On Jan 12, my husband and I boarded the Celebrity Constellation for a 12 night cruise. We had been notified that the previous cruise had contacted norvovirus. Therefore the boarding process would be delayed while they did an extra level of cleaning of the ship. We finally boarded and wait until around 2:30 in the afternoon when the crew announced that all cabins were clean and we were free to ...
Why pay three times more for a cruise line that is no different than a mainstream cruise line? by cutting corners on food since the food is actually worse than MSC.
Limited entertainment venues, just the captain taking over the PA for an hour about navigation details no one cares about, just get us there!
The cabin TV's have limited selections with poor to no reception even when at ...
Our 7 dec 2023-6 jan 2024 celebrity cruise had a great itinerary and wonderful staff but, was a disappointment on many levels, especially when celebrity air left us stranded. so, with almost 20 cruises under our belts, several of them celebrity, and many more in our future, we will never cruise celebrity again.
Here are the details, starting with the positive: the 30 day south american ...
This was the 9th Celebrity cruise for me; the 2nd on the Constellation. My first experience with cruising was with Celebrity on a Mediterranean with my mother in September 2004. I was so impressed with the level of service, food quality/presentation and the entertainment that I encouraged my husband to go with me on a Eastern Caribbean with Celebrity on the Millennium in 2007. He was hooked! We ...
Lack of pre-cruise notifications
1 We were not told of the covid infections on previous cruise and only found out from back to back passengers and crew, although we could be sent multiple emails about things for sale
2 We were handed a sheet as we boarded that mask where required at all times
3 Some ports where pay to get off ship (you had to buy a Celebrity excursion to leave ship and ...
Wanted to see South America for the first time. The ship's décor is dated and tired especially the ocean view café, cabins and the lounges. The guest relations staff are mediocre and mostly not good at dealing with problems. The projector in the show theatre is appalling, giving a very blurred image and lack of vibrancy in the colour. Everything on board is way too expensive - drinks, spa, ...
The Celebrity Reflection Transatlantic 2014 cruise spoiled me. The Eclipse in 2019 woke me up. Food poisoning does that. I ate in the Celebrity cafe on the 14th floor. I was treated by the medical staff and once the ship docked in Santiago South America I received further treatment. My cabin 6212 creaked incessantly. This ship does need to be overhauled. The dining room experience was ...
Terrible customer service from concierge desk and customer relations manager. Kids club very unaccomodating and there’s nothing else for young kids to do on board other than swim, which given the cold wasn’t possible a lot of the days. I wouldn’t recommend this ship for anyone with children. Waiters were amazingly friendly and helpful throughout. Manager from kids club is in the wrong type of ...
I accidentally chose this cruise line. I should have read the reviews more. The service on the ship was hit and miss. The food was lukewarm to cold in the main dining room. The stateroom itself was very worn, scratched and chipped in so many places of the room, let alone the scratch sheets. I was informed by the activities director that Celebrity did not budget for entertainment. This is a ...
first time I cruise with Celebrity, I was very disappointed. There were not enough staff in the dinning room and the buffet room. in the buffet, if no one serve you (usually), you have to put your whole head under the hood to reach the food at the back. Chicken was dry and beef was tough. desserts were even worse, tasted only sugar and flour. The foyer was so small with curtains around, only a ...
