Not As Good As I Thought

Review for a Trans-Ocean Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

This was a relocation cruise from Singapore to Sydney. The ship we sailed on "Celebrity Millennium" was in need of some major renovations. There were holes covered by carpet on one of the decks and people actually suffered falls. I had a balcony room on deck 9 and the view was fantastic, once I could get the balcony door open. This ship is due to go in to dry dock once it reaches Vancouver, ...

The main reason for taking this cruise was to get from Singapore to Cairns, Australia and Celebrity Millennium was the only ship that fitted the bill regarding ports and timing. A week prior to joining the ship in Singapore we were advised by our booking agent that the scheduled stop at Bali had been cancelled due to security concerns. We were naturally disappointed but firmly believe that ...

Great Cruise-Tired Looking Ship

We boarded the Millie for our cruise to Singapore from Sydney after having been on the Solstice for a week and were disappointed in the lack of updates especially since she had been in dry dock for engine repairs just a few months prior. The staff was mostly new and it took them more than a few days to realize that a smile and friendliness gets you a long way with the passengers. We had an ...

Great ports, but lots of room for improvement on the Millennium

This was a second cruise on the Millennium and third overall on Celebrity. Ship itself was well maintained. We had a handicapped cabin, which meant there was a lot of extra space and we had a rear facing balcony which was great. Cabin crew was efficient and friendly. Entertainment was good, lots of local performers from Australia. We had room service breakfast several times on the balcony. Good, ...

Don't go on this ship.

After having sailed on 63 cruises, many having been with Celebrity, I can truly say it will take a great deal of convincing to book another cruise with them. I have never been as prompted as I am now to warn and recommend to people to not book a cruise with celebrity or on the Millenium. IN SUMMARY, the issues began with check in in Honolulu. The bus literally dropped us in the parking lot where ...

We embarked in Sydney to start our cruise. The ship had cancelled the previous week's cruise due to engine problems so we could embark at 11 a.m. instead of waiting. It was very convenient to have the ship right in the middle of the harbor with great views of the bridge and opera house. The ship, however, needs repairs. Our room had stains in the bathroom and carpet. We also were right below the ...

Celebrity Millenium

We booked a 15 day cruise on the Celebrity Millenium going from Auckland, New Zealand to Sydney Australia.  We do not recommend any one waste their money on this ship.  The ship is old, run down, and the staff does not care about their customers.  The furniture and carpet was threadbare.  You couldn't take any pictures out the windows because they were to dirty.  They didn't clean them the entire ...

Concierge class is not worth the extra

Personal Background Information - This was our first and possibly last cruise with Celebrity. We are not avid cruisers but have cruised with other lines before. Embarkation - embarkation went smoothly as we were in Concierge class although there was no line up at the other desks either. The instructions said not to embark before 3 pm but a lot of people were there by 12 noon. How they would have ...
