Review for a South America Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

This was our first cruise with Celebrity having sailed mostly with HAL, it's interesting to wonder whether this means you become used to how a certain provider does things but our overall experience could have been better. The ship was lovely, well maintained, comfortable, everything worked, always a bonus. We had a standard balcony room and it was fine, big enough, plenty of storage and we ...

Food Poisoning, Room 6212 creaked

Review for a South America Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

The Celebrity Reflection Transatlantic 2014 cruise spoiled me. The Eclipse in 2019 woke me up. Food poisoning does that. I ate in the Celebrity cafe on the 14th floor. I was treated by the medical staff and once the ship docked in Santiago South America I received further treatment. My cabin 6212 creaked incessantly. This ship does need to be overhauled. The dining room experience was ...

Great itinerary

My husband and I have cruised over a dozen times onboard Celebrity ships. This was our first time on Eclipse. We were in Concierge class and selected the cruise because of the unusual itinerary from Los Angeles along the west coast of Central and South America. To get my primary complaint out of the way . . . from embarkation through the entire cruise, queue management was a problem. I do not ...

Very pleasant overall and a cut above Princess

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

Recently I've mainly cruised Princess because they sail from L.A. so often, so I don't have to fly as I live nearby, and Princess is more "upscale" than the other choices from L.A. I chose Celebrity because I had heard and read positive things about them and they had a rare round trip sailing from L.A. available. I was very impressed overall. The Eclipse is a beautiful ship. I didn't much care ...

We chose to sail on Celebrity Eclipse for my sister's first cruise, and we celebrated her birthday onboard. We chose the Pacific Coast cruise because of the vicinity of the port. We had an amazing cruise. The ship was in fantastic condition, easy to find our way around. Our stateroom was beautiful, and Ray, our cabin attendant, kept it perfectly for us. We had room service every morning ...

We chose thise cruise because it was my sister's first cruise, and she is unable to fly, so we needed a cruise that was round-trip from Los Angeles, and I wanted a cruise that was longer than seven days; this one was nine days. We also wanted one of our ports to be Catalina Island. Celebrity had the cruise that matches both of our wish lists, so we booked it. Then we studied everything we could ...

You can count on Celebrity for a wonderful cruise experience

We pretty much do all our cruising on Celebrity ships. We're at the point in our lives where we don't particularly want to go through the hassles of flying so when we found that we could go round trip out of Los Angeles we were delighted. Embarkation was a breeze. Celebrity has everything very well organized. We had an accessible Sky Suite. For some reason or other the accessible Sky ...

Somethings great and somethings not so good.

The ship remains very nice. We took the Celebrity Eclipse on its initial trans-Atlantic cruise from England to Florida in 2010. The life boat drill was awful. We were crammed into the photo studio and forced to watch a LONG cheesy video that we could not see or hear. The main evening dining was so-so. There were 3 nights I could not eat my meal. Pork chop was so tough I could not ...

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

This was our fifth cruise on Celebrity and our third on the Equinox. We both agreed that the quality of service , the quality of food, and the cleanliness has gone somewhat downhill. The customer service staff seemed disinterested and stern. Even the Future Cruise representative was lackluster. She did make me want to book a future cruise on the ship. The food in the main restaurant , ...
