PRE CRUISE
After a number of cruises across various parts of the world, a cruise to the Baltic/Russia always seemed like the ultimate goal, and thankfully this year we were able to complete that goal on board the stunning Celebrity Silhouette!
Part of the reason for choosing Celebrity is the fact that the ship seemed amazing, we had also been wanting to return to Celebrity after a few ...
This cruise was exactly what we were looking for and we had a wonderful 14 nights in the Baltic. HOWEVER our cabin 2147 on deck 12 at the stern of the ship is directly under the ocean view restaurant (the busiest on the ship) and noise level from the restaurant above is unacceptable especially during the night and in the small hours of the morning when staff(crew) were cleaning and preparing for ...
Leaving from Southampton, we parked in the port which was very convenient although pricey.
Embarkation was smooth but busy. Disembarkation was rather chaotic as there was only one sign on deck 5 pointing the way, which turned out to be the length of the ship and then through the theatre. Wheelchairs used the same ramp as everyone else, which seemed wrong.
The ship was lovely and I preferred ...
This was out first time on a celebrity cruise. It was fantastic, from the wonderful staff , to the beautiful ship , great food and a brilliant itinerary. On arriving at Southampton we parked in the car park only 5 minutes walk to the ship. The cases were swiftly taken on board for us with this we walked in to boarding area and again we were swiftly signed in. We then boarded the ship. We only had ...
This review concerns our cruise aboard the Celebrity Silhouette which in our case was a charter by an Australian tour operator called 'Cruise Co'. The name of the Cruise was 'Bravo' and featured a star studded entertainment lineup from the UK. The fact that it was a Charter, created some issues since it was impossible to complete some requests such as pre-purchase of beverage packages before the ...
We are experienced cruisers, with Elite status at Celebrity. This time we were on Scandinavian and Russian capitals cruise on Celebrity Silhouette, sailing roundtrip from Southampton. The weather was, beyond expectations, sunny and in most places warm enough to enjoy outdoors.
ITINERARY
We stopped at Copenhagen (overnight), Tallinn, St Petersburg (overnight), Helsinki, Stockholm, and ...
This review is about the Scandinavian and Russia Cruise that departed from Southampton on 26th May. I and my husband were already on the ship as we had sailed on the Bravo cruise the week before. That day we had our breakfast with the people who were leaving, and the people we spoke to were very enthusiastic about the Bravo and all the wonderful entertainment. The instructions for us were to ...
This was our first time on Silhouette and we were not disappointed. We have sailed on many other Celebrity Ship and if anything they just get better. Silhouette is very clean and isin good condition.
Our Concierge cabin was fine and our steward always kept it sparkling.
We always choose select dining as we like to meet new people each night rather than the same people each night. On the ...
Wanted to travel from Southampton - no flying. Wanted ports with no tendering. All places visited were really interesting and varied, with St Petersburg being the highlight. We did a 2 day tour with T J Tours which was excellent and included a ride on the underground. We enjoyed the whole cruise, our cabin was clean comfortable and quiet and the food in the restaurant was very good. Embarkation ...
We had high hopes for this cruise, having cruised with Royal we thought this was an upgrade. WRONG, the service was awful from the moment we got on. Don't ask for anything in the restaurant you will be told no and forget asking for a bottle of water with another drink. That is frowned upon. Granted we did speak to the customer services manager and then they let us have a bottle of water with ...
