Great food and it mostly ends there.

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

The food was exceptional. The buffet was the best on any ship and I mean any ship. Tuscan Grill was WOW. It just wins as one of the best meals I have ever eaten. Their cakes were disgusting though. However food on the ship is important but does not make the cruise on its own. Activities were very lack luster. There was no BINGO which was weird. They also showed Whitney Huston movie 8 times and ...

PROS - Ship is great, Medium Size, Easy to get around. We sail about 6 times a year. This was our 4th on Celebrity. Ship only had 1200 passengers on this sailing. We have sailed on the Summit and the Infinity before. My wife was on the Summit 2 months ago and she said it was great. CONS - Room Steward - Very Slow, Left for dinner at 530pm come back at 8pm and room still hasn't been ...

We chose this cruise to celebrate our anniversary/birthdays. The itinerary ports of call were some of our favorite islands and we had been extremely impressed on our previous Celebrity cruises with the food and service. This was our first return to a ship since the pandemic, so we were very excited to return. We had stayed overnight in San Juan and were able to embark at 12:00. The process was ...

Having sailed with Celebrity for over 10 years, we choose this as a trip with friends. The retrofit that was done, was done well. I do not fault the ship at all. The staff for the most part (98%) gave us the superior service that you expect on Celebrity. All our issues with the cruise were caused by Shoreside. We were drawn to X because they did not cruise like the other lines. They ...

A Ship in Training

I am a very loyal customer to Celebrity so I am not happy to report this cruise was disappointing at the very least. I am convinced Celebrity uses this ship and itinerary to train new staff. Customer service and job knowledge was lacking. The manager of the Blu Restaurant refused to enforce the dress code. Nothing like trying to have dinner sitting next to people in shorts, tank tops, flip ...

We are a mid-50's couple who have been cruising for 25+years with multiple cruise lines over the years. This particular cruise was planned as a combined Christmas, Birthday and Graduation cruise. there were 5 total travelers, we booked 2 concierge balcony cabins, one for my wife and I and one for our son (17), daughter (21) and her fiancé (24). Our disappointment was with the overall service and ...

I am still trying to find the wow factor of this cruise. Been on about 15 cruises from carnival to Norwegian to princess to Holland American lines. And was so looking forward to celebrity.

We chose this cruise because we got a great deal on it and heard it was a wonderful cruise line. We have been on other cruises and thought this would be an upgrade. The food is ok. Nothing great and the same old same old at the buffet. We finally got ranch and blue cheese salad dressing on day 5. No variety. So it’s exactly the same over cooked food. At the omelette station on day 7 the girl that ...

Before this cruise, I would have told you no one beats Celebrity. This was our third trip with this line, our second on Millenium. Even with the knowledge that this was her last trip before her refurbishment didn't bother me, I understand the need for upgrades. However, the amount of refurbishment going on during the cruise was totally not acceptable, and the condition of bed sheets (huge ...

We have sailed twice before, on RC's Voyager and Mariner. We had been very pleased with both previous cruises and our TA suggested we would be even happier trying Celebrity, " a step higher in service and food quality" she said. We couldn't imagine being higher but we signed on to try. Was she ever wrong!! We arrived the day before and stayed at the Sheraton Plantation...beautiful Hotel poor ...

My wife and I just returned home from a 7 day cruise aboard Millennium. We sailed on Feb 10,2008. We were in a party of 9 guests whose experience ranged from first-time cruisers to a couple who were making their 45th cruise. All agreed that the ship was clean, beautiful and well managed. For the most part, the staff and officers were sharp, professional and respectful. My cabin attendant Nicoletta ...
