I have a severely disabled child and booked this last minute ( June ) as it was the only cruise available these school hols with a disabled cabin. I booked 2 cabins the first for me and my 2 boys aged 13 and 14 one of whom is disabled and the second for my eldest girl age 18. Both were balcony cabins and lovely. They were well appointed and clean and up to date. The disabled cabin had automatic ...
This was our first cruise and having done some work on cruise ships I was keen to go on Celebrity having seen how stylish the ships are. We were not let down. The staff, the food, the entertainment and comfort was exemplary. We were even extremely lucky with the weather.
The staff on board were ALL so polite and helpful and their service given to us was first class. The ship is so ...
We have just returned from the Scandinavia and Russia cruise on Celebrity Silhouette. We drove down from Derbyshire the day before embarkation and stayed overnight at the Ibis Hotel which was just 5 minutes away from the cruise terminal. After leaving our car in the designated car park, at 10.45 am, we strolled over to our terminal which was just a short walk away. There was very little ...
Ship was clean and on the whole the staff were friendly, not impressed with the casino staff however as didn't seem to like the fact we weren't 'high rollers' and when we left heard them say 'thank god for that'..!!!!!
Cabin was good but wouldn't recommend more than three people, we were a family of four and it was extremely tight for space.
The overall food and drink were good but what I ...
Ship was very clean in toilet areas The cleaners were very firendly.
Bar staff and pool bar staff generally miserable apart from a couple.
Everywhere lack of seating. If wanted to go for a cofee/tea in one of the lounges couldn't get a seat.
Also same with the bars, stood around trying to grab some chairs.
Food ok in main restaurants, up in the general cafe eating area on deck 14 ...
Enjoyed the cruise destinations & the ship was excellent. 120,000t so plenty of space despite lots of passengers. Facilities were excellent with lots to do.
Staff are excellent, all were cheerful, polite & helpful. Food was of a high standard & I'd say there is no need to pay extra for speciality dining imo. Breakfast is very busy at the buffet so go early to avoid seating ...
What can I say about it? Amazing Ship, Top Crew, Lavish Dining and First Rate Entertainment. Made new friends and spoken to plenty of people from all over the world. Eaten myself silly and drunk myself dizzy and only spent $10.60 on ship. (on top of the $300 on ship spend), we have made new friends and Book face twitterers We have Seen great cities and cultures which will live in our memories. ...
This was our first cruise and we chose it mainly for it's destinations and the good reviews, we were not disappointed.
Firstly, the ship itself is lovely, very clean, well laid out, easily accessible and lots of different activities going on. Always attendants around with hand washing gel.
Embarkation was very smooth, we were onboard within half an hour of arriving at the terminal. ...
We chose this cruise essentially because of St. Petersburg, together with a convenient time slot. I have read countless reviews of this cruise, and all I can say is that I'm really glad I didn't have to sit with some of these people at dinner. Moan, moan, moan.
It's a ship, it's nothing short of as miracle, it works at all, having to cater for just under 3,000 different personalities and ...
This was a fantastic itinerary and all of the ports were lovely. Silhouette is a great ship with a variety of spaces to suit every taste and mood. Our favourite spots were the Martini Bar, the comfy sofa beds in the shade on the pool deck and Cafe al Bacio on deck 5.
Embarkation and Disembarkation were very smooth. We were on board within half an hour of parking the car right by the terminal ...
