Excellent location on the 'hump' and with no overhang on the balcony from the deck so enjoyed a good deal of sun, unlike many of the other sky suites in which we have traveled previously. The bathroom is not huge but does benefit from a 'super' shower with aqua jets and jacuzzi bath - I believe the cabins in this location used to be Aqua Class ones. More than ample wardrobe and drawer space and we could have brought double to amount of clothing and still had room to spare. Extremely quiet location and apart from the occasional footstep we hear nothing. No noise from the lifts either which are screened by a wall between them and hump cabins. Our Butler and cabin steward were attentive without being intrusive and kept our suite clean and well stocked with daily fruit and water and anything else we specifically requested. We would happily have the same location again and can recommend it over the sky suites at both front and back of the ship. Read Less

The sky suites are the size of 1 1/2 normal cabins. Décor is elegantly subdued. Very comfortable bed, separate sofa, chair and deck furniture includes 2 wicker chairs with foot stools and a round teak table - plenty of room. The bathroom includes a regular tub with shower and jets, toilet and single sink. There are 2 medicine cabinets and a couple of draws in the bath - we found them to be plenty big enough to hold all of our toiletries, prescriptions, brushes, etc. For storage, there were 2 large closets with many hangers. There were 8 large drawers, 2 smaller drawers and 1 shallow, wide desk drawer and storage shelves. There was plenty of room to store clothing for 2 people for an 11 day cruise with room left over. Very satisfied with the cabin. Read Less

This was a spur of the moment booking and no more aft S1s were available. Everything in the suite is in great shape although it was missing an easy chair as is found on millennium ships. My other solstice travels have been in CS so not sure if that's something true of all SSs on the larger vessels. The balcony is a bit larger because of the angle, but the wind/noise from being so far forward combined with the overhang to make it not especially pleasant. Because I'm a dedicated balcony user this is enough of a problem to make me unlikely to book the room again. On the evening that the Cruise Director had booked the silent disco for the solarium, there was substantial and intrusive noise in the cabin;otherwise we didn't hear anything. This cabin is just two doors away from the Fitness Center. As such, it would be the perfect room for 3 or 4 to share-- the rarely used and super clean locker rooms providing a second shower/toilet space. Read Less

Loved the cabin, tons of storage space, too much for us. But that’s good. The Balcony was just amazing, we loved the extra space in the balcony, the full size table and the extra shadow provided in this deck. The bathroom was a big plus loved the storage space, the bathtub and the shower & micro jets. Given its location under the solarium and next to the service door for the staff sometimes you could hear a little bit of noise but it wasn´t really a problem, you get use to it and it didn’t disturb at all. Spacious cabin with a great view to the stern (with veranda) and port (just a window). The poles in the cabin took a little getting used to (I used my computer as a nightlight and clock so I wouldn't bump into them in the middle of the night). The bedside tables were small, and there is no power at the bedside (all of the outlets are at the desk). Storage was adequate, but oddly configured - the drawers were deep but narrow. The bed was very comfortable. The table was just big enough for breakfast for two. Our butler and cabin steward were wonderful. We booked the same suite for our next cruise - I hope to memorize the location of the poles more quickly next time. Read Less
