I have been on several cruises, mostly with Royal Caribbean but one prior Celebrity cruise eight years ago. The difference between that pervious Celebrity cruise and this one is noteworthy.
This sailing left from Port Everglades, logistics and parking were typical and if you filled out all the documents and requests prior to embarkation day, it’s extremely quick. It’s worth the time to submit ...
Two years ago we sailed to the Caribbean on the Celebrity Reflection. It was an amazing experience! In the meantime we sailed with our teens on Royal Caribbean. RC is great for families, but definitely not the upscale experience we had on the Reflection. We decided to go back to Celebrity this year and pay the higher prices for the higher quality experience.
While the food, entertainment and ...
We chose this cruise because we had a leftover credit (pandemic). We typically choose "Aqua class" even though the room is same as standard but access to restaurant "Blu" is a bonus. However, we noticed that the food was inconsistent at Blu- at times excellent, others food was cold, meat undercooked, and vegetables often overcooked. The first night we were advised to go to the main dining room ...
We love sailing Celebrity and often try to cruise this time of year. As always, we enjoyed our cruise, especially since we thought we'd have to cancel a few weeks before due to a back problem. We were able to go once we rented a scooter and made arrangements for wheelchair assistance embarking and disembarking. The crew could not have been more helpful and made our trip as enjoyable as always. We ...
Husband and I have been on dozens of cruises on Carnival, Crystal, Regent, Windstar, Viking, NCL, Princess and this our 4th with Celebrity. We had scheduled a family Celebrity cruise for March 2020 when Covid shut everything down. We were leery about cruising but didn’t want to lose our credits at year end. So while the rest of the family made their own plans and some let their credits lapse, we ...
First off allow me to be clear- I am not what you would call a cruise veteran. My only prior cruise experience was 37 years ago. Of course things have changed in this time. But I do not feel that changed for the better.
I am going to address the food first. The main banquet dining on Deck 14 had a huge variety, but the quality was pretty poor. I was rather shocked by this given the reputation ...
Boarding on Equinox was a breeze.
Once on board, the ship was clean but could use some updating. The Buffet area seemed to have the biggest improvement since I was last on this ship. The main dining room needs some improvement. It is beginning to look dated.
The crew and staff were all nice. Bar service in the lounges and at the Martini bar was a little slow, ( not enough bar tenders and ...
We chose Celebrity Equinox as a follow to Celebrity Reflection.....we were disappointed with some of the cruise.
The cabin was good; the carpet was not in great shape and needs to be replaced. The AC worked great! Our attendant was amazing!!!
The dining room was short staffed....the meals were mediocre at best...I ordered Pork loin for lunch - i got 2 pieces of ham - breakfast in ...
Took this cruise to celebrate someone's milestone b'day. It had been scheduled a year earlier, but due to Covid was postponed. Same ship, our group changed a bit, similar itinerary. We generally like Celebrity a lot, and now the wi-fi (poor !), gratuities, and basic beverage package are included. Great!
No Bingo? No pool party? No Cruise Critic party? etc. Noticeable cut backs or changes ...
We chose this cruise based on the ship and the length of time for the trip which was 12 nights. There were many good things about this adventure such as the solarium and the service…the staff really works hard to keep everyone happy. We ate at 2 specialty restaurants called Tuscan and Murano and the food and service was excellent…there were 4 in our group and we all felt the meal at Murano was the ...
