Was looking forward to this itenerary, we had sailed a similar cruise a few years ago and really enjoyed it. We enjoyed the ports on this cruise quite a lot - there were a couple ports that we hadn't seen and were terrific (loved Domenica). The ship and the service were both okay, but not great. The ship, despite its makeover a few years ago, is showing its age. Not everything has been ...

Charged my credit card every day?

This is my ocean cruise number 25 so I think I can be objective. It was called: 7 NIGHT SOUTHERN CARIBBEAN CRUISE. I took this cruise thinking that Celebrity was a notch better that Holland America according to other cruisers. I had a "Concierge" stateroom 9189. The ship was not what I expected at all! The most amazing thing for me is that they charged my credit card daily, for 11 times, and for ...

Overall, I give it a B+. Celebrity Refreshed means updates to the skin. The bones remain old. Our carpet was new but the phone in the room looks like the original. My wife got locked out on the balcony. I also heard the couple we were sitting next to at dinner have the same thing happen to them. Service was just incredible. The best we've ever experienced. The staff were obviously happy to ...

We booked this cruise at last minute. Drove to Miami from Ontario. The check in at the ship was easy. I just wish I had carried my own luggage. So we had to sit around till we could get into our room and then the luggage did not come till we were almost sailing. Excuse only one service elevator working. I was lead to believe we couldn't. This ship needs to dry dock and get things fixed up. Stairs ...

Less than we expected

We had checked out many cruises as we just wanted to get away and decided since the kids were all grown and it would be just 'us', we thought we would upgrade to Celebrity. I did some research on Cruise Critic so we found the Millenium exactly as rated, a bit dated, in need of some touchups, but overall a very beautiful ship and one on which we would happily cruise again. We spent a little extra ...

First time on Celebrity Cruise

This was our first cruise on Celebrity Cruises. We have cruised now 8 times, 5 on Princess, 1 on Carnival, 1 on Holland American and the last on the Celebrity Millennium. I have always asked other people on subsequent cruises "what cruise line they liked or enjoyed best?" many have answered Celebrity. We however would rank Celebrity Lines 4th out of all the Cruise Lines we have been on. I have ...

We just returned from the Millenium on a 7 day eastern caribbean cruisewe arrived at the hotel in Ft. Lauderdale a day before the cruise. We stayed at the Comfort Inn near the airport. Clean room, a pool, complimentary breakfast buffet. All in all good value for the dollar. Arrived at the pier at about 10:20 and were on the ship by about 11:20. Embarcation process was the best we ever had in our ...

WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!

This was our 20th cruise and 4th with Celebrity. This cruise line has certainly gone downhill since our last cruise on them in 2001. We drove ourselves to Port Everglades, and once inside the terminal building, embarkation was chaotic at best. Employees seemed to select people from lines randomly to talk with agents, unless an agent called out to you first. Paperwork was processed, keys were ...

This is our 4th cruise on Celebrity, and our 12th cruise overall. Our last Celebrity cruise was in 2005. Before i get going, i need to say IF YOU HAVE AN ALLERGY TO BLEACH, DO NOT BOOK THE MILLENNIUM. The crew wipes all the handrails down with a bleach solution to combat viruses. While this is a great idea in principle, they leave the bleach soaking on the handrails and you get it all over your ...

Embarkation was delayed due to a drug bust on another ship that morning (so we heard) and a Coast Guard inspection of the Millennium, just back from Europe. However, there was NO communication to the 1000+ people waiting to board. No announcements. Tempers flared. This was not a good beginning. Lack of communication became an issue throughout the cruise and complaints escalated about minor things. ...
