognising us from earlier cruises. Cocktail Bar: Muni, Komang Adrian and Iwayan Restaurant BLU: Paul, Jorge, Krasimir, Mirian, Ronald and Whale Mast Bar: The ever lively and friendly Bagus along with Ketut Ocean View Cafe: Leighton Our dear friend Nyoman and last but by no means least our stateroom attendant Marites. I should also mention our first captain who was very witty. Read Less

It was our twenty fifth wedding anniversary and our first cruise so I had some misgivings about it ! I did not need to worry as the staff were fabulous, the food was amazing, our room was gorgeous and Maynard who looked after us was fantastic! Everything was well organised and it was great that security and safety were taken very seriously so we had no issues about leaving the ship or returning to it as we knew exactly what to do! We met some lovely new friends although we did not feel pressured to eat with anyone if we wanted to be on our own. We booked a number of gourmet restaurants but the food in the restaurants on board was delicious! We had great fun in the Qsine restaurant it was so much fun a real experience. We chose this cruise as we have always wanted to visit the Greek islands and this did not disappoint. It's only our 2nd Celebrity cruise and we enjoyed out trip very much . The crew were all very attentive and responsive to any requests we had and the quality of food was very high with great selections in the restaurants we used. We did not use any of the speciality restauarants as we felt we were more that adequately catered for in the regular dining areas. The evening entertainment was of a very high standard and good variety, and am sure there is something for everyone. The only down side we experienced was trying to use the swimming pool . Due to the high number of children on board I am afraid to say it was difficult to access the swimming pool. The solarium was also very busy due to this knock on effect and unless you are up at crack of dawn you are unlikely to secure one of the beds around the pool in there. Reserving beds is a practice I think you should be reviewing and discouraging strongly.. Read Less

Celebrity is our cruise line of choice and second time on Reflection. Wonderful cruise and ship. Dining and service, as usual, was wonderful. We tried the new Qsine with Le Petite Chef - great entertainment and food. Celebrity continues to put itself above the rest. We will be doing our next cruises with them. Entertainment was good and we especially liked Jayne Curry and the final sea day acrobatic and singing/dancing show. The Captain was hilarious and informative at his session on navigation. Ports and itinerary were wonderful. We could not believe how quickly and well the embarkation and disembarkation went. The itinerary is very full and we found ourselves wishing for more than 2 sea days. We have room service on our balcony almost every morning and dined in dining room almost every evening. Food choices and meals were great. We did not use the pool much on this cruise because our time in port was so active that we were dead tired each port day. Read Less

It was a surprise anniversary present to celebrate 50 years married. What a way to do it,the only way,and that's in STYLE. Totally spoiled like no other holiday. 1 the ship ,what can't you say about her and the crew. Professional, organised, polite, hygienic, happy and cheerful. Going that little bit extra just to please. 2 Security at its best. 3 Food ,well if anyone complains about 5 star meals they must be Ill. Breakfast great selection.lunch if you had room. Evening dinner in the Pegasus something else. Table 570 we hijacked it for the entire cruise. Head waiter Roberto and waitress Teresa looked after our party of 7 like family. Advising us on the menue selection, the destination for the following day, places of interests, wine for the evening. So relaxing to know your being looked after. The food and quality pluses presentation equals to at least a Michelin Star rating. 4 The cabin steward for 203 just brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. 5 The cruise itineraries can only be described as brilliant. However Malta could be sacrificed for another destination. 6 The on board facilities and entertainment were mind blowing. Something for all age groups. Finally, than you for just an amazing experience, something to remember and something to plan for the next one. Read Less

Just returned from a 10 night Italy and Greek Islands cruise on Reflection. This is a beautiful ship, filled with wonderful, attentive staff. Nothing was too much trouble for our cabin steward, Romeo, and we were looked after in the main dining room by Taniesha, whose descriptions and recommendations never failed to please, her assistant Philip and the sommelier, Manuel. The standard of the food was excellent in the main dining room, both at breakfast and dinner. We ate in the Tuscan Grille one evening, and that was simply exquisite. We also tried the Ocean View Cafe at lunch time, and the food there was also to a good standard and plentiful. Embarkation and disembarkation were quick, easy and well organised and we encountered no problems in these areas. The ports we visited were wonderful, the only one we weren't keen on was Mykonos, it was very windy and there were a few other cruise ships in at the same time and would probably have been much quieter if this had not been the case. I would not hesitate to recommend this itinerary or Celebrity Cruises. Read Less

We chose the cruise for our 20th wedding anniversary as we wanted to do something different and there were a number of places we wanted to see and this itinerary did that for us. Our children are grown up now so we travelled just the 2 of us. The cruise and shop were an absolute pleasure, all the staff, cabin and food were excellent, we didn’t have one bad experience. The cabin staff were great and made us feel very welcome and important. It was great to get details of the next port when you went back to your room at night so you could see what was in store the next day both from a port and entertainment perspective. The food was amazing, so much choice in the dining rooms but the Opus was so lovely, it made you feel special, the staff were brilliant, very attentive. The theatre was brilliant, we went most nights to the later show, after our meal. Each time we went the show was fantastic, especially the celebrity performers. The ports were lovely, clean and easy to navigate around. We went on a couple of celebrity excursions and they were great, went to exactly where we wanted to go and the balance between time on our own and with a guide was spot on. We stayed in Rome for 3 nights after the cruise as we felt it was important to see the place we embarked at and not just fly in and out! Thank you Celebrity Reflection for an amazing holiday which we will remember forever and we hope to book again soon! Read Less

Most notable who made our stay amazing were: Dickson (stateroom), Fillipe (Blu), Miriam (Blu) Donovan (Sky Lounge), Guillermo (Sky Lounge) and Damien (Sky Lounge). We also thoroughly enjoyed DJ Banks and the music he provided. In addition to these, we made good use of the Canyon Ranch Spa and gym facilities, even attending a seminar and participating in a great zumba class. We must comment on the At Sea days which turned out be so chock full of activities that we didn't miss going ashore. The ports of call were all excellent and gave us ample opportunity to experience, in Celebrity Cruises words, "history, relevance and culture." The cuisine was first class where we ate at both Ocenview Cafe and the Blu specialty restaurant. The shows we saw were also wonderful and the highights were Jayne Curry's show and the aerial performances. Thank you Celebrity Cruises! Read Less

Fantastic cruise - best yet. The ship is lovely, well designed, well maintained and kept beautifully clean. The staff were excellent and can't do enough for you, and seemingly with a genuine smile. The food is too good (big weight gain!) . For speciality restaurants we purchased a three restaurant package and went to Tuscan Grille twice as it's our favorite, and Qsine which is a very novel experience along with excellent food. The menu is now quite limited at Qsine so I don't think you'd go there more than once but definitely worth a visit. It was very different to last year which was then lots of fun taster type courses. The buffet Oceanview had a really good range of food and sitting outside eating at the back of this ship is hard to beat. Main dining room (opus) excellent but we only went twice as the range offered at the buffet was so good. The ports of call were fabulous and the weather was perfect. Mykonos was probably our favorite as it's so accessible from the ship while being lovely. From Naples we went to Capri which was stunning - the ferry/hydrofoil takes about an hour but it's worth it. Santorini was beautiful but too busy with tourists and we were there on a day when there was just one other cruise ship . NB for us Brits who like to make a proper cup of tea - we were asked if we would like a kettle in our room. This was great and an improvement on room service hot drinks. Overall we absolutely loved it - a really perfect holiday. Can't wait to go again. Read Less

We loved this cruise. Each port was unique and the schedule allowed adequate time to explore. Having 2 sea days allowed us to be ready for them. The Guest Relations staff (especially Raphael and Vedrana) were fantastic in helping learn how to recover my cell phone in the Rome airport at the beginning of our cruise. Someone that works at FCO found it and turned it into Lost and Found. My business card was in a holder on the back. They tracked me down through one of my Facebook friends. The Staff helped me verify that FCO Lost and Found really did have it and how to go about retrieving it. Wow! Romeo, our room attendant, always made sure our stateroom was in great order and spotless. Allan, our Sommelier, always suggested the proper wine for our food. We did the Classic Beverage package as one of our perks and it was well worth it. Our other perk we picked was the WiFi. A great value but sometimes it was slow. (Guess there were a lot of people on it at that time.) Cafe al Bacio is our favorite place to hang out. Love their coffees and teas plus tasty pastries. Yum!!! We did Concierge level. The bonus is the expanded Breakfast Room Service (use the card left in your room.) They bring snacks in the afternoon but since we are Elite and go to the Captain Club event each night, it is unnecessary. We love Celebrity (our 8th cruise with them) and plan on more.. Read Less

My only slightly negative feed back would be the pool areas, there is just not enough space for everyone on sea days. The rooms have great storage the beds were extremely comfortable. The stops were all so different but amazing! Jeniza was our room attendant in Aqua class. She was wonderful. We had Ronald most nights in Blue the Aqua class restaurant he always went above and beyond but in truth everyone we had in Blue was wonderful. Oxana from the shore excursion desk was extremely knowledgeable on all the options of things to do on this trip and a future we trip we booked. We chose this cruise because it was an area we had never been to before and we were quite happy with the Celebrity line as we have cruised with them twice before. The June itinerary was perfect for us, just getting into the hot season in many ports and still not too many young kids who were still in school. So far every cruise I have been on with Celebrity has amazed me about their customer service. Their crews are top notch and without criticism. Most crew seemed happy and always had a smile and greeting for you. They could not do enough! Ikadek was our cabin steward. I swear these stewards hide around the corner to lean up you rooms as soon as you step out. He was wonderful. Even left us a nice surprise for a celebration evening. Embarkation was quite quick and so was disembarkation on the last day. We chose to self-disembark on the last date as we had booked private transfer to the airport. Seemless. Excursion prices are getting steep with Celebrity so we booked most of our excursions through private tour companies at substantial savings and seemingly better things to see and do. Santorini was tendered obviously but very efficiently done. The Island itself is just crowded and the cable car return was very crowded having to wait one hour in a long snaking line but I guess we could have competed with the donkeys on our own and walked down. Our choice so I can really complain too much. The scheduled docking a departure times were always early. Everyone got back on board pretty promptly so no delays there and we were always early to every port. We chose the Classic Beverage package for this cruise. In the past, it covered the basic drinks and coffees, but this time we seemed to get dinged for a dollar every time now you ordered a coffee with alcohol in it. That had not happened in the past. But staff were pleasant about it and quite clearly let you know if there was an additional charge. Good thing we had an onboard credit that we unsuccessfully tried to use up!! Entertainment was very good but not as many full cast shows as we had in the past. A larger variety so we chose to skip a couple. The first night of Silent Disco was fun with a good variety of music for all ages but the second night must have been for the younger set as it was all electronic and dance club that I did not recognize at all. Maybe showing my age?? I think the design of the Grand Foyer is nice but not as a venue to dance. The large "rose" flower statue just takes up floor space - move it out of there. The grand stairway should have been moved farther back to the aft wall to make a larger dance floor space since so many activities and musical acts performed there. [I guess I am a nautical ship designer now?!?!] I feel the Lawn Club is a waste of space for relaxing. Very rarely was anyone on the grass or in the large cabanas there. The Sunset Bar is taken up by smokers on one whole side. And they need to turn down the music on the speakers a lot. Could not hear a conversation with someone sitting directly beside me Some concerns about this cruise are as follows: 1] We are non-smokers and had booked a balcony stateroom but unfortunately were not informed that we were on the port aft side directly above the smoking area. So we may as well have lived among the smokers. This information should be made available to guests. I understand the need for smokers to get their fix but not at my expense. It physically makes me ill. The smokers were to be outside on the Deck Five area and to the aft side of the doorway. They were never moved away from directly in front of the doors and therefore directly under the staterooms above [6235, 6233, 6231, 6229, and 6227]. And we were informed that the port side is good for viewing docking and departures. Wrong this time, Everything happened on the starboard side this cruise. 2] Opus Restaurant menu is tired. We ate more off the classic side than the specials of the night. Being the 3rd cruise, we found the menu was becoming the same as previous cruises. We actually preferred to eat in the Oceanview Cafe a few nights for better variety. But I must state the wait staff [Vlada, Jomar, Juan and Carlos were absolutely the best. Great fun and attentive service made the meals quite fun. They even made a point of celebrating people's anniversaries with song, cake and champagne. 3] Officer Rank Insignia should be posted somewhere. You see so many officer staf walking around the ship but have no idea what their function or rank might be. In fact one day I saw the Captain sitting with some other staff and did not realize who he was until I saw him at the Liar's Night show. Maybe as part of the television shows and ship information, they should tell you what their arm stripes mean. I did ask a few but you are reluctant to so so. Lots of security though, felt very safe on board. 4] External stateroom noise. It may seem trivial but when you can hear certain "activities" in the stateroom above you [love is grand - and prolonged!!!], at all hours of the night - from midnight through until 2:00 am, 4:00 am, etc, I does disturb the sleep of others to be wakened in the night and be disturbed by the noisy antics and rhythmic thumping. At first I thought possibly it was actual ship noises but eventually you heard the whole show to confirm what it was you were hearing.... 5] Ship Enrichment. Would like to see more activities and tours provided to other areas like bridge, kitchens, and "off-limit" areas that could be made accessible on sea days. 6] Check your onboard account!! Frequently!! I checked mine daily on the TV channels and found someone had used my room number to book dinner and drinks in one of the specialty restaurants. I was able to have it corrected but was told by Guest services that the person obviously did not have their Se Pass card swiped, strictly through word of mouth to let this happen. We also found once we got home that there are are additional charges on our account that we will need to call about to get cleared off. This is the first time it has occurred but companions travelling with us had it happen to them as well. It seems I am a little negative, but far from it. I really enjoyed this ship and the cruise port selections and if given the chance, will return to a few of these island in future. I like the Celebrity cruise offerings [Caribbean, Alaska and Mediterranean] but might take a recommendation from family and friends and try some other lines just to see if Celebrity really does have the system down as properly as they seem to have it now. We chose this cruise firstly because it was where we wanted to travel to, then we found a ship that was going to those places. The ship was the right size and had the qualities to provide the conditions we wanted - not too small nor too big, good conditions onboard. The ship was kept very clean, was well maintained and of a size that there was always somewhere to find a private spot. It was a bit hard to find a deck chair by the pool unless you were out early - there was both an outdoor pool for everyone and an indoor solarium for adults only. I would say this ship catered best for adults - there was a children's program but not a lot of other outside activities for them to do.The staff were well trained and very pleasant - our room attendant couldn't do enough for us. They work around when you are out of your room - they seemed to know your routine and your room was made up for your return. We found the ships tours to be quite expensive but convenient and well programmed. The main disadvantage was large bus groups and endless waiting for people, and also that there weren't enough stops for photo opportunities. On board pricing was quite expensive - especially the drinks and dining packages. We drink very little in the way of alcohol but bought the premium non-alcohol package for both cruises. It worked out to be more convenient - especially when going ashore for your day tours it was easy to take a bottle of water or Vitamin water with you, and then to have a nice coffee when you came back in. The food overall was of very good quality. We found the Ocean view dining room very good. Our main observation was the food groupings - the chopped up fruit was right across the dining hall from the breakfast cereals, and soup spoons were often the only spoons available. Also teaspoons were not bought with your coffee for the sugar. Q'sine was fun with very good food - the best on the trip. Read Less

We chose this company as we hoped to get everything at level 5*. But unfortunately, our hopes were not realized. In the future, we are unlikely to choose a cruise with this company. Pros: the ship is new, beautiful, and comfortable. The cabins are spacious. Staff is well prepared. Cleaning of cabins and service in the main dining room at the proper level. Odds: It takes a lot of time to wait for elevators; the choice of dishes in the main dining room is quite poor. The Cruise director's work corresponds to the ship level 2*, but not 5*. There was our 9th cruise and worse entertainment than here anywhere else was. Poorly organized transfers. The first time we faced the fact that all transfers have to be paid. The excursion to the Florence with the boat was organized badly. It does not correspond to the description in the brochure. Read Less

Pros: Great ship, comfortable rooms, very friendly and acccomodating staff. Celebrity does a tremendous job of keeping all areas of the ship clean at all times. Food was quite good in the main dining as well as the buffet. We enjoyed almost all aspects of the onboard experiences. Cons: As is a struggle with most larger capacity ships, they are understaffed at the popular bars during the busy cocktail hours and while people are waiting to be called for their dinner seating. Some flex help would be appreciated. The major problem we and others had was with the on shore excursions. They seemed to have changed their approach from the last Celebrity cruise we were on in the Baltic. Their tour group size is now a completely full bus of about 50 people. This makes for some very uncomfortable and even useless touring. Imagine what happens when the guide doesn't provide headphone systems. Taking a reasonable walk of 8-10 blocks and up slight hills for a group of 50 seniors, results in people being stretched out over 2-3 blocks. So those that were able to keep up are left waiting for 5 +/- minutes while the guide gathers the flock. This sort of thing happened on every tour. Worse than this, when the guide takes you to a museum, less than half of the guests are able to even be in the same room as the guide. So he/she is describing things that are not visible to half of the group. Then, as she moves on to the next room, that left out group is able to peak into the rom they left and try to figure out what she was talking about. And so it goes throughout the remainder of that and other museums. On one occasion, we were not given headphones so the guide was actually yelling every description while competing with her own echo and the echoes of other tourists in the same facility. Think 100% hard surfaces, many tourists and a yelling guide in the room that you can't get into. Miserable!! After 2 consecutive tours like this that totally wasted our money and were a drudgery to live through, we only took "on your own" shuttles. Going forward, we'll be booking private tours as they are quite a bit cheaper and way more enjoyable, hands down. We brought this to the attention of the excursion desk and to our Concierge. They "appreciated the comments" but not enough to even attempt to make restitution of any type. Unfortunately, this process should be an enjoyable experience. I mean this is one of the main reasons for cruising. Sad that Celebrity appears to have chosen to capture revenues at the expense of an enjoyable experience. Finally, I would have preffered to post this on the Celebrity site but was unable to as their review option expires 7 days after disembarking and we were still traveling in Rome. Seems like a rather short time period to respond. But then, maybe preventing reviews is what they prefer. Read Less

Overall, this was probably the best cruise we have taken between Celebrity and Royal Caribbean. There was lots to see and do and the excursions we took were all very good. The ship was very clean and well maintained. We slept well every night and were able to truly relax. Some thoughts on specifics . . . Aqua Class We couldn’t find any real value for this upgrade this trip. The Blu Restaurant was the only perk offered. We didn’t have access to Michael’s Lounge, which was unfortunate. The Blu Restaurant was never open early enough for breakfast on days when we had an excursion planned. The dinner menu choices in Blu were almost never as good as the choices in the Opus General Dining Room. We don’t think we would pay for this upgrade again. Premium Drink Package We have been disappointed with the Celebrity drink packages on every cruise we have taken. This time, the only benefit we got from the Premium Package was for wine selections in Blu and Opus. And, the only “premium” wines offered were Mer Soleil Chardonnay and Decoy Cabernet, every single night. No other options to try. And, none of the other bars on the ship offered a premium wine option. Really disappointing for anyone who knows and enjoys wine. Access to Michael’s Lounge would have helped a great deal. Excursions The excursions were really well planned and executed this trip . . . kudos to the organizer(s)!! We spent very little time waiting for our bus number to be called sitting in the Reflection Theater this time. Massage As with every other massage I have had at Canyon Ranch, I tell them where I would like them to spend time and energy (my neck), and they go about doing whatever it is they always do. They spend very little time and zero energy really trying to work through neck pain. Stop asking me if you aren’t going to do anything different. Room Attendant Our room attendant, pronounced E-mah-day, was exceptionally attentive and eager to please us. Whatever he is getting paid, it isn’t enough. He is great and should be treasured!! Opus Dining Room Our server at Table 32, Brian, and our sommelier, Marvin, were both fabulous professionals. We looked forward to joining them about half the evenings on the ship and enjoyed their service to be much more attentive and fun than what we found in Blu. Buffet For what it is, I think the chefs in the buffet do a great job! My only suggestion would be to start serving pastries, fruit and continental items (eggs, sausage and potatoes) earlier than 6:30 am for guests who are planning to take an early excursion and need to eat something (anything) before they leave the ship. Private Pilates Class OJ was very good and we enjoyed his class very much. My only caution to Celebrity would be . . . I’m not sure this class should be advertised as a “Private Pilates” class, because it really is a very general core strength and stretching class. There were no true Pilates elements included in the class. When guests are paying $100 per hour for Pilates, they should get Pilates. Gifts from Friends Since this was my retirement cruise, we received flowers from two of our friends. One arrangement arrived with no card, so we had to put a photo up on Facebook to figure out who sent it to us (not good). When we returned home, the same friends asked if we had also received a bottle of Dom Perignon champagne and a dinner in a specialty restaurant on the evening of our choice. No, we didn't. My husband saw a bottle of Dom Perignon in our refrigerator, but just assumed it was part of the bar. I would think a gift of Dom Perignon would be left on the coffee table in a bucket of ice and with a card. Not well executed and our friends are now trying to work through getting credits from Celebrity. Formal Nights We very much enjoyed the formal "at sea" nights on Celebrity. They have discontinued them and now call the at sea nights "chic". We saw all kinds of attire on the "chic" nights and were quite disappointed. We have booked an Azamara cruise for 2020 in hopes they will have formal nights and a much better premium wine selection. Read Less

We chose this cruise primarily for the itinerary, but also because we love Celebrity. We were on the Silhouette last year, and we knew we'd get a similar experience. The ship is what we consider the perfect size. Not massive like the Royal Caribbean ships, but big enough to have every amenity you need. The selection of speciality dining restaurants are fantastic, and the Opus Dining Room has consistently great food and service. We did find Qsine a bit of a letdown... last year it was more of a "tappas" style of sharing plates that you ordered from iPads, but now it's a live animation show that is a little cheesy without enough food selection. Entertainment was great for the most part. The cast shows are extremely well done, and most of the guest entertainers were fantastic. We did have one letdown night where we left after 2 songs (a "Country & Rock duo" whose name I forget). But the best performer of the week was a singer named Jayne Curry; she had an amazing voice and was VERY funny. The ports on this cruise were all excellent choices. Can't say anything but good things about all of them. We were parts of small group tours organized on CruiseCritic when we did tours, but a couple of places we explored on our own (including renting a car with another couple in Rhodes and driving to Lindos). Our only issue with the ship is the temperature of the fitness centre. The heat in there makes it difficult to workout. I can't understand why it doesn't have better A/C. I would highly recommend both the ship and the itinerary. Read Less

My husband and I have been wanting to do a Mediterranean cruise for many years, but just kept putting in off, due to the dreaded long flight from U.S. to Rome. OMG, this cruise was amazing. We arrived one day prior in Rome, so much to see and do, please plan at least three full days for Rome. The port is about 90 miles from Rome. So, plan ahead on travel time. Our private taxi dropped us off at the port. It was a terrible mess, long lines, no signs for Celebrity, all passengers were crammed in buses taking you to various ships at port. It was awful. Celebrity, where was your signage or staff? I think it was a terrible port arrangement. After a rather long bus ride, we finally got dropped off to the Celebrity check in. It was fast and efficient. We got on board about 1:30. We had lunch at the buffet and even our room was ready. We ate each evening in the main dining room. The service was wonderful. Food was average. (We are foodies!) Presentation was top notch. We attended each evening (Celebrity Showtime) the prime entertainment at the main theatre. I thought they did a great job. They had something different each evening. Very entertaining. We have sailed with various cruise lines, but Celebrity is our favorite. The service, attitude, shows, and mature passengers, makes this our favorite cruise line. All the ports were amazing. Athens was the least favorite, too big and modern. I fell in love with Santorini and Mykonos. Beautiful, like a postcard! Read Less
