Pros: The crew on board the Equinox were great and the service in the dinning room was top notch. The entertainment in the theater was very good and the ships dance group sang and performed very well. The ship is kept spotless from stem to stern. All the crew members were always smiling and asking if there was something we needed. We had a balcony stateroom and it had plenty of hanging and storage ...
Overall my experience was great but from what I had heard about Celebrity, I was disappointed. The food was good but not great. The dessert selection in the dining room was limited and I only had one dessert that was very good. Many of the desserts in the Ocean Café were cake, fluff, and fruit pie filling that all tasted the same.
We dined at the Tuscan Restaurant and while the food was good, ...
We got a great deal on this cruise and loved the itinerary. The ship was beautiful and in great condition. My husband was missing the outdoor movie screen he so enjoys. Our cabin was spacious with plenty of storage space. I did not like the shower as the shower head was fixed and not detachable. In a small space this is an annoyance. The food in the dinning room was a huge disappointment. ...
This was our return transatlantic cruise after 1.5 months travels in Europe. We usually choose an Aqua class or Sky suite, and this time it was Aqua mainly because of Blu restaurant that we like more than Luminae. The Ship is large but there was unavoidable overcrowding....that is expected. Cabin met our expectations, and we had great cabin attendants, Dinesh and Roy. The balcony was washed 2 ...
We enjoy transatlantic cruises because they offer the best value for your money. Except for the major problem with the cabin, it was a thoroughly enjoyable cruise. As always, the staff, service, and food were extra-ordinary. We have taken well over thirty cruises and can say without exception, the Equinox has the best cruise director we have ever seen. Alejandro Tortorelli was witty, entertaining, ...
This was my 12th transatlantic crossing with Celebrity. With the success of Captain's Club, traveling with Celebrity home has become very difficult to the point this will probably be our last 'over the pond' with Celebrity.
We stay in Aqua Class for access to Blu which is totally amazing - service and people are very special and we will miss it. Service overall is wonderful and the ship is ...
We sailed the Celebrity Reflection from Rome thru the Eastern Mediterranean in 2013 and it was a wonderful experience. With that in mind we choose the Celebrity Equinox for our first Transatlantic crossing ending in Barcelona. We have sailed often from Fort Lauderdale as it is only three and half hours from Sarasota. We spend the night before in the Hilton just across from Port Everglades, drop ...
We have sailed 21 times from a range of average to luxury ships and have found that Celebrity has normally offered the best quality to price ratio. This was our third trans-Atlantic cruise and we chose a Sky suite category, which was spacious, and comfortable with adequate storage closets and drawers. Unfortunately, our room was located right under a huge overhang platform above, and shut out any ...
Reviews about the food on this ship had it rated as excellent, best of almost any cruise ship. I didn't find it that great, but maybe my expectations were set to high because of our EXCELLENT experiences previously on another Celebrity cruise ship. I am not a gourmet, but I would rate the food aboard the Equinox as average with a number of areas in much need of improvement.
Most of the onboard ...
We are a retired couple who cruise one to two times a year. Or used to, I think we are re-thinking the current cruise quality overall.
We have been on NCL, Princess, RCCL, and Celebrity more than once each. Since starting to cruise in 1990's, we have noticed a decline in the quality of all aspects of cruising in general. More on this later.
We took a transatlantic cruise on Celebrity Equinox on ...
