1-10 of 101 Celebrity Millennium Suite Cabin Cruise Reviews
We sailed on the millennium 4 years ago from Vancouver to Seward on an 8 day cruise and returned back by air.
We found it to be in need of refurbishment at that time and were disappointed. We have always enjoyed the Solstice ships and therefore remained with them instead and have enjoyed MANY wonderful cruises to many fabulous destinations. Since they refurbished the Millennium this spring we ...
My husband and I previously cruised to Bermuda and Alaska, and had such a horrible experience the second time (on Norwegian) that we didn't do it again for 15 years. I'm glad we have it another shot, because the Celebrity Millennium was wonderful, especially post-revolution.
We stayed in the Sky Suite and the service was impeccable. Ramir, our butler, Elvie, our stateroom attendant, and ...
Overall perspective:
We had a phenomenal time. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Our critiques are real, but ultimately we really enjoyed ourselves.
Ship Condition:
If you look hard, you can tell the Millie is not a new ship. There are some layouts that clearly would not be picked if you were building a new ship (Qsine blocking a stairway, sushi on 5 in the middle of a wine bar). ...
First, the bad. The Celebrity Suite was remodeled and generally a very good job. Except, unlike the regular rooms where the renovation put in a glass-doored shower, the much more expensive Celebrity Suite is left with a difficult to climb into bathtub with a plastic shower curtain -- which we asked be replaced due to smell and which they promptly did. Most important, and referred to in another ...
This was our first cruise and a celebration of our 40th Anniversary. The ship was wonderful - first voyage after retrofit. The crew was excellent. So many nice people working onboard. Went out of their way to help us first time cruisers. Loved the food, the fun - everything. The shows were excellent. Loved that there was a crew there that were counting animals - they taught me a lot about ...
I am a very frequent cruises, having been on more than 50 cruises so I am a little jaded. When I travel with younger ones Royal is my top choice, so I have been on their sister line Celebrity about 6 times including this cruise. I had been on two Millenium ships previously, including one within the past year so I can comment on the refurb.
I really would give this 3 1/2 stars, not 4, but I ...
We were very happy with this cruise and pleased that we were able to do it on Celebrity because most of their itineraries are pretty boring (that is the only thing they should learn from MSC!).
We were lucky that we were on one of the first cruises after the dry dock "Celebrity Revolution" makeover. The ship - like all M class ships - was in bad need of a renovation and we were overall quite ...
Just came off the newly renovated Millenium. A great ship and a great itinerary in Asia.
The common areas are beautiful - soothing decor colors and shiny new everything. Qsine and Sushi on 5 wonderful as always. The new areas for suites are beautiful such as the Retreat and Sun Deck. You feel special being in a suite.
The service was wonderful - the Captain is so funny and we looked ...
70 th birthday celebration disasterous choice. We booked a sky suite near the very top of the range cabins. We identified a twenty point plus list of problems in the cabin some which where never solved all the time we were on board. Others solved/improved by the fifth day of seven. A five star luxury cruise it was not.
Example electrical wiring with exposed ends hanging out of the bathroom ...
This is the first ship to get the full refurbishment (a massive overhaul after 2 more voyages.) It shows. The were many broken and "slapped together" fixes in the staterooms and around the ship. Broken fixtures, wobbly furniture, poor mattresses, stains, puddles... The skylight over the Cosmos Lounge had a tarp over it - probably from leaks they were giving up on repairing. Our bathroom had black ...
