Let’s start with the ambiance ….utterly amazing walking onto the boat you get the feel of class and royalty with 1st class treatment the boarding process you can’t avoid but from the second you walk onto the boat you are nothing short of amazed at every level of the ship from the Cafe al Bacio to the Gelateria to Specialty Dining. Being mid ship is pure beauty while on board and the atmosphere ...
I have read a review by Msglodenhair and agree with most of her review of her on board experience, of the ship and the captain and crew.
However prior to embarkation, I had attempted to register on the Celebrity email log on pages that my wife was Gluten intolerant and that she would need a Gluten free diet. Having cruised in the Princess and P & O lines, that was a simple option to highlight ...
We chose this cruise as we had previously sailed with Celebrity in 2018 and were very impressed with the ship, facilities and the food. We also wanted the opportunity to sample The countries in the agenda.
Firstly the ship and amenities were good. The only issue with the facilities was the open air cinema was on the only deck in the ship that did not have a lift so having a mobility issue was ...
We like New Zealand and decided that it would be a good way to go for a short cruise which started in Auckland and finished in Sydney. One of the selling points was that the ship was coming back to Sydney via Eden on the south Coast of NSW..
On the morning of embarkation in Auckland it was a fairly long process because of the corona virus scare - everyone had to have their temperature taken.. ...
For it being a revolutionized ship on it's second cruise, I was disappointed to see the unfinished patches on the pool deck, the broken elevator all cruise, the sloppy veranda rail varnish job, and the strange decor.
Also thought the main dining and buffet food were sub-par. Best food we had on ship was at the Lawn Club Grill and we ate there 4 times because of menu selection in main dining. ...
This was a dud of a cruise. Too many old people, wrong age range for us, no energy. Bad music, bad entertainment, non existent cruise director. The shore excursions did not do what was advertised, one was canceled. We will be reluctant to go with celebrity again and will not book tours through the ship.
The highlight of the trip was our dining room waiter and wine steward. Great service ...
We chose this cruise for price and to experience Celebrity. In addition, Qsine (a specialty restaurant featuring "Le Petit Chef") was a major draw. Qsine -the specialty restaurant - was absolutely fantastic and highly recommended.
The Oceanview Cafe buffet was decent, with some hits and some misses, but the quality of the food was high and enjoyable. Service there and in the main dining room ...
I was on the Equinox 2 years ago. There are things that have changed since then. So I'm going to talk about the Pro's and the Con's.
Con's
>The food in the main dining rooms and the Oceanview Cafe has really dropped in quality. I remember there being a far better selection in the Oceanview when I was on this ship in 2018. Used to love coming to the dining room for lunch when not in port. ...
Good ship for music cruise. Mold and mildew smell in our bathroom nauseating. Level 8. Concierge class not worth extra money. Breakfast buffet awful except for made to order omlets. Best dinner food was pasta, by far. Tried two specialty restuarants. Unless you are really famished...not really worth the price. Plus the offer of buy one get one free did not apply if you booked specialty restaurants ...
We chose this cruise for Southern Caribbean itinerary and we were going with neighbors. We did a B2B so we stayed on it an extra week. We were anxious to go on this ship after the refit and the reviews for good. Our expectations must have been too high because it did not compare at all to the Reflection we were on 2 years ago. There was no library and no place to play cards and games. The food ...
