Great ship to relax on

We chose this cruise because it traversed the Panama Canal. This was so interesting and fun. I did not like the ports before the canal and wish that week was spent somewhere else. The canal experience made it worth it all. There were several talks in the theater over several days that explained everything about the canal and history around it all. We went through the old canal and not the ...

Celebrity is NOT a step up from RCL!

The ship is in bad need of a complete overhaul. We ran on one engine most of our 16 day cruise as the other engine blew on previous cruise. Our ports of call, with the exception of Panama Canal and Cayman Islands, were awful. We had a really bad experience on a ship excursion beach trip in Manta Ecuador. Everyone on the trip complained but they would only refund 50% of the cost of the trip even ...

Disappointing Panama Canal crossing on cruise with many sea days

The Infinity is a comfortable ship with a relaxing atmosphere. We didn't experience the status of the ship as being in need of an overhaul (as some other reviewers thought). The crossing of the canal was a bit of a disappointment. Good views of the proceedings were hard to get because of big masses (which of course was to be expected). Moreover the activities are that slow that it is not as ...

We chose this cruise because of the inclusion of the Panama Canal transit in the itinerary. For that reason alone it was worth the travel and cost. The ship is looking tired. The policy of making almost everything an extra cost is off-putting. The specialist restaurants seemed to offer little for the additional cost. The internet package is outrageously expensive. We have 'gratuities paid' except ...

Celebrity Standards have declined

This cruise to South America is not the usual popular destination as the area is prone to bad weather and high seas. That was what attracted me to the destination. I selected Celebrity as in the past my culinary experience was very good. This trip however, the prepared paella more resembled saffron rice with seafood thrown in. Food is overall good just not as good as on previous trips. The ...

This cruise was chosen to spend some valued time with good friends. This was the second time traveling through the Panama Canel . The first time it was with the Holland America Zuiderman. The family balcony on the Infinity was long with a small setting room in front of the bedroom which made the bedroom to be dark. The steward keep the room somewhat clean but he was always helpful when asked ...

Wonderful trip, old ship

I love the time away on the cruise through the Panama Canal. And seeing the new canal was very interesting. The ports were interesting, learned about Tequila and coffee in 2 of the ports, and in Colon watched ships going through the canal. We ate dinner in the main dining room. The food was generally great, except for some of the vegetarian dishes. the Spa cafe was a disappointment. Food ...

Great cruise in spite of terrible condition of ship

The food and beverage experience on this ship was perhaps the best we have ever had on any cruise, however, the ship is badly in need of a major refurbishment. Cabin furniture and many public areas are looking very tired. Having said that, the crew was almost universally friendly, attentive and wanting to make our cruise experience better. The ports were generally excellent with the exception of ...

Concierge Class was a good choice

We chose this cruise for the itinerary. It was our second cruise on a Celebrity Ship and this far exceeded our first experience. We definitely feel the additional charge for Concierge class is worth it. We had a very comfortable size balcony cabin and our cabin steward "Richard" was the best we have ever experienced on any cruise. Not only did he keep our cabin spotless but attended to any ...
