First and last time on Celebrity

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Infinity

Cruise had a great itinerary and we thought Celebrity was a step up from our traditional RCL cruises. The ship Infinity was in rough shape. Cabin was noisy, we were woken many morning s at 6 am from crew making noise above us. AC and heat were difficult to control Day 2 - The ship had severe problems with power on the 2nd day causing them to shut the ship down for about 6 hours for repair. ...

Great Itinerary, Poor Service

This is our first time cruising with Celebrity and we chose this cruise line after reading the great reviews and because of the itinerary. But this cruise was different from what we were expecting. The positives: Embarkation and disembarkation, entertainment, and cleanliness throughout the ship. The negatives: As soon as we were settled, we wanted to see the ship and get familiar with it. ...

Celebrity Starting to Lose It's Edge

This is my 6th cruise on X. Ports of call all excellent - very nice having small-fee shuttle service provided by Celebrity to city center was great. Ship is old, tired, broken and in desperate need of the impending drydock. Team is short staffed and tired - this is typical for post-pandemic cruising. We were in an Aquaclass A2 cabin - fairly dated, some broken parts and some downright ...

We chose this cruise because of the destinations. We chose Celebrity because it was recommended by our friend and travel agent. We have been on 20 or more cruises collectively, but never on Celebrity. May never go on Celebrity again. The onboarding process was great! 5 stars All the food was really good. We visited all 3 specialty dining restaurants. They were good as well. 4 stars The ...

NOT MUCH TO LIKE

I chose this cruise as my first Transatlantic crossing and first time on Celebrity. I've been on 59 other cruises, so I consider myself well versed and know what I'm looking for in a cruise. It's easier to list my LIKES and DISLIKES rather than ramble on so here it is: LIKES 1) Small ship.2000 passengers 2) Friendly working staff members 3) Nightlight in bathroom 4) No towel ...

We use transatlantic cruise ship repositionings as transport to avoid air travel so our views may not be generally applicable. Ship-In generally good condition for age but decoration and finishes a little tired and dated. Allocation of space could be improved as some facilities are overcrowded whilst others are barely used Food- well below standard expected, A Blu cabin and dining package are ...

Celebrity Infinity British Isles - Less Than Expected

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Celebrity Infinity

After a superb experience cruising the Mediterranean last year aboard the Celebrity Silhouette, we took our daughters on a cruise around the British Isles this summer on the Celebrity Infinity, hoping for a similar experience. Sadly, our experience aboard the Infinity did not meet our expectations. The cruise embarked from the port of Harwich, approximately a 2-hour drive from London. We opted ...

Iceland & Fjord cruise

On the whole we didn't have a very good experience on this ship. My wife and I are both pensioners but we still like a bit of life. Most lounges were quite comfortable but the entertainment was quite boring. I suppose we are used to having karaoke nights and maybe singalongs with Thomsons or Princess. The shows we saw were poor compared to Thomson's. Also not a lot to do for us on the ship. These ...

Why it is dangerous to sail the Infinity?

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Celebrity Infinity

User Avatar

It is dangerous to advertise with a fine-sounding slogan ... It's dangerous if a cruise company does not keep its marketing pledges and thus attracts its guests with empty promises of a ship. "Modern Luxury" is known to be the slogan of Celebrity Cruises, and that´s what it was from the beginning to the end of our last cruise on the Eclipse: We felt well-cared in every dimension. And then we ...

Disappointed in Celebrity

There were four adults in our party, staying in adjoining balcony staterooms (7192, 7194), in Concierge class. We all have cruised before on several other cruise lines, and so are familiar with the environment. Overall: The onboard experience was a disappointment. There were too many issues that arose that should not have arisen, and when they did they were either ignored or not handled well by ...
