Highly uneven experience

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

I had never sailed on Celebrity. 4 previous on Norwegian. That was my comparison and Eclipse was a bit of a disappointment with a 5.5 rating on Vacations to Go. Pros: the crew tried very hard and were friendly and courteous always. Not sure how happy or cohesive they were. Felt fairly new. Stateroom was well maintained and clean. Ship interior is quite beautiful with glass elevators ...

First time on Celebrity. The Pacific coast itinerary(RT Los Angeles) was the reason we booked this cruise. Living not far from the Los Angles port allowed us to drive to the port with no need to fly. The crew members were very nice and accommodating. Captain announcements on the PA system were timely although at times were difficult to understand(heavy accent). The food at the main ...

For our 25th wedding anniversary, my husband and I cruised the California Coast on Celebrity Solstice. We viewed this as a trial cruise, our first back since the pandemic. It was our third time on Solstice after cruising the Caribbean in 2011 and Alaska in 2017. The ship is worn and would have gone to drydock already if not for the pandemic. But she is still lovely with high marks for design. ...

Let me start by saying…we desperately needed a vacation…and cruising is our favorite type of vacation. In the end, the vacation was a success! We got the rest and relaxation we needed after 4 years of not going anywhere. We were sad to leave at the end – and this is the whole point of a successful vacation. I would like to give a review of the various experiences on this ship. I ...

Booked this California Coastal to proceed our Mexican Riviera cruise. Package included classic drink, internet, and paid gratuity. What happened to luxury included? Embarkation had porta potties and double bussing to get to ship. Lobster dinner is limited to one lobster or pay $16 for additional. Breakfast in your stateroom is $11 if you want any egg , bacon or cheese platter. ...

So Sad, Poor Tired Ship

We chose the itinerary (which was the Pacific Coast, not Japan) Originally we chose the Millinium, but the ship was changed to Solstice. Big disappointment. From a revolutionized ship to one who is just worn out. I choose a cruise for the whole experience and this did not deliver. The service overall service was great, the staff was friendly, we did not experience any of the shortages ...

We liked the itinerary and had not visited the West Coast since the 80`s.We got to San Diego a day early and enjoyed the city.Didn`t stop in Monterrey due to the heavy seas and the water was rough up to Seattle.Got two and half days in San Francisco and had a good time. The stop in Astoria Oregon should be eliminated and the extra time spent in Seattle a beautiful city.Victoria was great too.We ...

We are experienced cruisers (12 +), second time with Celebrity. We selected this itinerary for the Pacific San Diego to Vancouver route. My brother & his wife traveling with us, first time on Celebrity. Concierge cabins 2138 & 2140 on deck 12. We picked these so that we could have a combined balcony which worked great the first day. Until the trouble started with the excessive noise above us from ...

Have just disembarked the Celebrity Eclipse following a 9 night Pacific Coastal Cruise from San Diego to Vancouver. We chose this cruise because we had sailed on the Eclipse 3 time previously and liked the itinerary. On embarking the ship we were greeted with the customary glass of champagne (make the most of it as it’s the last freebie you will get). The first thing I would say is that ...
