Because of many negative comments posted prior to our departure, we were prepared for a less than stellar experience. We knew it was the last crusie prior to going to Freeport, The Bahamas to be retrofited immediately after we disembarked. However, we were pleasantly surprised. We had cruised for 14 days on Millenium in 2008 to Alaska and back to San Diego and it was our favorite cruise, with so ...

Even though we were disappointed with the cruise on the Eclipse(see review)in February, we came back to Celebrity since it was the only ship that matched our schedule. Maybe our expectations were low based on the Eclipse but the Millennium was a pleasant surprise. The embarkation was worse than the Eclipse which was strange since it was a smaller ship and also was not full. We waited about 25 ...

Awesome Cruise

The cruise was absolutely fabulous. We had a great and relaxing time. There were added little touches that made it even more special. Upon arrival Mimosas or champagne were served before boarding the ship along with beautiful fresh flower bouquets. When returning to the ship from the ports before boarding they had cold ice water or juice, Purell, and cold towels. Embarkation: Very quick ...

First Cruise - a pleasure, with reservations

From the top I have to say overall we enjoyed our first cruise - 5 days, western Caribbean from Miami; calling at Falmouth, Jamaica and Georgetown, Grand Cayman. Our Concierge class cabin on the aft of the ship was generous in size and very comfortable; comparable to a small room in a luxury hotel. The veranda looking to the rear was extremely large. We were on deck 9, directly below the ...

I decided in January to book my annual winter break cruise and started looking for cruises departing in Feb. Celebrity always has good deals on Western Caribbean cruises this time of year so it was pretty much a no brain-er when I saw the Millennium sailing a 5 day itinerary for 349pp. I could have gone cheaper on Carnival, but I want more sophistication and less party on my ...

Fine Cruise with Celebrity

My partner and I took this 5-nighter and it didn't disappoint. No, the ship isn't Solstice class (yet), but for the most part, Celebrity lived up to its reputation for quality and good food. Embarkation in Miami was very smooth; champagne was given out upon arrival. The ship was a bit late in allowing us to get to our cabin, but the delay wasn't too long (1:30, not 1:00 as announced). Was ...

This was our 9th cruise on Celebrity. We are a couple in our late 50s/early 60s who enjoy R&R in the sun after Xmas and this cruise was a 'back to back' with the Eclipse. It was instructive to compare the two ships. Millenium seems quite small after the Eclipse and almost more welcoming, if slightly old fashioned. The ship is due to go into dry dock in April to be refurbished and 'Solsticised' ...

This was one of my solo cruises. I have chosen the Celebrity Millennium because I like the Millennium ships, I have already sailed twice with the Infinity and the Constellation was more expensive in a similar cabin category. I flew to Miami three days before the cruise. At arrival at the airport, the migration officer looked at me very serious, then at his computer, that probably was showing that ...

We are a couple in our mid fifties who are fortunate to be able to cruise quite often and since 2 of our kids are attending university in Miami we try to combine a visit with them and a cruise with just us two. I happened upon what I thought was a great price on a 5 day on the Millenium stopping at Roatan and Cozumel for late January. We knew going in to this cruise that Celebrity was putting this ...

Quick Holiday Cruise on Millenium out of Miami

An early Christmas gift given to me by my husband, we sailed on the Celebrity Millenium out of Miami Dec 17 for a five day cruise. We flew into Ft Lauderdale with a bus transfer (per Celebrity) to Miami's port which was a breeze. Check in was easy and a breeze as well. As they say, it's important to make a good first impression! The ship certainly did with a welcoming committee, fresh ...
