Don't go on this cruise thinking the food is better than other cruise lines.

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Celebrity Equinox

We normally go royal Caribbean and are diamond members. My wife has never been a fan of the food on royal and we heard the food on Celebrity was much better. It wasn't. I would rate the dining room food to be about the same as Royal but the buffet was not as good and didn't have the variety I have seen even on small ships on royal. This is not to say you can't find something to eat. Just ...

I chose this particular cruise because one of the ports was Key West, where I have never been.Other ports were Costa Maya, Cozumel and Grand Cayman. The fact that is was on the Equinox made it better since I have been on this ship before and it is just the right size. My friend from B.C. and I shared a cabin that was perfectly situated on Deck 8. On this particular cruise, we ate breakfast ...

I would like to share some experiences from our recent (12/2) Celebrity Equinox sailing out of Miami. We have been on about 32 cruises over the past 16 years. We have tried all the main stream cruise lines but Celebrity and Holland America remain our two favorites. We flew in the day before departure and spent the night at the Doubletree Hilton, Biscayne Bay. The hotel is a short $16 Uber ride ...

We are frequent cruisers, especially after hurricane season, we chose to repeat the last season of Eclipse 2 week Southern Caribbean. Only negative was not checking air fares 1st, ended up paying almost double because of Thanksgiving weekend. Same day flight with Choice Air worked out fine for us, we had an early welcome in Miami with no hold-ups boarding. 11 ish. Rooms were available ...

Best Cruise ever, Rating = A+++

Celebrity has again surpassed all of my expectations. I have cruised more than 30 times and this was the best one ever. The reason for this is simple: absolutely every staff member did their utmost to ensure we had the penultimate cruise experience. They most certainly succeeded. Food in the Ocean Cafe was exceptional. Food in the Main Dining Room was excellent. Sue Denning was our ...

A great itinerary on a marvelous ship

We had been on the Eclipse in its first year (2011), and fondly remembered it as a large ship that did not feel overwhelming. Since then, we have been on several other Solstice class ships, but found it to still maintain its charm and appeal. First time we did not stay in concierge (last minute decision to cruise), and based on the level of service we experienced, there was no fall off. On ...

A fantastic 14 day cruise

14 day cruises seem to be going the way of the Dodo bird. That is why we chose this cruise. This is the third time for use on this itinerary. We love that Southern Caribbean cruises. We were in the Celebrity Suite 1110. The suite restaurant, Luminae, is amazing, away from the busy main dinning room. We also visited each of the specialty restaurant (Qsine, Tuscan Grill and Murano). All were ...

Knowing Celebrity we consider it as expected; a well rounded cruise

The drier to choose this cruise was the destinations. We still wanted to go to the ABC islands and this cruise had the best itinerary on a cruise line we trust in delivering an experience that would not shortfall of our expectations. It is worth to mention though, that over time there was a decline in the quality of their food but I still would rate it further up than many of the their ...

Ok, First we are not new to crusing. This was our 42 cruise and 5th with Celebrity. What we found was issues with the service overall. In the main dining room we only saw the waiters assistant only once on the final night of a 14 day cruise. The other times we had diner the food was often wrong and cool-cold. One night my wife asked for a cup of coffee, 35 minutes later still no coffee or waiter. ...

Wonderful staff especially in the main dining room

The itinerary was the reason we chose Celebrity. Staff very good, attentive and helpful. Room steward the best we've had in all our cruises. Main dining room wait staff were excellent. Food was not as good as we've had on other cruises, especially at the buffet. I had breakfast in my cabin and the staff were very punctual. I wasn't able to go ashore because I had an injured my knee and ...
