I’d been on this ship in Nov ‘19 and loved every moment so when the opportunity to do another cruise on it this year was offered back then, I paid my deposit. The ship is supposed to be safe, full vaccinated passengers and crew. Passengers are expected to test negative before boarding. Their staff was apparently tested back in Vancouver 11 days earlier. The ship had Covid cases on board ...
Cruising from Hawaii back to Australia via Tahiti and New Zealand and not having to fly, seemed like a wonderfully relaxing holiday... But then there was norovirus! I think many more cases than were officially reported. I was an unlucky one who had to be wheeled down to to doctor at 3.30am! I have never been so violently ill in my life. My husband who felt quite unwell a few days later but ...
Nothing good to say about the ship, food, entertainment, service or staff ! Would give a negative rating if I could. Had to literally wipe out my drawer to put my clothes in on day one, full of dirt and hair. Service was poor, food was lousy, staff unfriendly. Had previously been on a Royal Carribean cruise in the past and the ship was beautiful, the service was wonderful and the food was great, ...
Celebrity dropped the ball on Solstice. We've cruised with Celebrity before and were quite happy but this cruise left us disappointed and we will not travel with them again.
The buffet had the same food everyday for lunch and dinner, something in red sauce and something in brown sauce. The formal dining room was just as bad, food cold and dry and no vegetables unless you ask for them. ...
Having done 20 cruises went on a celebrity cruise in April for the first time and will certainly be the last no Laundrette on board, could not bring a travelling iron on-board. Drinks very expensive $12 for a small glass of house wine ( £8 ) had to pay for fresh orange juice. At breakfast. Room service diabolical. First island by tender took nearly 3hours to get off ship, no coordination ...
As this was our 2nd cruise we where looking forward to enjoying our trip, the first on Celebrity Century was great, but unfortunately this was POOR when you compare the 2 cruises. We upgraded from Veranda Stateroom to Concierge Veranda Stateroom our room was of a poor standard, curtains coming of the rails, handles coming off the doors, it was eventually rectified but unfortunately a little too ...
After a wonderful experience on the Solstice last year we booked - at more money per day - on the Millennium from Ensanada to Hawaii and then on to Sydney.
What a disappointment and its not the ship. The Cruise Director was on an ego trip, he failed to properly direct his staff and only wanted to tell everybody that they were having a good time
we had a small issue which , frankly he wasn't ...
WE boarded ship 3 hours late due to Noro virus on previous leg of the repositioning cruise. We knew of the delay thru CC, X never notified us even though many were notified by X up to 3 different ways of the late boarding. We didn't get to our rooms until 5:30. X said it was due to ship cleaning, but we also were told that previous leg had major luggage and immigration problems on the Sydney ...
Our first Celebrity cruise and we were delighted because we got such a great deal on the cruise itself and the airfare. So it was a no-brainer when we decided to visit beautiful Hawaii and check it off the old bucket list. We flew from New York the day of the boarding (it was a good flight but long) we finally arrived at the port around 4:00 in the afternoon and we were aware of the issues the ...
Celebrity Solstice -- 2 out of 6 rating. No organisation/communication on this ship.
They had norovirus on the ship on the Australian leg, but did not even advise the guests on board at the time.
Guest relations were not consistent with their information.
No passenger booklets/info in rooms
No drink menus until 2nd last day, so missed out on so many potentially nice drinks in bars and ...
