Waited 3 years to do this itinerary, was originally supposed to sail on Edge. Beyond is a stunning ship, obviously in pristine condition given it’s relatively brand new. Never felt crowded anywhere, the ship easily accommodates 3,000 plus passengers. The one thing that was outstanding was the food selection and quality in the Oceanview Cafe. We had sailed on Carnival Mardi Gras in Feb., the ...
I cannot find a negative thing to say regarding this cruise. It was my first time cruising and after this experience it wont be my last. Embarkation to disembarkation everything was a smooth dream.
I had an aft cabin so cannot comment on the controversial 'infinity balcony', as we had a proper walk onto balcony complete with two chairs, a small table and two sun loungers.
All four main ...
We chose this cruise for the itinerary and the reputation of Celebrity. We arrived in Athens two days early, which was fortunate because our luggage didn’t show up for two days. Boarding was easy and efficient. We had arrived early at the port because that was when we were dropped off, but that did not present a problem. We left our bags (inside stateroom) and met our room steward, Roselle. ...
We booked this cruise over a year before sailing and were a little sceptical as we had only cruised Celebrity once before and that was on Silhouette for a 4 night trip from Southampton.
Departing from Ravenna makes things a little more complicated, but we had an amazing few days in Bologna before we caught the train to Ravenna. A few days before flying out we booked the shuttle from Ravenna ...
We decided post pandemic to get cruising again, and a 7 Night adventure in the Adriatic and Greek Islands sounded fine for us. It was over 15 years ago since we had sailed with Celebrity ( to the Carribean ), so we booked through IGLU travel, and their sevice has been fantastic. Firstly, all the planning by them has gone like a dream. We got a deal on Aqua Class and an all inclusive standard ...
Went on reflection last year so wanted to try their newest ship.
The new ship is stunning and very similar to Edge, only slightly larger.
Biggest difference appeared to be the sunset bar. Its stunning.
Great pool deck, plenty of available sun beds, great bars, entertainment if you wanted it.
Entertaimet generally was superb.
Food is amazing. 4 dining restaurants to choose from. ...
We have sailed Celebrity many times in the Caribbean but this was our first time sailing Celebrity in Europe. The cruise did not disappoint. The only main complaint was embarkation in Civitavecchia. If you did not take the Celebrity transfer they left you on your own. The port has no signs and people were wandering around trying to navigate the port to get to the ship. It should not be that hard ...
This was our first cruise post Covid. We chose Celebrity Edge for the 1 week itinerary from Rome to Barcelona. Our first time choosing the Infinity cabin (usually do inside). We loved the infinity windows. We could lay in bed and listen to the water below and made the room so much larger. The food was the BEST we have had on 18 cruises. We do not ever eat in the main dining rooms and stick to the ...
Just returned from doing the Italy France & Spain 7 day cruise.
The ship was getting mixed reviews so we were a bit anxious, but we needn’t have been, it’s the best ship we’ve been on and we have done quite a few cruises.
We had a balcony cabin which was very spacious as was the shower room.
There is an amazing atmosphere on this ship, the ‘design change’ really works, the older cruise ...
It’s true, the Infinity needs an overhaul but it still is a beautiful ship but the crew is what was most impressive. We were told it is going into dry dock in January for an overhaul.
We are long time cruisers and have been sailing with Celebrity since before they were purchased by RCCL, almost 30 years ago. We chose this itinerary because we hadn’t yet been to Croatia.
Leaving from Athens ...
