This is our 2nd cruise with Celebrity, having cruised from Sydney to Honolulu in April of 2016 on board the Solstice. We knew that the Constellation was a older ship, and did have some reservations about going on a older and smaller ship, but it did have a couple of refits over the past few years, most recently in May of 2017, so we hope it was up to the Solstice class standard. We need not have worried. Other than a few areas of rust, and a little paint overspray in areas, the ship was very clean, especially our stateroom, which was immaculate. It was Concierge Class on deck 9 (9141), and really looked brand new. Our stateroom attendant (Sidney) was excellent. He couldn't do enough for you. Even with tips being included in the fare we paid, we gave him extra anyway. He deserved it. Every day before 4pm we would have an ice bucket with sparkling wine delivered, without even asking! I thought we just received a welcome bottle with Concierge Class, but we received a bottle everyday... I suppose it all goes down to how you treat and respect the staff... We started our holiday in Dubai, so had transport down to Abu Dhabi on the day of embarkation. While the terminal in Abu Dhabi was a bit chaotic, with the many questions about India Visa's, we got on board after about 1 hour. Our bags arrived at our stateroom within 30 minutes, although others in our party (we had 8 in 4 Concierge Class rooms in a row) had to wait 2-3 hours before their bags arrived. We had the premium drinks package for all, and also a 3 specialty restaurant package. Tuscan Grill, Sushi on 5, and QSine were all exceptional. Food excellent, and the service outstanding. We found a wine really to our liking in Tuscan Grill, and when I asked for it in the MDR, they especially went up to Tuscan Grill to bring a few bottle’s down. From then on, whenever we dined in the MDR, they brought us the wine, to the point where our favorite sommelier (Lawrence) ensured that bottles were brought down early and chilled, so they were ready for us each evening. Food in the MDR was very good as well, just not as good as the specialty restaurants. Breakfast and lunch were mainly in the Ocenview Cafe, which was good, but not great. Not a lot of variety, but some days were great - there was whole suckling pig for lunch one day which was divine. Only had dinner once there and it was disappointing. The entertainment was good, but I must admit, we only got to half the evening shows due to timing and having a relaxing dinner a few of the nights. Highlight was the violinist, who was amazing. Can’t remember her name. She had an electric violin and she could really play! All the other performers were very good, but she stood out. Ports were ok, but nothing to really rave about. Oman landscape spectacular, but city itself not too much to see other than the Palace, Mosque and Souk. All done easily in the time we had. Goa was what I expected of India, a bit dirty, chaotic, interesting sights and sounds, produce markets etc… Goa was my favourite stop. Mumbai – never have seen worse pollution, either in the sea, land, or air. The airbourne particles were so thick that even after only 36 hours the ship had a fine layer of soot on all outdoor surfaces. Not a highlight… All in all, a great trip, and the cruise itself was more that we hoped for, and in my opinion, the service was slightly better than on the Solstice last year. Our entire travelling party enjoyed the Constellation so much we booked again for next year while onboard. Read Less

The best part for me was the drinking package and service I received. The food was perfect. I loved the fresh salads, always fresh fruit, many choices for lunch and dinner. Just returned from the Arabian Sea Adventure on Celebrity Constellation. Have to say we were a bit worried by all the reviews after we had booked and many said the ship was tired and well worn. Well, I do not know which part they were looking at, but we found it to be wonderful everywhere. The beautiful coordinated furniture, comfy chairs and multiple lounge areas were superb. (so often there is no where to sit on a cruise ship and coffee shops etc are so full you end up back in your cabin!) We would recommend Celebrity to anyone who wants a truly wonderful ship; fantastic staff; superb food and great staterooms to book with Celebrity. We have not been on other ships in the Celebrity fleet, but will certainly have Celebrity on the top of our future cruise company list before booking elsewhere. (NB: We are not first timers - we have cruised with many other companies and Celebrity certainly comes top with us). The food was exceptional in every area. The Buffet food was great with variety and really good quality food. This was unfortunately marred by seeing other guests who ate wearing just a vest - dreadful; the other restaurants were stunning and it was lovely to have the 'chique' nights too. As a Sky Suite passenger, we were fortunate enough to eat in Lumiere most of the time, which was exceptional in every detail. Plus having Michaels lounge as a little hideaway was truly brilliant. Nadia and her team really made every day a wonderful experience. Read Less

Our family just returned from a 6-Day Caribbean sailing on the Reflection. This is our 5th cruise on the Reflection, which is one of my favorite ships. I also made a video tour of the ship, if anyone is interested in more details: https://youtu.be/m-h2WBtvQsI Cabin We had a balcony cabin on Deck 7. Cabin is identical to oceanview cabins except for the balcony. Sofa and trundle bed serve as beds for 3rd/4th passenger in the cabin. Lots of storage space, balcony is good size. Even with 4 in the cabin we never felt too tight. Dining Room: Stunning design of the Opus dining room, very light and airy with lots of table options. We had assigned seating at 6pm. Our servers were amazing! We asked them to have some food ready for the kids as soon as we arrived each night and they were happy to comply. Always brought us extra appetizers or desserts to try. Food is top-notch, lots of choices each night, did not have a bad meal. Oceanview Cafe (Buffet): Very spacious, lots of seating, nice design. Food stations are well designed and separated from each other so there are virtually no lines. Food was just OK. There were lots of choices but they were pretty much the same each day. Now the buffet is open until 1am each night if you need anything late at night. Entertainment: Cruise director Maarten was super funny, one of the best we have ever had. They had a comedian, magic show, some Broadway style-shows and Elysium (Sirque de Soleil type show). I wish there were more game shows, trivia and such, as on past cruises we have had a huge variety of those each day but on this cruise they were a bit lacking. Pool Two pools and 4 hot tubs on the main deck, were never super crowded. We were always able to find seating. Celebrity does a good job with placing the chairs around the pool. Adult pool was also very nice and great option if you do not have kids, since the weather was a bit chilly. Lots of poolside games, entertainment, zumba, etc, if you want activities and music. Specialty restaurants We ate in Qsine, which is a favorite of ours - highly recommended for unique foods you cannot find anywhere. Also, the Porch on Deck 15 offers amazing seafood options, including lobster, for just $25 per person. We loved it and would definitely go back. Kids Club Our son was in the 10-12 year olds and loved all the activities - scavenger hunts, games, Xbox, movies. They had toddler time for kids under 3 each morning but only for 1 hour, which was not enough on sea days as there is not much else for the little ones to do when the weather is cold. Lots of teens on this sailing, so the Teen club was always a fun place to be. Overall, we had a great time! The service, as always on Celebrity, was top-notch. Lots of different bars and entertainment spaces to hang out in. They offer in-cabin babysitting for $19/hour, which is great if you have little ones but still want to go out at night. Embarkation was a breeze, disembarkation got a little crowded around 9am but we managed to get out in less than an hour. Read Less

Chosen for winter sun. Ports uninspiring. Indian visas were a complete, and very expensive, debacle that Celebrity needs to get a grip on - their advice differed from person to person. Unusually, some of the crew were indifferent, at best, and plain rude at worst. Most crew were great but there were more than a few dissenters. 8th cruise with Celebrity and will definitely not be on a Millennium class ship again - our 3rd time on one and they are all very tired and getting shabby. Not Celebrity's finest cruise offering. Tuscan Grill was excellent every time (esp the serving staff and the Somelier). Qsine was good once and terrible twice. Getting a sunbed around the pool was a daily disaster - staff did nothing about beds being 'booked by towel' and when some people 'booked' 2 beds each. When challenged the guilty passengers merely shouted at anyone who dared touch their towel/magazine....never seen this on a Celebrity boat before. Usually the pool crew apply a strict 'use it or lose it' policy on sunbeds. Some people rose at 5am to book beds! The whole itinerary for this cruise needs review and the ship needs replaced or properly updated. Read Less

We were with our adult 'kids' and lovely wives! Excellent cruise. Only real disappointment was the entertainment. Many cast shows and not much else. We did enjoy 'These Guys' very much! Embarkation was excellent - disembarkation not so much. Crawled through lineup for 1.5 hours. Ugh! Cabin was veranda and we always enjoy. Dining usually excellent. Service as always was beyond expectations. Every crew member tries so hard to please. We will use them again but hope for better entertainment. Ship was unable to get into Key West due to wind. Not an issue for us as we love sea days. Grand Cayman we booked an excursion to Stingray City but were unable to go because of winds. We decided to do a last minute bus tour offered at port and had lots of fun! Saw areas we didn't expect to see. Cozumel, we took taxis to a quite deserted beach and it was best day of cruise! 2nd Jan 2018 Sailed out of Sydney Australia We chose this cruise because it sailed up the east coast of Australia and as Aussies we wanted to check out our own country having seen more of America than our own back yard. Cabin, dining, food gets a excellent tick Beverage, photos, shore excursions gets a rip off extremely high prices thumbs down To play the pokies you had to get a cash advance from the casino desk (unless you had cabin credit) and they charge 5% on top of the amount required just so you can put the US money back into the machines. What a joke. another cruises you simply insert your sea card, rack up money on your account whilst playing in the casino it it gets added to your account at the end of the cruise. 1 bingo session in the whole cruise that cost a fortune. $59 for the top pack to give the most chances that would normally be worth $30 on P&O or Princess. And because we were on a American ship although we were in Aussie water for the most part everything was in US dollars so add 25% to everything. Shows were decent but not excellent Musicians around the ship were excellent but unless you like drinking or "Self help" seminars there wasn't much else to do in my opinion. Can of coke $4-50 Half glass of "premium" orange juice $4-50 1 x photograph print $25-00 20 x photo package $300 Endless digital pics $300 Cocktails starting at $9 for thin tall glasses. Premium drink package $77/nigh per person Classic package (everything except for top shelf spirits and bourbons $67/night. Flip do your sums. That's a lot of money especially when turned into Aussie dollars. 12 night cruise x 2 people x classic package x $67 = $1608US ($2020AUD). Geez that's a lot of grog to drink to break even Up to 1/3 more expensive for shore excursions (we saved over $750 AUD booking our tours before the cruise or when we got into port) Be careful people, check what currency is being used, drink prices and shore excursions, photo and other packages before booking. Booked on Celebrity again for the New Year's Eve holiday cruise. Last year, we celebrated New Year's on the Reflection and it was a newer ship. Silhouette needs a little TLC but very, very nice. We stayed in cabin 9303 (aft - sunset verandah) Concierge's class. Please note: the roof doesn't cover the entire verandah! We were whisked away while embarking and taken to the main dining room for a Concierge's lunch. Much less crowded than the buffet and we loved it! So glad Celebrity is doing this now. We were a party of 13 and the first night we were not all seated together. They had two tables for us. The next day and throughout the remainder of the cruise, we had one nice, big table. Would like to commend the main dining room staff for their excellent service! I have a few complaints: PILLOWS - horrible! I didn't get a decent night's sleep. They say they have a pillow menu, but I think it's time to revamp the pillows. Second complaint: They didn't bring beach towels to our cabin as we are accustomed with other Celebrity ships; we had to get our own by the pool area. Last complaint: There are not enough kids' activities on board. I understand there's a Kid's Club, but my granddaughter had just turned 4 and is a very active, lively girl. My son and daughter-in-law didn't feel comfortable leaving her in the Kid's Club and were disheartened when there were no kid's activities to do with mom and dad. The ports we visited did not disappoint. We had great weather and had a lovely time in Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, and St. Kitts. We look forward to sailing again with Celebrity! Read Less

Overall we had a great cruise and we find Celebrity to be elegant. However, our stateroom was the smallest we've ever had on a cruise. We travelled with our 10 year old daughter and when her bed was pulled out we couldn't get out on our balcony. However we enjoyed the large balcony in stateroom 7080 due to the placement on the ship. Our stateroom attendant was great. The ship is beautiful but the dining room food is average. The only night we enjoyed the food in the dining room was on lobster night. Not only lobster but other good entrees also. If you select "free/unassigned" seating in the dining room you need to make a reservation or you'll end up waiting for about 45 minutes to be seated. They don't have the free style dining approach figured out like other cruise lines. Also the service in the free seating area was slow. We really enjoyed the experience at Qsine. The service was excellent and the food was great. We also enjoyed the Steakhouse but not as much as Qsine. Kids club was nice BUT very few 10 year old girls on trip. My daughter met some girls on the cruise but not at the kids club. I was just a coincidence that more boys were on the cruise girls. If there were more 10 - 12 year old girls she would have been glued to the kids club. We upgraded the beverage package to premium when we checked in and we were happy we did so because the wine by the glass is much better in the premium package. Celebrity labels their on Kendall Jackson Reserve for both the cab and chardonnay call "elegance" and we enjoyed both much better than any other wine by the glass ($13/glass w/o the premium package). The Classic and Premium packages both entitled you to the barista coffee which is MUCH better than the regular coffee. I would suggest waiting to upgrade until you check-in at the port as they were offering slightly better prices on the upgrade and half off the non alcohol beverage package. We only made it to one show which was the Beatles and it was excellent. We wished we would have gone to more shows. Overall enjoyed the captain, the crew and ship. Read Less

We chose this cruise based on amazing experiences in the past on this ship. The Good the ship is still in decent enough condition. We managed to escape from the bomb cyclone and had decent weather. The Bad The food was hit an miss with food either being overcooked, cold, bland more so than being done right. Waitstaff: on a number of occasions waitstaff in the oceanview cafe could be heard commenting on the appearance of guests making for uncomfortable situations. Would prefer that they do this in their quarters. They also have a problem with waitstaff on one side of the ship ogling women: to the point where we would avoid certain waitstaff. Barstaff: some pleasant, some annoyed to serve. Again their comments about guests were within earshot making for uncomfortable dining experiences. Cabin: We were convinced by an agent to 'upgrade' to the front of the ship. We were mistaken/mislead as to how bad the noise and vibrations would be during embarkation/disembarkation affecting my wife's sleep. She could not deal with the jackhammer/machine gun turret noise/vibration early in the morning. Check out our video and judge for yourselves: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_CT4I1tjeY Guest Relations: When we went to guest relations to deal with the situation, we were treated as though our issue was an absolute mystery. When guest relations was able to decipher our issue, their solution was to send a manager to corroborate our claim, which was also treated as a mystery. When discussing the issue with the cleaning staff, they confirmed was a common issue and not a mystery. Our issue was that the room was advertised as an 'upgrade' without any notification regarding the acoustics of the room. Had we known this information prior to booking, we would not have selected this 'upgraded' room. This ruined our chance to enjoy any new years eve celebration since my wife could not alleviate her headache from lack of sleep. Pool Staff: they are very quick to grab your towels should the wind sweep any indication that you are occupying a lounge. After a swim, I came back to find my shirt and towels gone from my lounge. When asked who/where the towel staff took my shirt and towel, they had no idea and brought me back a woman's hoodie. I specifically told them that it was a green t-shirt - a Christmas gift from my wife. Activities: fine although inconsistent with the schedule. Some were cancelled/no shows. Entertainment: the live music was pitiful. We did not bother with any shows. Bonus??: the captain did offer an open bar due to the disembarkation nightmares in Grand Cayman. This was more trouble than what it was worth as the bar staff denied that there was an open bar. When corrected, they were downright angry to offer any of us a free beverage. Furthermore, there was an offer for free wifi for 2 hours, which was a nice gesture, although it was quite slow. Overall: quite disappointed with the experience. Read Less
