Celebrity Infinity May 2017
Background- Total of about 35 cruises, ~30 with Celebrity, last few were all on Solstice class ships.
Route-We started in San Diego and moved up the coast ending in Vancouver, 7 stops in 11 nights, also doing an overnight in San Francisco, each city stunning in its own right. They couldn’t have picked a better itinerary, and we were only touched by rain one time ...
I wanted to make a cruise along the Pacific coast and this cruise was 12 nights. Most other cruise lines were fewer nights. I don't like to go to all the effort and expense to go on a cruise for only 7-9 nights. This was my first Celebrity cruise, I normally cruise Holland America. I found Celebrity every bit the equal and more of HAL. One thing HAL does that Celebrity didn't, is the first day of ...
Embarkation:
Vancouver originally had two embarkation terminals – Ballantyne Pier and Canada Place. The facility at Canada Place was extended to accommodate three vessels and Ballantyne was discontinued. Alas, the facilities at Canada Place are inadequate for handling 5,000 people disembarking and another 5,000 embarking within a few hours. Our family of three arrived around midday to find a ...
We just arrived home from the September 11, 2016, sailing to Alaska/Inside Passage. Celebrity did not disappoint. We splurged as this was definitely a bucket list trip - and we were also fortunate to get a good deal when we booked. Our package included everything we wanted - a concierge class balcony room, the premium beverage package, internet, prepaid gratuities, and onboard credit. I feel ...
Truly a wonderful experience. We booked Aqua Class with Premium Drink package, wifi. Drink package well worth it. I tried things I never would have sampled left to my own devices. Most were good.
Aqua Class is the way to go, dining at Blu was exquisite every night. I was concerned the food would not be enjoyable for my husband, for he enjoys simpler fare, ie meat and potatoes, but he enjoyed ...
Infinity is a smaller older ship who still looks good for the most part. The crew were overwhelmingly helpful, friendly, polite and fun.
I never saw the Captain. Some cruises you see him all over the ship, not this one. I even did a bridge tour with the Elite group and no Captain. No big deal.
Stayed in 8121, an accessible sky suite. When I originally booked I needed one for my ...
Celebrity Infinity Pacific Coastal—Hubbard Glacier Cruise. May 2016
My wife and I took the eleven-day Celebrity Pacific Coastal cruise followed by the seven-day Hubbard Glacier Alaskan cruise in May 2016. The two cruises were a total of eighteen days filled with visits to iconic landmarks and views of magnificent scenery and wildlife. The Pacific Coastal is a repositioning cruise for the ...
Chose this cruise because I had friends booked on it. Also, it was an opportunity to return to CA, and then visit states I had not been to before, Oregon & Washington.
Loved the Infinity, so sad she had problems docking in Alaska! The ship was very pretty, & I liked all the public rooms, especially Constellation lounge. Great view forward, & we even saw some whales one evening while having ...
Frequent cruisers on Celebrity but first time on Infinity, San Diego to Vancouver in Aqua class. Each timed we cruise on Celebrity we say it was our best cruise ever, and this cruise was no exception. Although we had been to the ports of call several time by car, we enjoyed visiting the ports again by sea.
We arrived in San Diego by car and embarked immediately. Embarkation was simple and ...
We had another great Celebrity cruise. Some of our "firsts" on this one: First aft cabin (love!), first time eating in the MDR for breakfast (still haven't hit a lunch!), first time we caught the Liars Club game (fun), first time as Captain's Club Elite passengers. We spent a lot of time on our balcony rather than public areas this time around because we had upgraded to a family veranda cabin and ...
