Seward to Alaska - family time
"Last day was a sea day and my son-in-law started feeling bad I am sure there will be no surprise since arriving home three out of five of us tested positive for Covid. The gave us gear for the canoe portion and once I got the rain boots, rain pants, raincoat I felt like I was the little boy in Christmas story who was over dressed, and it made walking difficult...."Read More

Seward to Alaska - family time

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

This cruise was originally planned for August 2020 and of course COVID caused the trip to be pushed out to 2022. After months of worrying about air transportation everything worked out fine. We arrived in Seward a few days prior to boarding, and everything went well. We had not been on any ship since 2019 so we were all excited to do this trip. This was our first time in a Celebrity Suite, and ...

After almost two years of living with fear, isolation and uncertainty, we decided to take the first step towards feeling “normal” and social again. While many of our friends and relatives expressed skepticism and concern (even some disbelief) about our decision to go on a cruise, we felt confident that this decision was made very carefully and thoughtfully. Our past positive experiences ...

Great to be back onboard.

We had 6 couples on our cruise to Alaska. This had been planned for two years, cancelled twice and had 3 ship changes. So it was exciting to be back on board. With a capacity of 2200 passengers, we only had 850 onboard and over 700 crew. We got spoiled with this ratio. Everyone of the crew was so excited to be there and they could not do enough for us. The waitstaff, the coffee bar attendants, the ...

We were very excited to be cruising again after countless cancelled cruises due to Covid! Celebrity required 100% of their crew to be vaccinated, as well as all passengers 12 and over. Passengers were also required to submit a negative Covid test within 72 hours of boarding the ship. The crew was constantly cleaning the ship, wearing masks and the buffet was no longer serve yourself. My husband ...

We did this cruise for my birthday and as our first real trip after all the COVID crazy cancelled so much in 2020. Overall, we had an amazing experience. Flying into Saint Maarten was not as bad as expected, only time I was worried was waiting in the check in-line in CLT because it was a very long line even at 4am and we had to check in with an agent to get our documents reviewed. It was only bad ...

7 day ALASKA Millennium cruise

We sailed on the millennium 4 years ago from Vancouver to Seward on an 8 day cruise and returned back by air. We found it to be in need of refurbishment at that time and were disappointed. We have always enjoyed the Solstice ships and therefore remained with them instead and have enjoyed MANY wonderful cruises to many fabulous destinations. Since they refurbished the Millennium this spring we ...

You can't beat the service!

My husband and I previously cruised to Bermuda and Alaska, and had such a horrible experience the second time (on Norwegian) that we didn't do it again for 15 years. I'm glad we have it another shot, because the Celebrity Millennium was wonderful, especially post-revolution. We stayed in the Sky Suite and the service was impeccable. Ramir, our butler, Elvie, our stateroom attendant, and ...

Overall perspective: We had a phenomenal time. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Our critiques are real, but ultimately we really enjoyed ourselves. Ship Condition: If you look hard, you can tell the Millie is not a new ship. There are some layouts that clearly would not be picked if you were building a new ship (Qsine blocking a stairway, sushi on 5 in the middle of a wine bar). ...

Do NOT book Suite 9096 -- Incredibly Noisy.

First, the bad. The Celebrity Suite was remodeled and generally a very good job. Except, unlike the regular rooms where the renovation put in a glass-doored shower, the much more expensive Celebrity Suite is left with a difficult to climb into bathtub with a plastic shower curtain -- which we asked be replaced due to smell and which they promptly did. Most important, and referred to in another ...

This was our first cruise and a celebration of our 40th Anniversary. The ship was wonderful - first voyage after retrofit. The crew was excellent. So many nice people working onboard. Went out of their way to help us first time cruisers. Loved the food, the fun - everything. The shows were excellent. Loved that there was a crew there that were counting animals - they taught me a lot about ...
