Cruise Review: Celebrity Infinity - Pacific Coastal Sept 2nd 2018: concierge class stateroom 8120 and 8118. This was my second cruise in recent years and I booked with my Mom, but, with concerns of privacy and having our own space, we booked adjoining cabins at the solo fare for each, we had thought my dad or one of my friends might join in, but, their schedules did not allow it this time.
Why ...
I chose this cruise because I had never been to Alaska before. It was also my first cruise, and I had heard fantastic things about Celebrity. I enjoyed the ports of Juneau and Ketchikan, and the choice of excursions that were provided in each port. Celebrity was very organized in arranging the excursions and ensuring we maximized our time out in port. Staff and workers were very professional and ...
We just completed the seven-day Hubbard Glacier Cruise, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The itinerary was excellent, and we were very fortunate to have great weather. I’d highly recommend it as a quiet respite from hot summer weather in the Lower 48.
Embarkation and disembarkation in Vancouver were seamless. I’d highly recommend spending some time in Vancouver before or after the cruise, as it ...
This cruise on Celebrity Infinity was part of a package arranged to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint. Having been on Celebrity Eclipse in the Caribbean in 2017 we expected a really nice ship and the Infinity lived up to our expectations. Everything was first class from the silky smooth check-in, our cabin to the entertainment. The unrestricted views from cabin were ...
Getting on and off at beginning of our cruise was a dream...Got on board by 11am and sunbathing in rare Vancouver heat on deck (?) by 11.30am.
So - life drill was a pain, it was very hot in our area and standing only, but I suppose it replicated real life possibility.
Cabin 9070 in midships suffered from overhang and some obstruction from our balcony but it wasn't the end of the world. Our ...
We bolted this cruise on to a holiday to Canada Rockies and BC. WE chose Celebrity because it gave the better deal compared to other Alaska 7 day cruises. Checking in was fine but immigtation seemed to take a long time. Once eventually on board the first contact witrh a cruise member of staff was about drinks packages which was rather annoying as all we wanted to do was setlle in and look around ...
We wanted to explore Alaska and thought this itinerary was superior to that offered by the other companies. We were not disappointed by the itinerary and we were very fortunate with the weather which was glorious.
Our ocean view cabin on deck 2 was absolutely fine.We thought the food was very good.It was better than our previous cruises with NCL.We did not visit the speciality restaurants but ...
We normally cruise on smaller ships, this was our second cruise on a Celebrity ship, and the first time for the friends that accompanied us. We had a smooth embarkation. However, it took a long time for our bags to reach our room – late afternoon even though we arrived at 11:00am.
We chose Aqua Class for this 7 day Alaska cruise while our friends went Concierge. The cabins were identical, ...
This was our first cruise and unfortunately we have decided it just isn't for us. We should have maybe started with a cruise around the Mediterranean first, stopping off somewhere everyday but as we wanted to see Alaska we decided to do it this way. As we were at sea so much we felt trapped. There were abundant things to do but most of them involved spending even more money, e.g. Art and Jewellery ...
We picked this cruise for 2 reasons. First, we really enjoyed our first Celebrity Cruise on the Solstice (Alaska-Tracy Arm Fjord) in 2017, after 4 prior cruises on different lines. Second, we liked the itinerary with 10 nights and only 2 days at sea.
Ship: We were apprehensive that this older Infinity might be disappointing. However, we found this "Solsticized" ship to actually be nicer ...
