Fun on board

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Celebrity Infinity

Perhaps the significant thing is that there is something for everyone young or old. No-one needs to suffer boredom. There were outside activities on the top with food available for those who did not want to stir and there were games on the side decks. Seating or lounging was available everywhere and although the ship was extremely busy we were never stuck for room. We used the Trellis Dining Room ...

We went on the Celebrity Infinity for a round trip Alaska cruise departing from Vancouver, BC on August 5th, 2018. We went on the trip with me, my wife, our 16 month old son, and extended family. It was a family reunion trip, which seems to work well on cruises since there's something to do for everyone and it's easy to find space to get together as a family. First off I need to say that the ...

We read reviews prior to booking in January for trip to Alaska on Celebrity and were expecting more. Our trip was average at best and food was not as good as our previous cruise on Royal Caribbean. Weather was not good except for our day in Ketchikan on this trip but nothing we do about that. We booked all of our excursions ourselves instead of through cruise line which worked our well and was ...

Excellent in every way

This was my first ever cruise and everything good I heard about cruising was surpassed and everything bad I heard about cruising was never going to happen on the celebrity infinity. We chose aqua class, prepaid drinks and gratuities. But the staff were so good so friendly and so knowledgable we chose to tip generously where we thought it appropriate which to be fair was most of the time. ...

Such a lovely way to see Alaska

We choose this cruise because my parents and some friends had traveled with Celebrity before and really enjoyed it. Our previous experiences had been Carnival and Disney. This was definitely on a par with Disney (Carnival was fun, but not fancy). We chose to get an Aqua-Class stateroom and were definitely glad we did, if only because of how much of the embarkation line we got to skip! The room ...

Aging ship, mixed view on food, very noisy

The Infinity is an old ship and needs updating. Our cabin was well appointed and fairly comfortable. Dining in the Blu Restaurant was excellent with excellent service. The Oceanview Café was at best average. A typical "caf". Salad bar was good, bread and cheese good, breakfasts ok, lunch disappointing with fairly average food. There are activities all the time such that trying to find some ...

Our family of five went to Alaska from Vancouver this summer on the Celebrity Infinity. We didn't explore Vancouver before or after the cruise due to us only living one hour away from the port. I did my homework and honestly was a bit concerned about many reviews saying this ship was old and worn out. The moment we stepped on board I got that 'Celebrity' feeling with the complimentary ...

cabin and cleaner where brillant, pity about the lack of quaility of food and waiter staff,as for ships senior staff assistance to the lack and tastelss food selection , NO One wanted to know or care. Activities on board were to say the least were pathetic as very little chices unless one likes swimming real. The entire cruise all the celebrity was intent on was selling, selling, selling to ...

I chose this cruise because I had never been to Alaska before. It was also my first cruise, and I had heard fantastic things about Celebrity. I enjoyed the ports of Juneau and Ketchikan, and the choice of excursions that were provided in each port. Celebrity was very organized in arranging the excursions and ensuring we maximized our time out in port. Staff and workers were very professional and ...
