First time with Celebrity!

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

My husband and I have cruised before but always with our children. We thought that Celebrity would be a nice option for kid free cruising. Celebrity was supposed to be a little more upscale with less party crowd. That was what we were looking for and that's why we booked it. I wanted to have a veranda and initially booked a concierge class with veranda. My husband noted that the Sky ...

My daughter {22 years old} had been begging me to go on a cruise during her vacation time, which was also spring break. We live in Florida and cruise often on Royal Caribbean. I had checked the itinerary of the RC lines and none were going to decent beach destinations so I chose to try Celebrity since I had been told to try it since I loved RC so much as it was their "5 star line". I also had ...

Great things we enjoyed: •Our cabin stewards [Wayan and his assistant] were very friendly and great. They have done their best to accommodate our daily needs with smiles. •Our dining room waiters [Teguh and Dana] were also great. •The entertainment team is one of the best we have seen among other competitors - especially Kimika Duo [they are fabulous - we have seen them performed several times ...

Had not cruised for 10 years and our last cruise was ok so we were a little apprehensive. We flew into MIA and stayed at the Hotel Breakwater in SOBE. Its at 10th and Ocean so it is right in the middle of everything, including a lot of people in a party mood. The hotel was great; newly renovated and nice rooms. I've read many reviews of the noise so we booked a high floor room in the southwest ...

First Cruise - a pleasure, with reservations

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

From the top I have to say overall we enjoyed our first cruise - 5 days, western Caribbean from Miami; calling at Falmouth, Jamaica and Georgetown, Grand Cayman. Our Concierge class cabin on the aft of the ship was generous in size and very comfortable; comparable to a small room in a luxury hotel. The veranda looking to the rear was extremely large. We were on deck 9, directly below the ...

The ship isn't as large as others I've been on, but there were fantastic public areas and friendly service. When we arrived, we were greeted with Mimosas--for free! Nice touch. Staff on the ship was friendly and helpful. The choices in the dining room were great. They even served a full-sized lobster one of the nights. This is something many of the cruise lines have done away ...

Overall, the cruise was good and we loved the itinerary. However, we just had too many issues that should not have occurred. Plus, I really do not like being in the situation of chasing down and solving problems when I'd rather be spending my time relaxing. We've always heard that Celebrity Cruises was a step above its sister line, Royal Caribbean. We have taken numerous cruises on Royal ...

The cruise was absolutely fabulous. We had a great and relaxing time. There were added little touches that made it even more special. Upon arrival Mimosas or champagne were served before boarding the ship along with beautiful fresh flower bouquets. When returning to the ship from the ports before boarding they had cold ice water or juice, Purell, and cold towels. Embarkation: Very quick ...

I have cruised on the MILLIE 5 times since Oct. 11... I really, really enjoy everything about it and am very sorry to know that she will not be doing the 4-5 day cruise out of Miami any longer.. In Dec. 12 we may have the Constellation. First timers, DO NOT MISS the SPECIAL brunch on the last sea day.. it is over the top. Also the solarium Tpool is "the best" Over 18 years of age and no ...

We've had 2 fantastic prior sailings with Celebrity in Concierge class but for my husband's birthday I thought I'd surprise him with a suite. We LOVED it. Yes the Millennium is an older ship heading into dry dock and there was some minor rust on the outside but it did not detract from our cruise. Embarkation was a breeze at the Miami terminal. We arrived around 11 AM and proceeded to the ...
