The ship was old BUT!!!!

We are on Princes Cruise lines most of the time, but our travel agent gave us a special deal on Celebrity. I won't give away the particulars but is was a special up grade. The room was a little smaller than we where use too, but it was neat and clean. We had a problem with a lumpy bed but our steward placed a foam cover and it worked perfect. The ship was older but the charm was still present ...

We had done the Panama Canal cruise about 10 years ago, and felt the need to see the wondrous Canal again—especially since there were some ports on this cruise we’d not visited before. Overall, Infinity did a good job of embarkation, disembarkation, port visits (including tendering) and offering comprehensive narration of the cruise through the canal. Everything went very smoothly, and staff ...

Another Great Celebrity Cruise

We chose this cruise for the itinerary. Our other cruises were port intensive so we were not sure about the many sea days but due to the route we had no choice. Our cabin was as expected and our attendant was exceptional. The food in the MDR was very good, we had no complaints. We chose anytime dining and were seated with the same staff for most of the dinners which was great because they were ...

Disaster from the start

The itinerary was, on the face of it very appealing. But apart from Costa Rica and the two stops in Mexico the rest were a waste of time. The only saving grace being the Panama Canal experience. The ship itself was a complete disaster, delays boarding, luggage held until late at night, stateroom filthy and not prepared. This ship should never have sailed after significant problems on the previous ...

First & Last Time on Celebrity

We usually cruise with RCCL, but they weren't going through the Panama Canal when we booked this. For the most part, the employees were very good...in some places, they were excellent, especially on Deck 5 at Cafe al Bacio. We had friends cruising with us, who unfortunately had to leave for medical reasons halfway through the cruise. We were told by 'Guest Services' that we HAD to pack up their ...

Worst first day ever, but then things were good

We are long time Celebrity cruisers, and this was our worst embarkation day ever. We had received an email several days before cruising telling us that departure would be delayed for a couple of hours because of intestinal illness on the previous cruise and they needed to sanitize the ship The delay was longer than two hours and there was chaos from the terminal to the restaurants and in between. ...

Very disappointing

We chose this ship because it was cruising through the Panama Canal. First of all our time to embark was delayed by 2 hours. When we arrived at the port we sat in a large warehouse for over another 2 hours. The celebrity staff were not informing us of why everything was delayed and people were very upset. When we got on the ship our bathrooms were not working for the first night. Our bedroom ...

Probably our last cruise because of this disaster

We boarded in San Diego after arriving a day early and staying at the Hotel across the street. The ship didn't arrive until noon as we watched people with baggage arriving at the the cruise terminal from 9 am on. Thanks to the Hotel they let us stay in the room until 1 pm. We took a hotel bus over to the cruise terminal and proceeded to enter the stuffed terminal and continued to walk through ...

Embarkation from San Diego was very disorganized. Very pretty ship and entertainment was great. Staff not very welcoming. Food poor. In the cafe hot food was generally cool to cold. They ran out of ice tea at one lunch. No ketchup at breakfast. No ice cream sauces one day. Best to order made to order if you want hot food. Need to look for eating utensils and search for ...

Incredible Staff Made Up for a Ship That's a Little Worn

The Panama Canal has always been a bucket list item for my wife and I. When two couples, we often cruise with called to say they had booked it we were in. The itinerary included Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama (of course) and Colombia, all places we'd never seen so we couldn't wait. The ship sailed from San Diego, a town I've always enjoyed so we decided to go out 3 nights ahead of our sail ...
