Exceeded expectations!

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Infinity

Firstly let me say that I read over 100 reviews of Infinity before the cruise. The average score, below 3 out of 5 with many scoring it 1, made it difficult to predict how enjoyable this cruise would be. This was my first Celebrity cruise although my wife & daughter sailed on Equinox about 12 yrs ago. For us the biggest plusses on this cruise were the staff, the entertainment & the ...

A wonderfully relaxing vacation

We ended up booking this cruise because the opportunity to travel to Barcelona, other parts of Spain and also Casablanca was very appealing. We were also looking for a cruise at this time of year and this was the most interesting itinerary we could find. In our opinion Celebrity lived up to its billing as a premier cruise line. The service we received was excellent. We enjoyed the dining ...

As title took 2 1/2 hours to get though customs, and this is not the first time, so I will never cruise on any ship from Barcelona again. Going the other way trying to get out of Barcelona wasn't much better only took 1 1/2 hours so be carful. The ship great I like that size of ship 2500 / 3500 people is big enough for us, cabin first time very close to lifts never heard a thing. Fastest we have ...

Fabulous Family Festive Season Cruise

Our family cruise over the festive season had had to be cancelled three times because of the tragic pandemic. The cruise was probably the last occasion we could get our immediate family of three generations together for an extended vacation so there was much excitement when we finally set foot on board after all the disappointments over the previous three years. We nevertheless approached ...

Fantastic itinerary and great service

The itinerary was the main draw for booking this cruise. We were not disappointed. For the most part, port to city transportation was explained in advance and easy to understand. The ship does feel a little older and worn with some minor maintenance issues to be addressed. We appreciated the high-quality food in both the main dining room and the buffet. The cruise didn’t feel full, and we ...

The ports in Morocco attracted me as we had never been anywhere like that before. The shore excursions did not meet our needs so we went elsewhere. The cabin steward did not seem to be on the same ship with us as she seemed to have no idea what was expected of her. The food in the MDR was far below standard. I had trouble fining something on the menu that I wanted to eat many nights. The ...

Outstanding food and staff on the Infinity

Had one night in Barcelona pre cruise and arrived at the ship at our assigned time of 12.30pm. Luggage taken from us and then we were immediately checked in and on board in five minutes. The last time we were on Infinity was in 2016 and yes, she is a little jaded in places now like the pool changing room where there were no locker keys and broken locks on toilet doors but generally we found her to ...

We chose this for the itinerary to see more of Spain and Portugal. Infinity is an older ship but we're ok with that. Staff were all excellent. Entertainment was mixed. Will Martin was the highlight and performed on two nights. The female violinist was good. We walked out of the male violinist. We also walked out of the magician/comedian who did old routines and wasn't funny. The entertainment crew ...

Lovely Cruise!

Infinity was the only ship visiting the ports we wanted to explore. It was a wonderful cruise to discover Spain and Portugal and much better than the train or flying. For an older ship, Infinity is still lovely! Yes - she needs to be refurbished - but I love the older style. Would hate to see them change to a sleek, modern decor. We stayed in a Celebrity Suite (which we loved) and enjoyed all ...

Celebrity Infinity - Spain and Portugal

The Celebrity Infinity is an older ship but is maintained well and the cleaning staff are first rate. Stateroom: we had a prime oceanview cabin. We had a super bargain rate for an inside cabin including classic drinks, wifi and onboard credit, so we took the chance and bid for an upgrade which was accepted - $160 pp. Our room was kept spotless. The furnishings were a bit worn but clean. We had ...
