First time I sailed with Celebrity Cruises and it was absolutely amazing. It was worth every penny. We were treated first class, the service was second to none. All staff were welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere on the ship was like one big happy family from both staff and guest. The food was of a high standard and a wide variety, fresh and taste was excellent. We were spoilt for choice. Certainly amazed at the standard of cleanliness and the whole operations of the ship. The rooms were spacious, clean and the steward assigned to the room was ver attentive and was very helpful. The facilities met every need of each gues. A variety of activities when at sea, you could do as much or as little as you want. If you take a cruise with Celebrity you will not be disappointed. Good selection of islands stops and use local transport. Highly recommended it will be a cruise liner/company I will be using again. Well done, i applaud you all for all you hard work and having a smile each day. GREAT!!!! Read Less

Celebrity Equinox had excellent food and service. I had dinner every night in the dining room. All my tablemates and I agreed the food was fantastic every night. I saw no reason to go to the specialty restaurants as the food was so good. Service was excellent, too. Even the buffets were very good with a huge variety of food. There was an excellent female singer at the pool and almost nightly singing in the main lobby, where people danced. The casino was very large and nonsmoking. They even had a $5 Blackjack table! There is a free children's program for each age group. I would highly recommend the Luggage Valet. It is $25. After you put your luggage out the last night, it is taken care of until you arrive at your home airport. You don't have to get it from the conveyer belt after you disembark the ship or lug it or carry it at anytime until after your flight home. I've used it on several cruises, and it is a pleasure and well worth the money!!!! Read Less

We chose this cruise for the itinerary with a three day stop in New Orleans for Jazzfest. It was an excellent cruise. The entertainment was excellent. My only criticism was boarding. It was the worst I have had in over 60 cruises. The ship was late due to repositioning from Fort Lauderdale. We were advised of that, but the checkin and was disorganized. The service aboard was excellent. The food was very good, but the variety was not as good in the main dining room. The hostess was excellent. She made sure we had the same waiters each night. The ship was handicapped friendly and enabled us to have a great vacation. The entertainment on the ship was very good. The six singers were outstanding as was the dancers. The guest entertainers were fairly average. We only took one shore excursion in Key West. It was a multilanguage tour on an accessible bus. We did New Orleans on our own with local transportation. We visited the French Quarter and the World War Two museum. Read Less

The annual Georgia Bar Association Advanced Urgent Legal Matters At Sea (Continuing Legal Education Seminar) cruise did not disappoint! A few little glitches since this was the first Caribbean cruise after the ship transitioned from Europe, but once we got under weigh, it was smooth sailing. We had a Celebrity Suite (1622) which was nice, but the bathroom and bedrooms were both a lot smaller than other suites we have sailed in on Princess and Royal Caribbean ships. Food and service in Michael's Club and Luminae restaurant were spectacular. Specialty restaurants Murano and Tuscan Grille had both great food, ambiance, and service. We were so tired by the end of the day that we never made it to the evening shows! Would highly recommend the Equinox to anyone wanting a relaxing trip. The spa services were really good, and the Persian Garden was very relaxing. Am ready to go cruising again . . . anytime Read Less

We certainly enjoyed our large group (100 members) cruise on the Celebrity Equinox. The captain, his officers and Activities Director and Team were so personable, funny and very good at what they do. We did many more activities than we ever did before. The evening concert on The Lawn with blankets and pillows provided was a big hit with many of us. The evening entertainment was top notch!! Loved Top Chef at Sea. The dining room, buffet and specialized restaurant food were very good. Several in our group were in suites and were surprised to discover they could not join us and eat in the main dining room. They had to eat in designated dining rooms. Our group was supposed to have a block of tables indicated with signs on each table in the Silhouette Dining Room. Did not happen the first night and several other evenings. I miss "formal nights". These cruises have guests mainly between the ages of 50 and up who look forward to these special evenings. One day, we saw a bare-chested man entering the Oceanview Cafe. He was stopped 2' inside the door by a server and told he needed a shirt. We did have lunch in the Silhouette dining room and saw both men and women wearing baseball caps. Would have liked to see a staff member ask them to remove their hats or suggest they take a more casual cruise line. We were surprised the dining room ran out of Pinot Noir and Pinot Grigio! Our Stateroom Attendant, Bernadeth, was an asset to Celebrity Cruise Lines. Very pleasant, helpful and hard-working. Read Less

I've read the other reviews on this particular cruise and rather than repeating the same things, I just want to add some thoughts... After years of all kinds of work in all kinds of industries, I've developed a true love of great customer service. In my opinion it is the core to success in business. I'm not talking about financial success, but about the kind of success that makes you proud of what you've done. Knowing that you've served your clients to the absolute best of your ability. That they KNOW you really care about them and that they truly are appreciative of your patronage. Being the best you can be.. seeking excellence in everything you do... this is true success. And Celebrity was the best example of this attitude I have EVER seen in all my years of working for and dealing with businesses. It absolutely BLEW ME AWAY. Are they just great at faking sincerity? Honestly, it felt real. They really cared about everything. They did everything with incredible care and attention. From the friendly smiles and warm greetings, to the towel animals on our beds every night, we were never made to feel like we created more dreaded 'work' for our the employees. I do think I will write a letter thanking Celebrity's HR department for hiring such great people. I don't know how they do it, but the collection of staff on board were very special. I can't say enough how impressed we were. We are spoiled forever as I can't see ever finding myself looking at another cruise line. How can I go with anyone else? Read Less
