Infinity South America

Review for a South America Cruise on Celebrity Infinity

We took this cruise for the South America itinerary (Buenos Aires to Valparaiso). It has been several years since we have been on a Celebrity cruise. All in all, we had a wonderful trip. There were some negatives. The ship is tired and needs a lot of maintenance. When we arrived in our balcony stateroom, there was a light bulb burned out, a broken drawer in the closet and the safe would not ...

Reconsidering Our Loyalty to the Celebrity Brand After This

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary, now having visited all seven continents. We are glad we did it. The ports and scenic cruising were outstanding and memorable but Celebrity Infinity disappointed us in so many ways that we are reconsidering taking any future cruises on them. At the very least we’ll never again pay extra for Aqua Class which we very much enjoyed and felt was a good ...

Amazing itinerary, awful service

Antarctica was a dream of mine, but I wish I had booked with another company. Celebrity knew we were 3 adults and they intended to put me on a sofa for a small child. I couldn't sleep the first night. Guest Relations said they couldn't fix it that night and nobody apologized for the awful night I spent. The next morning I stayed in Guest Relations and didn't move for two hours until they told me ...

We chose this cruise for the ship and the itinerary. Going into we knew she was old, however five months prior we were on the Infinity for a seven days cruise. It was excellent. So we went into it with all positives. Mistake. From no varletry in food nor wine to short staff. Note this was the first ship we used in 2004 with Celebrity. The food and service then was excellent. After 19 years my ...

This was a fantastic itinerary. antarctica. warning it is a bunch of sea days. even for us. glad we did not do the adventure ships. they really got clobbered by weather. it was cold and windy. and being on a big ship was perfect. we had a veranda. a must for this. of the four trips celebrity made to antarctica in 2023 we had the all time best trip. drake was like glass. no clouds. ...

This was our first celebrity cruise and we choose this ship because of the ports of call and length of scenic cruising. The ports of call were good and we hit every port with mostly good weather. Our scenic cruising was equally as good with weather and ample time in paradise bay etc. We were able to sail around Cape horn in gorgeous sunlight. Falklands islands was beautiful etc. However for ...

First Cruise on Celebrity (from Princess Elites)

My husband and I booked our first cruise with Celebrity because of the nice round-trip itinerary from Buenos Aires, most especially the scenic cruising in Antarctica. We did a South American cruise on Princess ten years ago in 2013, without Antarctica, when we also missed the Falkland Islands. We both have Elite status with Princess so that is our primary frame of reference, although our very ...

First off, let me say I am a somewhat experienced cruiser who has been sailing since 1998 on various cruise lines( 25 total trips), including Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, MSC and Celebrity. I have sailed 5 times with Celebrity, and have 4 more trips booked at the moment. The Infinity was in the poorest condition of any CCL ship I have sailed on. This ship really shows her age. Rust ...

Celebrity Cruise let me down

My husband and I chose this cruise because we wanted to see Antarctica and had never been to South America. We were excited to experience a new continent in the comfort of a cruise line that we had sailed on pre-Covid. We were very disappointed. The cruise line has really gone down hill in many ways. The ship seemed old and rust spots were visible. The food at the buffet was limited and ...

Older ship fine destination

Review for a South America Cruise on Celebrity Infinity

It is understandable why they send an older ship to Antarctica, people are looking for that specific destination. It was a big disappointment dealing with Celebrity before the cruise: many cancellations and re-bookings of services and excursions with significant loss of funds when converting CAD to USD and back. E-mails were not answered, phone calls as well, after 2-3 hours waiting on hold, ...
