Mixed feelings about it

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Celebrity Infinity

We chose this for the itinerary to see more of Spain and Portugal. Infinity is an older ship but we're ok with that. Staff were all excellent. Entertainment was mixed. Will Martin was the highlight and performed on two nights. The female violinist was good. We walked out of the male violinist. We also walked out of the magician/comedian who did old routines and wasn't funny. The entertainment crew ...

Lovely Cruise!

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Infinity

Infinity was the only ship visiting the ports we wanted to explore. It was a wonderful cruise to discover Spain and Portugal and much better than the train or flying. For an older ship, Infinity is still lovely! Yes - she needs to be refurbished - but I love the older style. Would hate to see them change to a sleek, modern decor. We stayed in a Celebrity Suite (which we loved) and enjoyed all ...

I shall return to the reason for my title heading a little later in this review. We had not cruised with Celebrity in twenty years (the last being on the Infinity in Alaska) so therefore not in their Solstice class ships, so it was hard to give a true comparison, except to say that by and large this cruise was great value for money! Both pre and post covid, we have chosen to sail on the ...

Celebrity Infinity - Spain and Portugal

The Celebrity Infinity is an older ship but is maintained well and the cleaning staff are first rate. Stateroom: we had a prime oceanview cabin. We had a super bargain rate for an inside cabin including classic drinks, wifi and onboard credit, so we took the chance and bid for an upgrade which was accepted - $160 pp. Our room was kept spotless. The furnishings were a bit worn but clean. We had ...

Would be 5* as Celebrity do so many things so well, but one thing needs addressing

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Celebrity Infinity

We were originally doing this cruise with two other couples a few years ago, but the dreaded covid interfered with our original plans. Overall, Celebrity seem to be one of a minority of cruise lines who have recovered better than most after the pandemic. There’s no shortage of staff, who are as good as ever. The food is up to the usual Celebrity standard. In fact in certain areas such as soups ...

We were on the APEX Sept. 11, 2022 for a 12 day repositioning cruise Amsterdam to Rome. Celebrity admitted that the ship was understaffed by 225 crew members, and it showed. Dining service was impacted. One meal took 2.5 hours. Overall, the food seems to have slipped compared to past Celebrity experiences. We sent 3 entrees back for poor quality during the cruise. One tour guide was an hour late ...

Transatlantic Harwich to Fort Lauderdale

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Celebrity Infinity

Reading some reviews of Infinity I was expecting to be a little disappointed but delighted to say that my lowered expectations were well exceeded in most areas. Reaching Harwich was a pain, needing a train and platform change at Manningtree - not fun with luggage and must be awful for anyone with mobility issues. Boarding simple and painless and the cabin was very quickly available. No surprises ...

A few things need improving

First off, there was nothing in the end that would put me off going back on Celebrity This was number 5 with Celebrity and we noticed a slip in a few areas. ll staff were very friendly, smiling and cordial. Our room attendant was on the ball and the food overall was good. Dining: Select: We selected this as we wanted the ability to eat later than 6 but not at 08:30pm. Most meals were good or very ...

Good But Some Improvements Needed

We just returned from a 2 week Trans-Atlantic cruise on the Celebrity Infinity, leaving Harwich UK on 10/13/14. This was my wife’s and my first cruise. We had a veranda room mid-ship on deck 7. Overall, I would give the trip a grade of 80%. The trip was better than we expected, and we were happy and satisfied. But there are definitely areas where a small amount of work could bring much ...

Upon arrival to the ship, all went like clockwork until we got to the buffet line. Then, it was like 1000 people hadn't eaten for a month! There was pushing, almost shoving to get to the buffet line. Welcome to your cruise! Having a walking disability, made it difficult to maneuver. Why Celebrity didn't have the restaurant open, when they knew the number of passengers boarding (at the same ...
