We started off the trip a few days early by arriving in Honolulu by arriving on Saturday to board on Monday. The day we arrived the weather pretty great with a little cloud coverage. That afternoon/evening we checked the street fair and Jeff Goldblum and his jazz band. Sunday we did Pearl Harbor (a.m.) and a Luau (p.m.) that evening.
Monday we boarded the ship which turned into a two day ...
After 2 sailings on the Edge, it was such a treat returning to a Solstice class ship.
Until experiencing “The Future” it wasn’t clear just how great “The Past” really is.
So many little things like the convenience of pivoting TV’s in your room, a real balcony, shower jets that are actually useful rather than decorative, no cheap pump bottles in the shower for soap and shampoo, never really ...
We chose the transpacific cruise because of the ports and Celebrity Solstice because of reviews and recommendations. Very pleased we went Aqua class as the food and service in Blu restaurant was outstanding, especially for anyone with special dietary requirements. By comparison, the main dining room was mediocre, but the buffet was better than expected. The Spa cafe was also good for light ...
Hawaii Celebrity Solstice review
April 29 - May 11, 2018
We had a enjoyable cruise despite some bumps along the road.
We embarked in Honolulu. The lines were short but the woman we had checking us in just couldn't get it together. We stood waiting for her to check us in. It took 30 minutes. We were not happy with that but couldn't do anything about it. Finally, we got on board. ...

A cruise ship is a small city, and 3/4 of the people are all living in the same hotel (the other 1/4 are crew, and live on the lower decks). Depending on what you've reserved (a room versus a suite, a window versus a balcony), it's a hotel life. Attendants make your bed and change your towels, space is at a premium, there's a small safe in your closet, and the mini-bar has a few drinks and snacks ...
Cabin: Cabin 9191, an outside balcony on the port side, had plenty of room and the most well-designed bathroom we’ve seen on a cruise ship, with more storage space than we needed and a shower big enough that you could actually pick up a dropped bar of soap. There was some low-level vibration whenever the ship was in motion, but not enough to bother us.
Dining: We ate twice at each of the ...
We always wanted to do this cruise and visit Hawaii.
Unfortunately our time in Hawaii of 5 days was not enough time, you definitely need a full week or more. Hawaii is great. The weather was great and so was our accomodation at the Hilton Embassy Suites.
Celebrity Cruises are great as was this one. The service and staff are amazing and very friendly. No faults there.
However I will say ...
I think this itinerary was mis-named. For me, South Pacific Treasures would have been more accurate, because it was traversing the South Pacific ocean that was the purpose of this cruise, with a total of 11 sea days. One day we were treated to 4-5 meter waves, another day 2 meter waves, another day it was a pacific ocean, smooth as a lake. Overnight of Oct. 5, we were treated to a beautiful ...
Choose this cruise to return to Hawaii after 33 years. We are from the east coast, so we thought it would be a good way to get accustomed to the time change to Hawaii (it was). With five plus sea days to start out, it was relaxing, but everyone was getting a bit stir crazy. Since it was late in the season for Vancouver, the first few days were cloudy and cool. The remaining sea days were sunny and ...
