Even though this is the oldest of the EDGE class ships it is my favourite. I think it must be the staff on the EDGE make all the difference. .
Not much to add to my last review of the EDGE, apart from....
If you are not happy with anything on the ship from dining to entertainment don't moan about it, or accept it, do something about it. In nearly all circumstances, the staff on the ship ...
My wife and I finally got back to cruising in July and I thought I might give my impressions of Edge (our first time on an Edge class ship) and changes in cruising we noticed.
First Edge was a great ship and our infinity veranda was an excellent choice. The infinite veranda allows you to be on your veranda and still in your cabin at the same time. On this cruise the weather in Europe was hot, ...
We have sailed on Celebrity numerous times, the itinerary for this Cruise looked perfect for us, Greek islands predominantly at the right time of year.
To be fair, from the outside, the ship isnt as pretty as others to look at, the front end is designed differently, but obviously it doesnt affect your Cruise. Everything is new and pristine, as a new Ship should be. Not as open plan inside as ...
we had a great trip, enjoyed Italy, the Greek islands and turkey. got to spend three days in Rome before cruise, amazing sites the Vatican is a must in my opinion. we did the private before open to public tour with breakfast in the pine cone courtyard. Time well spent before the crowds! we used Rome Chauffeur from airport to Double Tree, to Port and back to airport, they were awesome, on time all ...
A sister ship of the Equinox which I also cruised a few years ago, I has excited to revisit this class of ship.
We were on the 11 night Med cruise out of Rome to Sicily, Greece, Turkey and returning to Rome. Very excited as it was our first Med cruise and never been to turkey or Greece before.
The Ship is around 10 years old and has not had a major refurb yet (but is due to soon). Overall ...
We stayed a couple of days in Rome beforehand and took a Rome Airport Transportation car down to the port at Civitavecchia on embarkation day. Celebrity’s organisation at the terminal was excellent, it really did exceed expectations - we had booked a retreat class suite and the check-in service could not have been better. There is a dedicated suite section and we were on the ship within 15 minutes ...

I am currently sat in the Cafe on the ‘Celebrity Beyond’. The third ship in the ‘Edge’ class of ships.
This is one of the most comfortable and stylish ships I have ever sailed on, subtlety improving on the original ‘Celebrity EDGE’ in so many ways, without making you feel lost in new features, or missing loved features.
With a much-improved sunset bar area, a new bar on the upper resort ...
My wife and I are retired and have done more than 20 cruises. This was our second Celebrity cruise. We are doing a 7-month RTW trip and this cruise was a chill-out time after 2-months travelling around Europe. Although it was Beyond's 4th cruise, we found the cruise to be still getting up to speed. On boarding in the first day in Rome we went for lunch in one of the restaurants and the food was ...
I chose the cruise for the itinerary— mainly, the Greek islands and Naples.
The Edge was an amazing ship with so many dining options to choose from!
Captain Tasos’ morning announcements and participation in the crew vs passengers pool volleyball game was entertaining.
Speaking of entertaining, the music performances of Uptown were fabulous and fun with audience interaction!
Another ...
