Looking it's age, but still wonderful

The ship is starting to get old. Some of the chairs in the Oceanview Grill Buffet are worn and legs wobbly. Crews were varnishing wooden areas near the pool and stairways trying to keep the ship upgraded which was good. The staff onboard is fabulous. They just want you to be happy and enjoy yourself and try their best to make sure you do. Entertainment in the Theatre is very good, but always ...

Relaxing West Coast Cruise on the Celebrity Infinity

This was our 14th cruise. We have tried all the other main stream lines except Disney. We stayed in an inside cabin on the 11th deck. The average age of the passengers was about 60 years old and we were the young ones in our 40s. Pros: The food was excellent and there was plenty of variety. The places we went to were beautiful and the weather was perfect. Cons: 2 ½ hour wait to ...

Wonderful cruise on the Infinity - Pacific/California Coastal

My wife and I chose this cruise because some good friends were taking it and asked several other couples to join them - so we did! Altogether there were about 6 couples. The ports of call for this cruise were Santa Barbara, San Francisco (overnight), Monterrey, Avalon (Catalina Island) and Ensenada, MX. There were NO sea days, making this a bit of a different cruise. We drove over from ...

Wanting to stay stateside, this itinerary seems perfect. And it was! Infinity is an older ship, showing her age here and there, but she's well cared for and a nice size. Pre-cruise hotel was the Doubletree San Pedro - free shuttle, right on a marina, great views and staff. We were in Aqua for the first time and loved Blu. I understand it's not for everyone, but we loved the ...

We choose this cruise mainly because we had been on the Alaskan cruise and thought it would be good to stay with ship and do the Pacific coastal as there were lots of interesting ports of call. We reviewed the ports of call before the cruise and checked out celebrity's shore excursions and viators offerings. We opted to do our own thing with regards to shore excursions and were happy with our ...

I really like Celebrity

We go on Celebrity again and again. Obviously, we like this line. Embarkation: It went pretty smoothly for us. We live in the San Diego area and that was the embarkation point. So we arrived by train (a 40 minute trip), got off downtown, walked across the street to the cruise port and we were there. Very easy (and inexpensive). There were the usual serpentine lines but it was not terribly ...

Northbound San Diego to Vancouver on Infinity

Pick this because of the unique schedule of ports going up the west coast to Vancouver. Celebrity Elite cruisers. Third cruise on the Infinity, from its first days in Alaska to South America and this one. Guest entertainment was very good. On board production shows were a little bit rough. Live band at shows was great. Lack of music around ship pre-dinner was noticeable. When there was ...

Great itinerary but older ship trying too hard to look like Solstice

We live in Vancouver, so for us the ship was a two-stop train ride on the Canada Line. Because of the royal visit at Canada Place that morning, and with 3 ships docked, we went down to the pier at 9:30 where the port had organized the embarcations to come in at one end of the terminal and the disembarcations to leave via the other end. The process was very efficient and we were checked in and ...

We live in Washington State just south of the Canadian Border so this was an easy trip to Canada Place. The cruise was a round trip from Vancouver. We arrived early and embarkation was swift, getting us on the ship by 11:00 am. Ate all meals in the dining room, all of which were great. Dining staff was super. Food was superb and more than we needed. Bar service was always ready, but ...
