The suite was all the way aft. Our veranda gave us a nice view of the ship's wake and it sheltered us from some of the strong winds we experienced on this cruise. Ocassionally, we would get a little soot on the veranda from the ship's smoke stacks, but it wasn't a significant issue.
To our surpise, we had a 6-8 inch diameter steel pole right in the middle of our room between the end of the bed and the dresser. Caution had to be taken when getting up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom to avoid an unpleasant collision. That said, it didn't annoy excessively.
Being fully aft in the ship meant we had to walk the length of a football field to the nearest elevators or stairwells. Since, we like to stay fit and always use the stairs on ships to walk off the extra food we are eating, the long walk to the stairs was no issue. For others, who may have difficulty walking, beware of how big the ship is and get a room close to the elevators.
The room was kept very clean and was well appointed. It was pretty quiet too. When the sliding glass door was open, the water churning behind the ship sounded like we were near a waterfall.
