We chose this cruise as friends had been on it
Before and said how good it was. Having done many previous cruises with Royal Caribbean, Princess, P&O, Carnval and the first ever withThomson (Tui-now Marella), I was expecting exciting things: believing that Celebrity were the 5* cruise line (out of the Carnival owned ships). Currently onboard and whilst aspects of the cruise are good, there are ...
Even though this is the oldest of the EDGE class ships it is my favourite. I think it must be the staff on the EDGE make all the difference. .
Not much to add to my last review of the EDGE, apart from....
If you are not happy with anything on the ship from dining to entertainment don't moan about it, or accept it, do something about it. In nearly all circumstances, the staff on the ship ...
My husband and I chose this cruise for our Golden (50th) wedding Anniversary as we had cruised with Celebrity on Silhouette before and knew the suite that we wanted having stayed in it before so wanted to stay in this again for this special occasion as we knew the quality of the staterooms, food and staff efficiency and friendliness. We certainly were not disappointed as they excelled in all ...
Everything was perfect for this cruise, I could not it fault in any aspect.
Having last travelled with Celebrity to the Canaries in 2017 which was brilliant in every way, we thought the company would not be able to achieve such high levels of service throughout.
Well they did!
From the moment we boarded to our very last steps off the ship, the welcome, friendliness and sheer work ethic ...
we had a great trip, enjoyed Italy, the Greek islands and turkey. got to spend three days in Rome before cruise, amazing sites the Vatican is a must in my opinion. we did the private before open to public tour with breakfast in the pine cone courtyard. Time well spent before the crowds! we used Rome Chauffeur from airport to Double Tree, to Port and back to airport, they were awesome, on time all ...
A sister ship of the Equinox which I also cruised a few years ago, I has excited to revisit this class of ship.
We were on the 11 night Med cruise out of Rome to Sicily, Greece, Turkey and returning to Rome. Very excited as it was our first Med cruise and never been to turkey or Greece before.
The Ship is around 10 years old and has not had a major refurb yet (but is due to soon). Overall ...
We stayed a couple of days in Rome beforehand and took a Rome Airport Transportation car down to the port at Civitavecchia on embarkation day. Celebrity’s organisation at the terminal was excellent, it really did exceed expectations - we had booked a retreat class suite and the check-in service could not have been better. There is a dedicated suite section and we were on the ship within 15 minutes ...
Well it sure was'nt the carribbean...lol. It was a sedate crowd with very little to do on sea days. The shows at night were very good and plenty of seating with 50% occupancy on the ship. The main dining room food was hit or miss and some of the meat was very tough. Eden was fabulous with excellent food and service. Steakhouse also very good. We should not have to pay extra for a nice dinner. ...
I just finished Celebrity's survey that they email you post-cruise, but it did not give me a chance to say what I really wanted about this much anticipated cruise. Instead, this is going to be a really long review so I can get it all said!
As an introduction, I am soon to be 65 and my husband is soon to be 68 with our son who is 18 and starting college in August. We live outside Philadelphia ...
I've previously sailed on the Equniox and thought it a much better ship. The Apex was beautiful, but not enough common areas to hang out to read a book or gather at a table to play a game. No promenade, no library, no ice bar. 14 decks compared to 19 on the Equinox, seems they took away common area for rooms. I appreciate we were only at 50% capacity, otherwise it would have been impossible to ...
